Listen good guys, debugging cost time, and my time is really precious, doing
this kind of work for free, in some kind of utopia (communist) vision of life,
is cool if you are rich, but I'm not and I need cash, making these debugging
for free is really not interesting because I don't have time for this and also
for free... I know that Libre Office is open source project, and I like some
Libre Office feature like auto correction and some advanced function that we
have inside and are not available in Office, but the database or table tool are
very slow to load 5 to 15 time slower that equivalent in office, also the tool
crash a lot, since the version 3 & 4... It is really difficult to good job like
this...

IMO it should behave as it does in Table Design. I just tried it out and:

1) It is checked only if the selected columns are *exactly*
   all of the primary key, no more, no less.

2) When anything else than exactly the primary key is selected,
   clicking on "primary key" *sets* the primary key. No per-field
   toggle!

The SHA-256 hash matches.


Second:

The bug remains if I do not run the language pack installer:

 - Installation in /Applications -> LibreOffice complains of being damaged
 - Installation on ~/Desktop -> Everything runs smooth.

If I compare both places, using

$> diff -u -r ~/Desktop/LibreOffice.app/Contents/
/Applications/LibreOffice.app/Contents/

then I get NO differences.

Sometimes I (and, I think, a lot of others) need to print document not directly
to printer, but changing printer's settings. For example, print document on
both sides and 4 pages on one side, black and white instead of color. Most of
these settings can be changed in Printer settings.
But in LibreOffice writer v 5.0.3.2 click on button "Properties..." in Print
dialog window (File->Print...) or in Printer Setup dialog window (File->Print
Settings...) crashes LibreOffice "Due to an unexpectederror, ..."

I opened a PPT file with Impress, Lo opens it in read-only mode (visible on up
of screenshots).

I go on page 6 and click after the text "Travaux préparatoires", then I enter
the character "é" - the character is added to the text (other characters like
"à" or "ç" seems not change the text)

I add the two files and two screens shots (before and after the character "é")

Please open a separate bug for each format, unless you are really sure the
problem is in some common layer. Which is rather doubtful. E.g., the WPG file
is not imported as expected because libwpg does not support line stroke other
than solid for WPG1 format.

May I ask: if you changed the version field, was there a message/warning on how
to handle that? You should have been informed that the field shows the first

After checking File / Tools / LibreOffice Calc / Print / always print manual
breaks, the result seems fine except the two lines on the last page (I've
annotated the scan joined).

The problem seems to be related in rendering with automatic page breaks (I
don't use manual page breaks)

I can't reproduce, file opens fine. Please provide a screenshot of your CSV
text import options, if you get it. 
I can't also test the chars you wrote, it doesn't paste anything. Please save
in MSO if you have one, or try with some other LO version. 
I recommend using Separate Install GUI tool from
https://flosmind.wordpress.com/si-gui/ which extracts different LO versions, up
to the currenn master without installing.
Please change back to Unconfirmed once you provided the answers.

allowed to administer the system?  For your account, a checkbox "enable user to
administer computer" on the Users and Groups panel in System Preferences.

Please provide OS X build details, and the status of your Java JRE (e.g.
https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1572?locale=en_US if installed, and which Oracle
JRE). Then reset issue back to Unconfirmed, another might have some insight.

example 2 printed all sheets at once single side

this is the scan for example 2 with one File/print command (checking the "Print
all sheets") and printed in color / single sided on the same printer.

pages 1 and 2 are ok
page 3 : the office stamp is misplaced (it disapeared in fact)
pages 4 to 8 are ok
page 9 : the office stamp and all lines are misplaced
pages 10 to 11 are ok
page 11 : the two lines are misplaced (correct in vertical position, but not on
horizontal position)

Not really. Maybe "binary" is used loosely, in the sense "if the format has a
standard header, which can be used for detecting it, it is binary"? It would
explain why T602 is in that section too.

The ods file where matrix formulas give wrong zeroes as results

Open the file Dagum Prova.ods. In the cells H21:H261 (in bold red to be easy to
find) there are simple matrix formulas like this:

=8000*SOMMA(D$22:D37*F$22:F37/10)/H$20

they basically sums elements of a product vector, a very easy and commonplace
operation. 

Results in this case should give a vector of increasing values from 0 to 1.
This is what they gave when created; however after you save the file in .ods
format and reopen it, correct results are gone and you have a vector of zeros
instead (which is plainly wrong).

Notice that if you save the file in .xls format such corruption does NOT take
place: you can check this by opening the file Dagum prova.xls, which is exactly
the same file but saved as XLS.

The results of formulas in the red columns are mirrored also in the chart
placed to the left of the column (line in red shows the data. Again, the graph
is correct in XLS but not in ODS where it shows the wrong zeros vector.

To again obtain the correct results in the ODS file is not simple nor
straightforward: no F9 or ctrl+shift+F9 will do. Even if you reopen for editing
the first formula in H22, change something and then change it again (e.g. add
and delete a space) and input the formula, finally pasting it to the rest of
the vector, you are stuck with the zeros.

A workaround I managed to find is this:
- do the re-editing of the first cell as above, then copy it;
- paste it in the single cell immediately below it (H23);
- select the two cells H22:H23 and copy them;
- select the rest of the red vector and paste the copied range  H22:H23 into
it.

This way your formulas show the correct results again, and these stay on until
you keep the file open, even if re-computed. But when you save it in .ODS,
close and reopen, there you are again with the zeroes vector.

Of course there could be other workarounds.  
While fiddling with the problem, I found out other strange behaviour: suppose
you have the zeroes vector after reopening the saved ODS file. 
Now reopen for editing a cell in the middle of the vector (say H46 for
example), add a space at the end, delete it and re-input the formula with
ctrl+shift+enter: with a fully erratic behaviour, you will now get correct
results not only in H46, but also in all vector cells above it!! Even if you
did not touch any of the H22:H45 range! At the same time the vector cells below
stay with the wrong zeroes instead.

example 2 printed all sheets at once duplex printing

this example is example 2 file printed in color in duplex mode.

you can notice :
page 1 : the office stamp is misplaced (it appears in page 2)
page 2 : the background picture is misplaced (as of single side printing) and
the office stamp should be on page 1
page 3 : no office stamp
pages 4 to 8 are ok
page 9 office stamp and all lines are misplaced
pages 10 to 11 are ok
page 12 the lines are misplaced

Not only the area outside slides, but also the white slide background is also
yellow, as the tiles are transparent there.

Bibisect says the range is
8c10722513b24b47b91f6469684f59c5136f574d..e5b3ec9683e4c5761633a1a3c4819a039e796b01,
that's when the cairo changes went in affecting tiled rendering.

I'll try to bisect it down to a single commit.

Ha, but after installing additional fonts for CJK languages, I realise that
whether I see the bug or not depends on what fonts I have installed. So could

Sorry for the long delay.
I have finally done what you suggested (rename old profile and the problem with
a newly created one).

Sadly, nothing changes, and the behavior shown in the video is always there.

I suspected this, since I have three PCs with different stories and
configurations, all of them showing the problem, but I tried anyway.

I understand that this could be considered a very particular problem for a
generic user, still it is a totally erratic behaviour of the chart and the F9
command that should be corrected IMHO.
As you wrote, I am changing the status back to unconfirmed (even if it is
totally confirmed for me as I said, on my 3 PCs it is always there!!)

I have a macro which searches through text to find unlinked URLs and linkify
them. It uses a SearchDescriptor and regular expressions:

oSearch = oDocument.createSearchDescriptor
oSearch.SearchRegularExpression = TRUE

This creates a new descriptor and then enables regex mode. This FAILS in 5.1,
and looking at the object it does not expose the SearchRegularExpression
property to modify. Is this an API change undocumented in
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/5.1#API_changes or a bug?

The full macro is below, which works fine in 5.0.3:

Hello, after your answer, i've cleared the "Row to Repeat" where they arent
needed, but it doesn't solve the problem.

I'va posted four new attachments ("Lo file example 2", "example 2 as it should
be printed", "example 2 printed all sheets at once single side", and "example 2
printed all sheets at once duplex printing")

As you can see, the problem isn't solved.

The result depends :
- on the number of pages printed
- the presence of graphic objects (pictures and lines in this case)
- the way it is printed (single sided or duplex)

For office needs, it should print as close as possible than the LO document
(for a WYSIWYG office suite, to avoid excessive use of paper / toner and time
to obtain a good result when printing), even if the document is complex.

I used this model of document in Apache OpenOffice 3.4.1 and my coworkers
didn't notice this strange behaviour.

With comment#9 I have marked the bug as new.

Perhaps the option Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice calc/Print - Always apply
manual breaks, that doesn't exist in OOo, makes a difference.

Attached the pdf exported from your file in comment#11 without any change. If
not for you pls test the commented option.

Please don't overwhelm with more comments, except if you find something that is
the source of the issue.

if You try to print out once get a white page. trying to export to PDF same
sesult. testet on 3 printer via network canon IP7250, brother mfc-j5910dw and
samsung clp510n.

works fine with writer on Ubuntu 14.04 LO Version: 4.2.8.2

Whatever your opinion might be, this "software socialism" is working much more
easily than some "tractor socialism" we know from history. Commercial
companies, non-profits and governments all contribute funds and workers towards
the improvement of LibreOffice. Individuals like you have the freedom to
choose, if they want to improve certain parts of the software. Even indirect
work like recruiting developers is valuable.

Your letters of complaint will do nothing to help the situation. If you want to
see improvements, you have to work on them.
