But I don't really agree that comments should use default writer font. IMHO, comments should use a style, just like everything else, only picking those features (font, size, etc.) that are actually applicable to comments. What's the default writer font? Is there such a thing? I suppose he meant the font specified for the Default Style, which is of course a style. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70645 --- Comment #8 from Dominique Boutry dominique.bout...@laposte.net --- LibO 4.1.2.3 on Win7 : After a number of trials and errors on the .ODT provided file, I manage to get a situation which could be in relation with the present bug 70645. I had noticed that the truncated text occured on the sole and unique paragraph with direct formating in Dejavu Sans in the underlying Text Body native paragraph style. After I tried to modify this paragraph style in the stylist, Writer fell into an endless cycling error with undiscontinued disk activity. After a few seconds I stopped abruptly the process (being afraid of what happened to my PC), and I experimented then difficulties to recover the file, in a new attempt to use Writer. I'm just suggesting an area of search : modifying a standard template file, which could have repercussions on other stored documents based on this standard. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 70645] : Sudden erasure of partially completed letter
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70645 --- Comment #9 from Michael Parker mspwooda...@talktalk.net --- Many thanks Dominique for the time and trouble you are taking. I understand most of the detail to which you refer and it does look as though you were able to, more or less, reproduce the situation I experienced. If it will be of any help, I can mention that the Writer document was started by first erasing an older piece of correspondence. The old text appeared half way up, and in between, the logo and address panel with the email address above that. It was not originated in this fashion but for some reason, was stored this way. The original letter, before erasure, was formed using Times New Roman font name and font size 9. .The content of the original letter was erased, i.e. the 1st. sheet of A4. However, text was typed on to a 2nd. sheet, about a quarter of a page, but I'm unsure whether or not this was erased at the same time as the 1st page, but my thoughts probably were, at the time, that this did not matter, for if I required a 2nd sheet on which to continue, then erasure could be done accordingly. I made a decision, when I created the new text, to change the font name and sizing, as you mentioned. I wonder if trying to mix styles and sizing, together with erasing an old document, was a sensible thing. With hindsight, it would be better to start with a blank document only containing the logo and address. In the interests of not reproducing the same problem again, it would sensible not to try again my original method of creation. I can understand that any new document being created could be confused by any such changes. I hope this information is of help. Sincerely.Mike Parker - Original Message - From: bugzilla-dae...@freedesktop.org To: mspwooda...@talktalk.net Sent: Wednesday, November 06, 2013 11:11 AM Subject: [Bug 70645] : Sudden erasure of partially completed letter Comment # 8 on bug 70645 from Dominique Boutry LibO 4.1.2.3 on Win7 : After a number of trials and errors on the .ODT provided file, I manage to get a situation which could be in relation with the present bug 70645. I'm unable to reproduce the sequence and to give more info for the time being. -- You are receiving this mail because: a.. You reported the bug. No virus found in this message. [17:02] @vmiklos jorendc: if so, then the cached result of the field is OK, but not the field instruction, that's why you get bad results after the field update. [17:03] @vmiklos if you look into the docx file manually, that may help to decide if the field instruction is already wrong (export problem), or that's ok, then you have an import problem. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57189 --- Comment #10 from Lukas Jelinek de...@aiken.cz --- I would like to clarify what Urmas probably means. Steps to reproduce: 1. Select some cells in Calc. 2. Copy the selected cells. 3. Create a table in Writer and place the cursor into it. 4. Paste the clipboard content (Edit - Paste or Ctrl+V). -- or alternatively -- 5. Open special paste dialog (Edit - Paste special or Ctrl+Shift+V) and then select any paste method. Expected result: The table is inserted as cell-to-cell. Roughly speaking, each source cell's content is inserted into the appropriate destination cell. If the source cell set has more columns and/or rows then the destination one a dialog should be displayed. The user then choose how to handle this situation (truncate or extend). -- or alternatively -- The default behavior remains the same as now. But the special paste method list contains another item (e.g. Cells) which provides the way described above.
