[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81132] Removal of formatting options from the right-click context menu
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81132 Cor Nouws c...@nouenoff.nl changed: What|Removed |Added CC||c...@nouenoff.nl --- Comment #4 from Cor Nouws c...@nouenoff.nl --- (In reply to comment #1) I am strongly against this removal. Why do you want we impose the user only one way to access a function? Redundancy is a good thing there, some users could easier find the function in a toolbar, others in a menu and the last in the contextual menu. Basically I agree here. Of course, when the holy grail of the UI forcing proper use of styles is invented, I'll change my opinion here ;) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81146 Priority: medium Bug ID: 81146 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Avoid corruption of registrymodifications.xcu Severity: enhancement Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: kumaras...@gmail.com Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) Status: NEW Version: 4.1.6.2 release Component: Libreoffice Product: LibreOffice Situation: When I experience a system crash or power cut, there's a chance that I lose settings in registrymodifications.xcu. (A new file is created upon reload.) This seems to happen when the file is being written, and the chances of it is greater when AutoSave is set more frequently. It has happen to me a few times before. Now I have it backed up regularly, thus it can be restored. However, this can be very annoying for non-power users. Request: EITHER Isolate the AutoSave from registrymodifications.xcu OR (at least) Have LO run AutoSave only if indeed changes have been made to the doc. (This shouldn't be difficult as LO already has the ability to detect changes since last save. (The slide was copied from a PowerPoint 2010 presentation at one point). Four animations are defined for the text boxes such that on each click, the numbers 2 through 5 should appear. In presentation mode (f5) clicking twice causes 2 and 3 to appear. However, clicking a third time does nothing. For 4 and 5 to appear, two clicks each are required. Also, when moving forward and backward in the animation sequence with the arrow keys, after 3, some corruption occurs such that the animations play in an incorrect order (for example, 5 appears without 4 having appeared). It was a time when I installed an extension, but after installaion I found that extension does not work at all, and I tried to remove it but failed. Then reset my user profile, downloaded the extension again and installed again, now that extension works as expected. Then I have an idea that, libreoffice should include the checksum info in the extension packages, and when isntalling, extension manager should check the integrity of the package. By now, it's even possible to install an empty extension to libreoffice (create a new empty text file test.oxt, then it can be installed to libreoffice). It reduces complexity. If we know that an OpenGL context and a corresponding window are always available we can avoid quite some of the lifecycle pain around OpenGL and vcl Windows. We can of course go back to trying to understand all the different lifecycles and debug horrible corner cases for weeks. I hope that with Tamas' work we are able to move a step closer to a better lifecycle handling but in general it looks like we currently live better if we always initialize OpenGL together with the window. Detecting when an OpenGL method is called is not obvious and makes all the logic more complex. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
