[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72825] New: FORMATTING: make master slides hierarchy with inheritance
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72825 Priority: medium Bug ID: 72825 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: FORMATTING: make master slides hierarchy with inheritance Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: jfe...@gmail.com Hardware: Other Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: unspecified Component: Presentation Product: LibreOffice Problem description: When creating templates, you usually start with a basic branding which is after declined over variations (backgrounds for instance), but should retain the main attributes, such as styles, etc. It would really be interesting, as with styles, to have a hierarchy of slide masters, with the same workflow as styles (create new master from this master), identical, which you can change the needed attributes only. Currently, without the ability to even copy slide masters, the workflow is to write down every single step of customisation for a master, and restart all over again for another one with only different attributes (such as style list, frame placement or just background). With inheritance, it would enable to modify the top-most slide master, and have attributes such as fonts, colors (to adapt to a different background image for instance) et al. modified on all children, the same way it works with styles. Steps to reproduce: 1. Go to View = Master = slide master 2. Try to create a new slide master from an existing one 3. Modify the new slide master for the only attributes needed. Current behavior: not possible. You cannot even copy an existing slide master. (BZ#45617 at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45617) Expected behavior: There should be a context sensitive entry in the Slide pane on each slide master, that enables the Copy slide master or better Create new slide master from this one which would retain inheritance. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72830] New: Connectors do not snap to grid and do not react on Shift key
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72830 Priority: medium Bug ID: 72830 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Connectors do not snap to grid and do not react on Shift key Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: nrb...@gmail.com Hardware: Other Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: unspecified Component: Drawing Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 90919 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=90919action=edit ODG file with demonstration of the problem with Straight Connectors As far I can understand - Arrows from Lines and Arrows sub-panel of Drawing toolbar can: 1. be straight (horizontal or vertical = rotated by 45/90/135/180/225/270/315/360) if I press Shift key; 2. snap to grid. I use LibreOffice Draw for diagram creating. So I use elements from Drawing sub-panels Connectors, Glue Points and Basic Shapes. It was a surprise for me, that Straight Connectors do not snap to grid and do not react on Shift key. It is very difficult do connect Connector line to some object without these two options if one of line ends is not connected. The example is in attachment. It demonstrates, that: 1. «Straight Connector ends with Arrow» line does not snap to grid and does not react to Shift key, so it is difficult to keep it horizontal or vertical. 2. «Line Ends with Arrow» line snaps to grid and react to Shift key, but it does not connect to another object (does not have glue-point, it is not a connector). Please, if it possible, allow Connector line to act as other lines (add snap to grid and a reaction on Shift key). Without this changes it will be very difficult to use LO Draw as diagram editor for real life tasks. I see this behaviour on LO Version: 4.1.3.2 Build ID: 410m0(Build:2) and LO 3.5.7.2 Build ID: 350m1(Build:2). [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72832] New: Other: CMIS check out process overwrites document's title property
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72832 Priority: medium Bug ID: 72832 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Other: CMIS check out process overwrites document's title property Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: ibla...@binovo.es Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.1.3.2 release Component: Writer Product: LibreOffice Problem description: When I open a document using the CMIS extension against Alfresco 4.2c, If I use the check-out option so that a working copy is generated and the original version locked, the working copy has the title changed. Steps to reproduce: 1. Configure LibreOffice to access an Alfresco repository using CMIS 2. Open a document from the repository 3. LibreOffice warns you that you are editing the current version instead of checking out the file and it gives you the option to check-out (by the way, fantastic option). 4. Check out, in the repository the a working copy is generated and LibreOffice loads this file instead of the original one. 5. If you go to documents properties and check the title metadata you will see that it has been set to the full path of the file in the repository instead of just leaving it as it originally was in the document. Expected behavior: The documents title metadata shouldn't be changed. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 68353] Other: Standard Deviation Error Bars Are Broken
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68353 kgiz...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDINFO|RESOLVED Resolution|--- |FIXED --- Comment #10 from kgiz...@gmail.com --- (In reply to comment #8) (In reply to comment #7) They are not centered at the data points at all. I agree with you. I wrote in comment #6 Actually the error bars with standard deviation *have to* be centered on *mean* value. It is the way they are in OOo since the beginning and the way they in Excel. You may check on this page 4th and 5th diagram in Excel http://peltiertech.com/Excel/ChartsHowTo/ErrorBars.html Other types of error bars produce the effect you need. You may consider that error bars with standard deviation should be centered on the value, but it is not the way they are handle in office suites from the beginning. Changing now this behavior will introduce more compatibility problems. An easy workaround is to add a column with standard deviation values and use error bar on selected range. If I do not understand your request please give more details or some references. OK, I understand. I will follow your advice and add a column with standard deviation and put error bars there. Marking this resolved.
