We have the same issue with recent Libreoffice 5.2.

1. Open a .xlsx created by MS Excel and all page break lost.
2. Open a Libreoffice created .xlsx using MS Excel, page break lost too.

I just googled and found someone else have the same issue:

Description:
Inserting page numbers using Insert -->Fields --> Page Count does NOT insert
the actual number of pages in a document, but actually makes the word
"Statistics" appear instead.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In LibreOffice Writer, Select Insert from the pull-down menu.
2. From the Insert menu, select Fields, then Page Count.
3. Instead of counting the total number of pages and inserting the actual
number, LibreOffice Writer inserts the word "Statistics" instead.

Actual Results:  
Instead of the actual number of pages, the word "Statistics" appear.

Expected Results:
Inserting the total number of pages using Insert, then Fields, then Page Count
should insert the total number of pages, e.g. the number 75 in a document that
contains seventy-five (75) pages; or the number 25 in a document that contains
twenty-five (25) pages.

Revert part of tdf#92630

Hello, I reported the bug referenced here - tdf#96739.
It is for "ctrl+shift does not work at all", and so is the commit
mentioned.

as per comment #6 of said bug, the offending commit is:

regression.

while here, write a better comment for the reasoning for the check.

I'm fairly confident this will help, so I am sending it without checking.
Sorry for that - it will take me a very long time to confirm it is correct on
my slow hardware.

Hello Yousuf, thanks for investigating this bug after al this time!

At first I thought that the issue had been solved. When I tested it with a NEW
SIMPLE file in version : 5.1.5.2 it works as it should!

HOWEVER when I used my ancient address book file "Adrboek.odt" that I used
already under Word for Windows, the bug is still there.

My problem is that I used to make A SELECTION from the records in my address
book, and paste them via DDE link in another much smaller document that was
formatted likewise.

This used to work in MS Word, but unfortunately stopped when I switched to
LibreOffice.


To test for yourself I attach part of my "Adrboek.odt. When you select the
"Apotheek"-part, and try to DDE special paste it in a new document, you will
get the "Alarm"-part as well!


Hope this helps and clearifies, and thanks again for your research.

Description:
Table with conditional formatting used in at least one column:
When deleting an entire line the next line's conditional formatting will be
broken when it uses a reference to a neighbor cell.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open example file CondFormatTest.ods (attached)
2. Select any cell in line 2 (e.g. B2)
3. Check the cell's conditional formatting
==> It's dependent on the formula IF(I2="Mediathek") [reference to neighbor
cell]
4. Select menu Table => Delete Line
==> Line 2 disappears and lines 3, 4, and 5 are moved one up.
5. Check conditional formatting of cell H2
==> It's expected to show the formula IF(I2="Mediathek") [reference to neighbor
cell]
==> But it rather shows IF(I#REF!="Mediathek") [reference is broken]

Actual Results:  
After moving the line 3 one up the reference to formerly I3 in conditional
formatting breaks and is replaced with I#REF

Expected Results:
After moving the line 3 one up the reference to formerly I3 in conditional
formatting is expected to be replaced with I2


Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I don't think it's specific to version 5.2.2.2 because I observed that behavior
with some previous versions, too (at least since major version 5).

Please try resetting the user profile, sometimes solves strange issues.

Usually it's enough renaming/deleting the file
"user/registrymodifications.xcu",  it affects all the options in
Menu/Tools/Options, and the files "user/basic/dialog.xlc" and "scrip.xlc" are
overwritten, additionally custom colors in "user/config/standard.soc" are lost.

I don't have SchuDruck1 font installed.

In Linux Mint 17, I configured SchuDruck1 to be replaced by "Standard Symbols
L" to get a similar effect as yours in Word 2010. But this replacement with
Cyrillic glyphs is not useful - people around here can't usually decipher them.
(I even did not expect anything else than whitespace to show up, see my
original bug summary.)
SchuDruck1 has latin glyphs, see the first example on
http://lehrerweb.wien/service/downloads/. This website of the city of Vienna
provides this proprietary font for all Viennese teachers.

I was filing this bug report under the assumption that the SchuDruck1 font was
embedded into the document, but erroneously not used.
If you can confirm that it isn't embedded, this bug can be resolved as NOTABUG.

With a SAL_USE_COMMON_LAYOUT present *AND* OpenGL rendering enabled the text is
not rendered visible to the UI.  It is present (I copied pasted the above).

With SAL_USE_COMMON_LAYOUT present *AND* default rendering (OpenGL unchecked)
the text is rendered visible to the UI--and no longer is fall-back to Segoe UI
system font! Yay!

Removing env variable, i.e. entering "set SAL_USE_COMMON_LAYOUT=" and
restarting LO restores both OpenGL rendering and default rendering of canvas
(including use of Segoe UI with default).

So I did some testing with old versions:

4.3.7, 4.4.3, 5.0.6 - Ctrl+Shift works with key-up (correct).
5.1.5, 5.1.6 - does not work at all.
5.2.2, master - works with key-down (wrong).

So would be interesting to find out both what broke it in 5.1, and what "fixed"
it in 5.2 the wrong way...

"The tooltip is just marginally too small to hold all of the text which
describes the item which the mouse is hovering over."

Screenshot with OpenGL enabled

Using the laster master build on Windows 7, OpenGL is enabled.

I typed this:
SET SAL_USE_COMMON_LAYOUT=1
soffice.exe --writer

LibreOffice looks like the attached image (there's already text typed in the
document that isn't showing, either).
Note that when I'm navigating through the menus, the menu texts briefly flash
up, and disappear again.
Also, looks fine if OpenGL is turned off.

I can't reproduce the issue with a pptx at hand in version 5.1.4.2 (5.1.6.2
will be released soon) and a daily build.

hmm.. i don't think, that my bug and this bug linked. In my bug shortcut simple
don't work in RU keyboard layout (by default on my computer). Even shortcut
"Ctrl + ," without key "Shift". And after switch keyboard layout to EN
(Ctrl+Shift), shortcuts work.

The problem is: i'm not able to open libre office any more: all my documents
are now closed to me and i'm not able to create any new documents.

How can I solve this problem?

Can everybody please install the latest master:
http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Win-x86@62-merge-TDF/current/

Then in the Windows command line:
SET SAL_USE_COMMON_LAYOUT=1

and in the same command line run the latest master build you installed
(type/copy the whole path to the soffice.exe)

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.

You can see issue in the code sections of attached document, an article
copy-pasted from CodeProject web-site. Character ":" sometimes draws in one
cell together with next letter character.

I too replaced Libreoffice 5.1.5.2 with 5.2.2.2 and rescanned with the same
version of windows defender and did not get a positive.  I also updated
defender to the next virus definition 1.231.50 and did not get any more
positives either.

At this point I think the only thing that can be concluded for sure is that
either 5.1.5.2 has a time delayed virus (my install has been on the computer
for about 2.5 weeks) which defender is correctly identifying or windows
defender is falsely reporting a positive. 

Too bad Microsoft does not allow us to update and then downgrade our virus
definitions.  if they did we could tell whether Libreoffice or Defender is the
cause.

A this point its all up to the developers at Libreoffice to test their 5.1.5.2
STILL installer and find out if there is something hiding in their or not.  It
would be a first if there is as I have been using this stuff for 5+ years with
no virus issues.

That is a bit odd. Bug 93761 was reported first, and this one was added later.
So this one is a duplicate of 93761.

Anyway, the problem still exists, and is very easy to describe. When installing
a new version of LibreOffice, the old version will be deinstalled. At the end
of this procedure the program directory will be deleted, but this will fail.
The program directory is left in a kind of locked state, it can not be deleted,
and it is not possible to write anything into it. Only a reboot will resolve
this problem, after the reboot the program directory is gone and it will be
possible to install the new version of LibreOffice.

Description:
In the steps exact produced a crash for libreoffice Write, loss all datas.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to "Insert" > "Frame" > "Frame..." , this appear the new window settings
2. In this window go to "Column" , set to 3 column and 0,1cm for spacing in
between columns. Press "OK/Accept"
3. Where put the frame in the page, press Ctrl+Z for undo the frame.

This crash all libreoffice write.

Actual Results:  
Not have solution.

Expected Results:
Undo the frame without problem


Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:


User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/49.0

I uninstalled LibreOffice 5.1.1.1 and installed 5.2.2.2. soffice.bin
seems to be the same because of the amount of bytes. But soffice.bin of
version 5.2.2.2 is not killed by Defender.

An older Version of LibreOffice, somewhat like 4.x.x.x also gets not
attacked by the Defender!

So it seems be a specific problem of Version 5.1.1.1
