https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105427 --- Comment #5 from andi--- sorry sirs, the question is not "more suitable" - no matter if chosen "curve" or "line" chart the resulting formula is wrong! - mathematical background: to approximate 3 given x/y points the resulting formula with second square polynom finds all these given points exactly!!! - the correct resulting formula for the 3 points (-2/4) (0/0) (2/4) would be y(x)=x² - the wrong trendline formula found by calc is: y(x) = 4x²-16x+16 - try with (0/0); does y(x)=4x²-16x+16 hit (0/0)? No! - does y(x)=x² hit (0/0) Yes! If I check the box, I also get an icon indicating a PDF annotation/comment, which can be viewed through my PDF viewer software; I suppose this is the expected behavior (aside from the fact that the comment is also rendered as above). What I'm trying to say is that the checkbox appears to work correctly as far as telling the PDF viewer to show an actual comment as a true annotation/comment, but some other aspect of the code is actually rendering the comment in the PDF exactly as it appears in the Calc document. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Insert a comment to a cell 2. Make sure the comment is visible in the spreadsheet by selecting Show comment if necessary 3. Go to File->Export as PDF 4. Like a connector, but without connecting anything. I need these arrows for sporting diagrams, arrows represent the trajectory of the ball or the movement of the players. Also I need an arrow with the wavy line style that I can move lengthen and shorten as a normal arrow with the style of a straight line, like the one I reported in the attached file. Save as MS Word XML 4. Close file 5. Open file and observe a new line after the text typed in the Comment box Sometimes there are three or four extra lines at the end (from multiple Save -> Close -> Open cycles?). https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105442 Bug ID: 105442 Summary: LibreOffice Application links pinned to Windows 10 Taskbar defective after LO updates, Links and Jumplists get lost Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Installation Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: t.b.mailingli...@igeno-fat.de Last affected Version to date: 5.2.4 In Windows 10 x64 (same with Windows 8/8.1) if I pin Writer/Calc/etc. to the Windows Taskbar the pinned icon collects last opened files as Jumplists. The users at my place are used to use these Jumplists with LibreOffice and other programs frequently. After an Update of LibreOffice, the former colered icons of Writer/Calc/etc. appear as white boxes in the taskbar. If you click on them, Windows reports that these links (= pinned icons) are not valid anymore and wants to remove them. After removing and manually re-pinning the apllication icons to the taskbar, the Jumplists are empty. The users at my place cry everytime what happened. So I have to consult everyone before every update because E-Mail Information is not enough because they often overlook these infos. I know there are 'last opend files' within the LO Menu, but the users always want to use the Jumplists. Expected behaviour: After minor updates AND major upgrades the pinned icons in Taskbar and Startmenu tiles should remain at their configured places. And the Jumplists with their contents in 'All Programs Startmenu', 'Startmenu Tiles' and 'Taskbar' should stay retained. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105441] New: styles don't resize shape with "resize shape to fit text "
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105441 Bug ID: 105441 Summary: styles don't resize shape with "resize shape to fit text" Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.3.0.1 rc Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Draw Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: chare...@gmail.com I actually tested this with version 5.3.0.2 [1]. [1]: http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/rpm/x86_64/LibreOffice_5.3.0.2_Linux_x86-64_rpm.tar.gz Bug #93135 fixed the "resize shape to fit text" property as it pertains to the **Format > Text...** menu item. However, when enabling the same property on a style, the size of the shape remains unaffected under two scenarios: 1. when "resize shape to fit text" is enabled in the style and then applied to the shape, and 2. when the style is applied to the shape and then "resize shape to fit text" is enabled in the style. The fubar nature of styles becomes more apparent when working with files saved in libreoffice 5.2.x, so I'm restricting the steps for reproduction to new files only. A patch against the steps provided may not affect Draw documents created prior to the patch, and users may need to start a new document. === Steps to Reproduce (enable resize then apply style) 1. Open LibreOffice Draw 2. Start with a new document. 3. Draw a square on the page. 4. Add text to the square, e.g. "Hello world". 5. Open "Styles and Formatting" sidebar. 6. Right click on "Default" style and create New style named "Test". 7. In Style Editor, select "Text" tab, then... a) Enable "Resize shape to fit text" b) Enable "Fit width to text" c) Click "OK" 8. In "Styles and Formatting" sidebar... a) Select "Test" style b) Click the "Apply" bucket icon at the top (selecting this tool appears to be broken, you may have to select a shape on the page before you can use the tool). 9. Click on the square on the page to apply the "Test" style to the square. 10. Observe that the shape does not resize around the text: a) immediately after applying the text, or b) after editing the text, or c) after resizing the shape manually. === Steps to Reproduce (apply style then enable resize) 1. Open LibreOffice Draw 2. Start with a new document. 3. Draw a square on the page. 4. Add text to the square, e.g. "Hello world". 5. Open "Styles and Formatting" sidebar. 6. Right click on "Default" style and create New style named "Test", and close the Style Editor Dialog. 7. In "Styles and Formatting" sidebar... a) Select "Test" style b) Click the "Apply" bucket icon at the top (selecting this tool appears to be broken, you may have to select a shape on the page before you can use the tool). 8. Click on the square on the page to apply the "Test" style to the square. 9. Right click the "Test" style in the "Styles and Formatting" sidebar and select "Modify..." to open Style Editor Dialog. 10. In Style Editor Dialog, select the "Text" tab, then... a) Enable "Resize shape to fit text" b) Enable "Fit width to text" c) Click "OK" 11. Observe that the shape does not resize around the text: a) immediately after saving the style, or b) after editing the text, or c) after resizing the shape manually. === About Info Version: 5.3.0.2 Build ID: 5ad7b2889021c491af62f7930a4b1cb631392f16 CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Linux 4.8; UI Render: default; VCL: gtk2; Layout Engine: new; Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: group === Additional notes - In some tests, I noticed that applying the "Test" style after enabling "resize shape to fit text" might update the height of the shape, but not the width, though I could not identify any steps from scratch that reproduced this behavior. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104130 --- Comment #5 from V Stuart Foote--- Those are not descriptions, rather they are ODF compliant names for the style exposed to the UI. Believe it is correct to retain the naming of the style in the drop list, as opening the more options Line dialog exposes the Line Styles and Arrow Styles elements in the ODF.
