I finally got to testing, using
http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Win-x86@42/current/ with build
from 9 February.
The problem cannot be tested easily with a dev-build as the installation is not
'registered'. I could not open documents in Windows Explorer with
LibreOfficeDev.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105872] New: Calc display is shifted to next cell when using calibri font

2017-02-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon

  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice

  Reporter: o...@okakurniawan.net

Calc cell is not displayed properly when using Calibri, and currency format.
See screenshot at this link: https://screencast.com/t/dDIam59OK

To re-produce:
1. Create a new calc document.
2. Type 0 on a cell, and right click, choose, "Format Cell".
3. Choose currency, and paste the following format:
_($* #,##0.00_);_($* (#,##0.00);_($* -??_);_(@_)

4. Click "Left Justified" button
5. Change font to Calibri, 11 pt.

The cell is shifted to the left if left justified is turned off. Please see:
https://screencast.com/t/XjqCFRcH45KO

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105871] New: Save and Quit crash

2017-02-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105871

Bug ID: 105871
   Summary: Save and Quit crash
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.3.0.3 release
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mk...@dorkypantsr.us

This is happening on macOS 10.12.3 with all available Software Updates applied,
lots of free RAM and free disk space.

When 2 or more Calc windows are open and one or more have changes, quitting
Libreoffice results in a dialog saying that Libreoffice crashed and asking if
document recovery should be attempted. However, at this point the app is hung
(spinning blue ball of death) and does not respond to clicks on the dialog, and
must be force quit from the Dock. On subsequent launch, it asks again to
attempt document recovery and successfully completes if asked to do so.

In contrast, if the Calc windows are closed so that only 1 (whether or not it
needs to save changes to disk) or zero windows are left before quitting, there
is no problem quitting.

Unknown if this affects other modules such as Write, Draw, etc., as I use
LibreOffice almost exclusively for Calc.

Yes where a number of problems with the heikobar that i wasnt able to overcome,
and no devs offered any assistance like

1. Group button with a label - check insert table
2. Button without a label - check increase font size (used a ' ' label as a
workaround)
3. Uno commands in newly created group dropdown buttons - check the style drop
down

So please do make any changes that will make it work and look better.

Xisco, I don't get the bug up till 3.6.0.4, and get it in 4.0.0.3.
If you select DEF, and use Paintbrush tool on ABC, the formatting doesn't get
copied in newer releases.

Additionally, bug 104920 appears to be a duplicate.

Description:
The start and end buttons in navigator do the wrong thing.
The start button should go to top left corner of the current data range and the

Steps to Reproduce:
1. make a new spreadsheet
2. enter this:
   B2: a
   C3: b
3. go to C2
4. click on start button in navigator. It should go to B2 but goes to A1.
5. go to C2
6. click on end button in navigator. It should go to C3 but goes to A1.
7. select E4:F5
8. go to C2
9. click on start button in navigator. It should go to B2 but goes to E4.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105271] Sideways page display jump & window flash with every character typed under dual window condition

2017-02-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105271

FYI: Still working the video. Have been through 5 open source video editors
attempting one that A) has basic features for title card & freeze frame, and B)
does not crash long enough to get something complete. Filed bugs on many of
them. Going down rev on Openshot may get me there.

Doing the QA admin for clear duplicates we generally will use the earliest
instance.

Here though, the PDF export and the OpengGL rendering are crossing paths. This
initially was about the mishandling for PDF export--but the root cause in the
VCL source will most likely be the same. The newer bug in this instance was
more on point, the "bilevel" PNG having been split from other image handling
issues.

Either way--thank you for contributing.

Version: 5.2.5.1

In my case I would not say it flickers "with each pixel the mouse pointer is

Hi m.a.riosv

Thanks for your comment, although I am not sure I understand what you are
saying.

If this is not a bug, could you please explain each of the cases that are
highlighted in orange in the example spreadsheet? (rows 2, 6, 7 and 10)
They are very unintuitive results. I am particularly interested in what you
think of rows 6 and 7 as they don't even result in a multiple of 2.

When you say "you can put =SUMIF(A2:A5; "yes"; B2) and it works fine", do you
mean that the sum_range "B2" is interpreted as "B2:B5"? (In which case, the
result "4" would make sense)

Or do you mean that it is useless to define the end of the range for sum_range,
and that inputting e.g. "B2:B5" would result in "B5" being completely ignored?
If that is the case, again, it is a very unintuitive behaviour, and it would
not explain the result "4".

Anyway, neither of those explanations would explain the bulk of the cases
presented in the attached spreadsheet.

I am switching it back to unconfirmed as I expect more input from the
community, and I don't think your comment explains the behaviour. But I could
be missing something obvious...?

Might be the same cause, but the problem exists on the first opening of the
style dialogue. Also, the time waiting is considerably more than 2 secs.

On Win 10, LO 5.3.0.3 (64 bit) is consistently taking >45 seconds for the
dialogue box to open, whether to modify or create a new style. It makes working
with styles, if not impossible, exceedingly frustrating. Can the importance of
this be raised? It's major for me.

There is not such bug, SUMIF doesn't take in account the end of the range to
sume, in fact you can put =SUMIF(A2:A5; "yes"; B2) and it works fine. That I
think it's not compatible with other programs.

But it is not the same for other conditional functions they must have the same
range's length.

Attached should be a screen shot of the bugs in action: this is fresh install

This is the identical problem presented with v5.3.0.3 when running under KDE

javaldx: Could not find a Java Runtime Environment!
Warning: failed to read path from javaldx

 I18N: Operating system doesn't support locale "en_US"

dpkg reports that "javaldx" is NOT installed. I am also unable to find it to
complete the install.Disabling the Java/Runtime option in Advanced
configurations does not seem to resolve the bug.

Regarding launch in safe-mode, there is no such option available via the Help
menu. Furthermore, the "--safe-mode" option noted in the online help for LO is
not recognized by the system. Thus, I am not successful in testing under "safe

What were the steps you followed? I inserted it in a document, then exported
the document to PDF, but the image looked the same (LO 5.3.0.3 / Windows 7).
Maybe you did something differently?

2017-02-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105868

Bug ID: 105868
Summary: Corrupted storage of Document in Word DOC Format
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.3.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: filters and storage
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: kim.mon...@googlemail.com

Created attachment 131022
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=131022=edit
Corrupted Doc File

Document is corrupted when storing in Microsoft Word (DOC) Format. This is
critical because this is often used to exchange documents. Error happens in
5.3.0.3 and in 5.2.5. Attaching document in odt and doc format. Hmm, can only
add 1 attachment.

Did you try to compress the images?

You can do this by selecting the image and clicking it with the second mouse
button. In the contextual menu you will see the option "compress".
You can also do this from the menu "Format | Image | Compress".

If you use high resolution image and you have not properly configured the
memory in LibreOffice options you may have this kind of problems.

Anyway it should be more intuitive, as apparently other office suits do it
automatically (perhaps with the consequence of using more resources)

Please be more specific about "not working".

If it is an issue of poorly implemented metrics and missing OpenType tables,
that should be expected. The fonts can be repaired, but broken fonts are not
going to be supported.

Ideally provide a link for others to review the fonts.

Having said I can live with it, I just tried it on my real-life form and it
does make life difficult. My lists are really rather long (sometimes hundreds
of entries).

If it can't be fixed moderately soon (within a month or 2) in a pre-release
I'll need to redesign the form with much bigger boxes.

I'm happy to test a dev (non-ubuntu) version.

 CC||momonas...@gmail.com,

The problem is that the Notebookbar uses some plain buttons (represented as
GtkButton in .ui files) instead of a real toolbar buttons (via
sfxlo-SidebarToolBox/sfxlo-NotebookbarToolBox), so the dropdown functionality
is missing. Instead there are some menus defined directly in the .ui files, but
they are not backed by any code.

I have a patch that makes those .ui dropdown menus work, but I wonder whether
those GtkButton really meant to be used for the long-term, or maybe there are
plans to eventually convert them to
sfxlo-SidebarToolBox/sfxlo-NotebookbarToolBox/sfxlo-BigToolBox/whatever else
(in which case I shouldn't waste my time on fixing them)?

Heiko/Jay: Hi, can you clarify the situation please?

The missing sheets between the before and after attachments were deliberately
deleted. I also added a sheet between these versions. No sheets were lost,
only the data in the sheets disappeared.

don't belong to this set. I'd suggest to replace

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105865] New: Lost Data and Formulas in several sheets of an open ods spreadsheet

2017-02-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105865

Bug ID: 105865
Summary: Lost Data and Formulas in several sheets of an open
ods spreadsheet
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.4.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: cwon...@ieee.org

Description:
I was working on a five sheet spreadsheet, exporting financial data from
gnucash into html reports. I then opened the reports in calc and copy and
pasted them into a single spreadsheet for formatting, and some additional
comparisons and analysis, not possible in gnucash. The source of the data is
likely irrelevant.

As I as formatting the data, I had exported the completed result as PDF, and I
was fixing some borders, and backgrounds to make it pretty. A few of the
changes to borders seemed to be ineffective in applyinh (making thicker lines),
so I skipped that and moved to a new sheet. On the new sheet I added some
conditional formatting. Everything looked perfect, and I exported to pdf
again, overwriting my previous export. Then I got only one sheet. I went back
to the other sheets to see why they did not export and they had nothing in
them. I clicked undo many times to see if I had accidentally done something,
but all of my formatting changes (borders and backgrounds) were undone, while
none of the data or formulas came back. The file was 35 kB instead of 80 kB. I
found a backup of the file from my nightly backup and restored it. I am about
to redo the work. Lost data in a spreadsheet is a very serious bug, so I think
it essential to report this. I found some other similar complaints in some
forums, but cannot find a similar bug report. This was all native Linux, and
Libreoffice files. No interaction with proprietary file formats.

Steps to Reproduce:
No action seemed to relate to the data loss.
1.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Several sheets of the spreadsheet lost all data, and formulas, but not
formatting.

Expected Results:
All data remains unchanged.

Reproducible: Didn't try

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
This is a charity financial report which will be posted publicly when it is
completed, so I will attach the file before and after corruption. Note that
the problem occurred during a single session. The file was not closed and
reopened.

Saving to a new name, closing and reopening, made no difference.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 61242] Customise comments background color in Writer

2017-02-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61242

I have experimented with this a bit. Comment colors appear to be assigned to
users from a list of several colors. Does anyone know where that list is kept?

The colors are not assigned to a user name with any regard for the actual
letters of that name. Rather they are assigned in an order that depends upon
whether any other User name has been associated with that color during the
current session.

With a fresh start of Writer, the color assigned to the current User name will
always be yellow, even if that User name had in an earlier session been
associated with a different color.

If you already have a yellow note in any document that has been opened in the
current Writer session, and you change the User to a new name, and enter a
comment, the background of that comment will be blue.

If you change to another different User, a new color will be assigned to that
new User. (I have reached seven different colors in this list; there may be
more.)

If you use the second User name as your usual name, then if you open a new
document under that name, the color will still be blue for your comments. This
is true even if the first document is closed before you create the second
document.

However, if you close Libreoffice Writer and restart it, you will find that
whatever you have set the User name to, that name will be associated with
yellow in every document you open or create using that name during the current
session.

This means that you cannot fool the system into assigning your usual user blue
by default in all circumstances.

Here are two workarounds that will avoid the colors of old documents being
changed from blue to yellow for subsequent Writer sessions:

1. In a new session, before opening any document, use Tools | Options to set
the author to Dummy Name.
2. Create a dummy document.
3. Add a note. This note will be yellow and assigned to Dummy Name.
4. Now open an existing document with Your Name assigned to blue. All of the
Your Name notes will now be blue. Or create a new document and enter a note; it
will be blue.
5. Change the author back to Your Name. All subsequent notes will be blue, the
second color in the hierarchy.

Clearly, this is a pain, but it illustrates what is going on:

If the current session of Writer has no comments associated with the current
User name, it will use yellow, when that user creates a comment.

If at any time during a session of Writer, it discovers a different color
associated with that User name, it will use that color for that User.

Such a previous association between a User name and a color may be either in
the current document or in another document—whether or not that other document
is still open, so long as the current Writer session has not been closed.

So, if I want to associate all of my comments with blue rather than yellow, I
have two choices:

1. At the start of any Writer session open a document that already has yellow
associated with some other User name, (be sure that Your Name has been selected
as the User name), or

2. Before you begin writing/editing create a new document with the User "Dummy
Name", create a bogus note, and then open or create the document I want to
write/edit. Change the User name back to My Name. Then when I create a note in
a new or existing document, it will be blue.

My apologies if this is hard to follow. It is hard for me to explain clearly.
Surely the principles involve can be stated more succinctly. I just haven't
found how to do it.

If I knew where Libreoffice stored the color hierarchy for notes, I could alter
it to put blue in place of yellow, and my problem would be solved.

Have done all this. First I have excluded macros, then for a second test
included macros. No difference. I have
saved the form,
wanted to close the document,
have been asked, if I want to save the changed contend
save
closed - without problem.
Note: If I do the same with a table I got a hang - see bug 105759.

Did you try this with a new user-profile?

LO does store elements like this:

http://example.com/; xlink:type="simple"
xlink:show="embed" xlink:actuate="onRequest"/>

but doesn't load them if the image is a SVG; if it's a JPEG
then the events load fine.

that started with LO 4.0, which introduced the new SVG import filter.

... the problem is that the SVG actually has 2 draw:image inside a draw:frame,
on import the event stuff is stored on the PNG fall-back object and then
that is deleted by MultiImageImportHelper::solveMultipleImages
because the SVG is better.

... the relaxng for draw frame is:

... so its children are ordered, we know at which point we
have all variant main content elements, and can choose which
one to pick *before* applying the various properties in the optional
child elements.

the import calls solveMultipleImages too late currently.

fixed on master.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105863

Bug ID: 105863
Summary: Flicker when hovering over main menu with default

  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu

Not sure if there's a duplicate, bug 103977 is about menu items, and only

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105845] Edit form, save it. Quit Base without initial explicit save - hangs and crashes.

2017-02-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon

--- Comment #5 from t...@tim-passingham.co.uk ---
Strange.

Let me just restate the actions need to cause this problem on my Ubuntu and
Windows systems, in case I wasn't crystal clear.

Open the database.
Open form table1 for edit and edit something (eg the size of a field).
Save form table1.
Close form table1.
Then 'File', 'Exit' and when prompted 'Save'

Hangs. I have to force close Base.

Good news first, it's not worse than before.

The input fields are unusual small now and the button is hanging around
(perhaps anchor it to the right). But without any good suggestion I vote +0.25
for your patch.

(Issue with current situation is that these separators never grow to 20
characters to make that large input fields necessary. It just looks
ridiculous.)

Hm... in this case the settings are stored with the document (havent checked
this). Take my advice as what I would understand as the general rule.
