I found that I have missed 2 steps in making a nested list. The info came from a wikidoc on v3.4 but it works on v4 just the same. This works on any text, except Title text. 1. I need to put the cursor at the beginning of the list text, not highlighting the text, in order to change the list level. 2. Press tab to promote the list level and shift-tab to demote it. Also, I have misunderstood the function of the outline mode which describes the flow of the presentation and has nothing to do with formatting a bullet list. With respect to alt-shift-arrow keys for modifying the list level, it will work on lists defined in the layout i.e., Outline Text, but will not work on a list in a Text Frame. In addition, Title text does not support bullet list. This is similar to what Thomas described in Comment 3. For missing endnotes.xml and footnotes.xml, LibreOffice does not write back these files if those are empty. If you check endnotes.xml and footnotes.xml, you can observe these files are empty. Hence LibreOffice is not writing them back while exporting the document. And surely there is a problem with webSettings.xml. Right now working on corruption part. But before the list was also taken from the same platform elsewhere, from which I selected, copied and pasted the list directly (use Linux Debian Wheezy), but in this I was missing some data. In seeking to relate the two listings using the VLOOKUP function to ensure there are no errors, I find that the names with Spanish characters like Ñ not feeling well. Attached file with the problem. If I write a word Ñ directly, yes the find, could be a problem of encoding types and although I watch a Ñ may be internally encoded in UTF-8 and other UTF-16 or ISO-8859-1 or something. Is it because it was mentioned, in the discussion above, that the bug is not present in Windows? I thought I made it abundantly clear that the bug is on Linux and, in particular, Fedora Linux and only in the RPMs distributed by LibreOffice. Under Windows, LibreOffice works fine for me, too, so that is irrelevant. As I said that I would be happy to help testing, by replacing the Fedora-supplied RPMS with the LibreOffice ones, should the need arise, I did just that, hoping to verify that the bug had disappeared in the current release. I am sorry to report that the bug persists in LibreOffice 4.1.3.2. I did the test on a VirtualBox VM running Fedora 20 beta x86_64, after erasing my profile. As before, the Fedora-supplied RPMs work fine. Three new icons have appeared on the top of toolbar of LibreOffice (LO). One icon has a green arrow, another icon has a red arrow the third has a magnifying glass. However, I am not sure it is working. For example, the repetition of words is not underlined like it used to when I had installed LanguageTool. Some of the files that I used to check LightProof lost its formatting on clicking the above-mentioned icons. The good part is that I find LightProof does not slow the starting of LO unlike LanguageTool that required Java I feel Java was responsible for slowing LO which used to take upto 14 seconds to start. Now LO starts in around 2 seconds (without Java). I would like the add that I am using Ubuntu 13.10 that was upgraded from 13.04. Here, the comma (,) stands for thousand separator, the dot (.) for decimal separator. But in the format string, these symbols are locale-dependent. This format string is only valid for locales where the comma is used for thousands, and the dot is decimal separator. In other locales, the corresponding characters from the locale must be used instead. For example, here in Russia, we use comma (,) as decimal separator, and space ( ) as thousands separator. In this case, the correct format string looks like this: # ##0,00;[RED]-# ##0,00. And it works. This is very frustrating, and since it does not appear to happen to others, I'm worried that it will prevent me from using LO. I know I probably should make this a separate report, but I wonder if it is related to a different problem that crashes LO. I regularly export directly to PDF. Since I updated to the newest LO, whenever I export directly to PDF, LO crashes. But if I print to PDF, then export direct to PDF, it doesn't. This at least is something I can work around, but I just wonder if more knowledgeable people than me see some connection.
