[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49134] On opening a password-protected file, the LibreOffice window is not raised/given focus
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49134 --- Comment #19 from Winfried Donkers--- (In reply to Buovjaga from comment #17) > There was a fix to a related bug, maybe you could test: > http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Win-x86@42/current/ I finally got to testing, using http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Win-x86@42/current/ with build from 9 February. The problem cannot be tested easily with a dev-build as the installation is not 'registered'. I could not open documents in Windows Explorer with LibreOfficeDev. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105871] New: Save and Quit crash
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105871 Bug ID: 105871 Summary: Save and Quit crash Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.3.0.3 release Hardware: x86 (IA32) OS: Mac OS X (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: mk...@dorkypantsr.us This is happening on macOS 10.12.3 with all available Software Updates applied, lots of free RAM and free disk space. When 2 or more Calc windows are open and one or more have changes, quitting Libreoffice results in a dialog saying that Libreoffice crashed and asking if document recovery should be attempted. However, at this point the app is hung (spinning blue ball of death) and does not respond to clicks on the dialog, and must be force quit from the Dock. On subsequent launch, it asks again to attempt document recovery and successfully completes if asked to do so. In contrast, if the Calc windows are closed so that only 1 (whether or not it needs to save changes to disk) or zero windows are left before quitting, there is no problem quitting. Unknown if this affects other modules such as Write, Draw, etc., as I use LibreOffice almost exclusively for Calc. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Doing the QA admin for clear duplicates we generally will use the earliest instance. Here though, the PDF export and the OpengGL rendering are crossing paths. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105847] SUMIF function gives unexpected / wrong results with custom ranges
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105847 straguchanged: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|UNCONFIRMED Resolution|NOTABUG |--- --- Comment #3 from stragu --- Hi m.a.riosv Thanks for your comment, although I am not sure I understand what you are saying. If this is not a bug, could you please explain each of the cases that are highlighted in orange in the example spreadsheet? (rows 2, 6, 7 and 10) They are very unintuitive results. I am particularly interested in what you think of rows 6 and 7 as they don't even result in a multiple of 2. When you say "you can put =SUMIF(A2:A5; "yes"; B2) and it works fine", do you mean that the sum_range "B2" is interpreted as "B2:B5"? (In which case, the result "4" would make sense) Or do you mean that it is useless to define the end of the range for sum_range, and that inputting e.g. "B2:B5" would result in "B5" being completely ignored? If that is the case, again, it is a very unintuitive behaviour, and it would not explain the result "4". Anyway, neither of those explanations would explain the bulk of the cases presented in the attached spreadsheet. I am switching it back to unconfirmed as I expect more input from the community, and I don't think your comment explains the behaviour. But I could be missing something obvious...? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105672] UI: On calc, Toolbar Layout - Notebookbar - Contextual groups. Some dropdown button and others doesn 't work.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105672 Maxim Monastirskychanged: What|Removed |Added CC||momonas...@gmail.com, ||philip...@hotmail.com, ||tietze.he...@gmail.com --- Comment #11 from Maxim Monastirsky --- The problem is that the Notebookbar uses some plain buttons (represented as GtkButton in .ui files) instead of a real toolbar buttons (via sfxlo-SidebarToolBox/sfxlo-NotebookbarToolBox), so the dropdown functionality is missing. Instead there are some menus defined directly in the .ui files, but they are not backed by any code. I have a patch that makes those .ui dropdown menus work, but I wonder whether those GtkButton really meant to be used for the long-term, or maybe there are plans to eventually convert them to sfxlo-SidebarToolBox/sfxlo-NotebookbarToolBox/sfxlo-BigToolBox/whatever else (in which case I shouldn't waste my time on fixing them)? [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105865] New: Lost Data and Formulas in several sheets of an open ods spreadsheet
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105865 Bug ID: 105865 Summary: Lost Data and Formulas in several sheets of an open ods spreadsheet Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.1.4.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: cwon...@ieee.org Description: I was working on a five sheet spreadsheet, exporting financial data from gnucash into html reports. I then opened the reports in calc and copy and pasted them into a single spreadsheet for formatting, and some additional comparisons and analysis, not possible in gnucash. The source of the data is likely irrelevant. As I as formatting the data, I had exported the completed result as PDF, and I was fixing some borders, and backgrounds to make it pretty. A few of the changes to borders seemed to be ineffective in applyinh (making thicker lines), so I skipped that and moved to a new sheet. On the new sheet I added some conditional formatting. Everything looked perfect, and I exported to pdf again, overwriting my previous export. Then I got only one sheet. I went back to the other sheets to see why they did not export and they had nothing in them. I clicked undo many times to see if I had accidentally done something, but all of my formatting changes (borders and backgrounds) were undone, while none of the data or formulas came back. The file was 35 kB instead of 80 kB. I found a backup of the file from my nightly backup and restored it. I am about to redo the work. Lost data in a spreadsheet is a very serious bug, so I think it essential to report this. I found some other similar complaints in some forums, but cannot find a similar bug report. This was all native Linux, and Libreoffice files. No interaction with proprietary file formats. Steps to Reproduce: No action seemed to relate to the data loss. 1. 2. 3. Actual Results: Several sheets of the spreadsheet lost all data, and formulas, but not formatting. Expected Results: All data remains unchanged. Reproducible: Didn't try User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: This is a charity financial report which will be posted publicly when it is completed, so I will attach the file before and after corruption. Note that the problem occurred during a single session. The file was not closed and reopened. Saving to a new name, closing and reopening, made no difference. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 61242] Customise comments background color in Writer
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61242 --- Comment #10 from Stan Armstrong--- I have experimented with this a bit. Comment colors appear to be assigned to users from a list of several colors. Does anyone know where that list is kept? The colors are not assigned to a user name with any regard for the actual letters of that name. Rather they are assigned in an order that depends upon whether any other User name has been associated with that color during the current session. With a fresh start of Writer, the color assigned to the current User name will always be yellow, even if that User name had in an earlier session been associated with a different color. If you already have a yellow note in any document that has been opened in the current Writer session, and you change the User to a new name, and enter a comment, the background of that comment will be blue. If you change to another different User, a new color will be assigned to that new User. (I have reached seven different colors in this list; there may be more.) If you use the second User name as your usual name, then if you open a new document under that name, the color will still be blue for your comments. This is true even if the first document is closed before you create the second document. However, if you close Libreoffice Writer and restart it, you will find that whatever you have set the User name to, that name will be associated with yellow in every document you open or create using that name during the current session. This means that you cannot fool the system into assigning your usual user blue by default in all circumstances. Here are two workarounds that will avoid the colors of old documents being changed from blue to yellow for subsequent Writer sessions: 1. In a new session, before opening any document, use Tools | Options to set the author to Dummy Name. 2. Create a dummy document. 3. Add a note. This note will be yellow and assigned to Dummy Name. 4. Now open an existing document with Your Name assigned to blue. All of the Your Name notes will now be blue. Or create a new document and enter a note; it will be blue. 5. Change the author back to Your Name. All subsequent notes will be blue, the second color in the hierarchy. Clearly, this is a pain, but it illustrates what is going on: If the current session of Writer has no comments associated with the current User name, it will use yellow, when that user creates a comment. If at any time during a session of Writer, it discovers a different color associated with that User name, it will use that color for that User. Such a previous association between a User name and a color may be either in the current document or in another document—whether or not that other document is still open, so long as the current Writer session has not been closed. So, if I want to associate all of my comments with blue rather than yellow, I have two choices: 1. At the start of any Writer session open a document that already has yellow associated with some other User name, (be sure that Your Name has been selected as the User name), or 2. Before you begin writing/editing create a new document with the User "Dummy Name", create a bogus note, and then open or create the document I want to write/edit. Change the User name back to My Name. Then when I create a note in a new or existing document, it will be blue. My apologies if this is hard to follow. It is hard for me to explain clearly. Surely the principles involve can be stated more succinctly. I just haven't found how to do it. If I knew where Libreoffice stored the color hierarchy for notes, I could alter it to put blue in place of yellow, and my problem would be solved. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
