--- Comment #9 from fiftyigfuci_f...@yahoo.co.jp ---
For me, It seems like the cause is the generation of a huge bitmap image of the
column to store the image into clipboard.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106504] Unable to edit this spreadsheet

I am trying to edit the domain suffix in cell A193, which is a function I would
normally expect to be allowed. This spreadsheet has been saved on OneDrive for
a few years probably more than ten years, I had used the save as function under
the file menu to change the format.

I hope this does not invite more hacking attempts on my computer.

Summary: Unable to edit this spreadsheet
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.5.1 release
  Hardware: All

I suspect this might have been tampered with, as a few months ago I encountered
a malicious program written in JavaScript.

Bibisect points to the first commit referenced below. Most of it is debug code,
so it's probably the pass-by-value parameter of lcl_DebugMarks?
Additionally, it's fixed in master by the second commit below (verified using
repo bibisect-win-5.4).
Adding Cc: to Michael Stahl, please backport the fixing commit.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 58944] FILEOPEN particular .docx wrongly shows lots of table heading rows to be repeated.

2017-03-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58944

Extract the document.xml from the test document, examine the file we can see
that for all the rows were set, this matches description of
Comment 9 of issue 88496, quoted below:

"What WORD seems to do in the same situation: as soon as recognise that the
headers line dose not fit on the page portion reserved for table, it consider
the table as with-no-header, even if in the definition this stays in place.

This rise a big problem: in WORD => v.2007 for the user is very easy to define
a table with, say, 50 rows all in the header (just select full table and click
one button on the ribbon). WORD will disregard this config and render the table
as with no header at all.
Pass this DOC at WRITER: table render will disrupt."

Either this issue depends on 88496 or one of them is duplicate.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106503] New: Text Position in Writer And Calc Shapes is Buggy

2017-03-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106503

Bug ID: 106503
Summary: Text Position in Writer And Calc Shapes is Buggy
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: lukebe...@hotmail.com

In recent versions of the Writer and Calc, the text in a shape has changed from
centered to middle-left. The UI does not match this new setting. It's also
inconsistent, as the text is centered in Draw and Impress.

Steps to Reproduce:

In a recent build of LibreOffice 5.4
1. Insert Shape->Basic-> Rectangle or Ellipse
2. Type some text

Expected Result:

Text is centered

Actual Results:

Text is middle-left aligned.

If you go to
Format -> Text Box -> Text Attribute -> Text Anchor

The UI shows centered. This is wrong. If you change it, Hit OK, Go back and
change it to centered the text will move to the center position where it
belongs.

A minimal fix to this bug is to make the UI match the positioning. A better fix
would be change the default text position to centered like it is in earlier
versions of LibreOffice such as 4.4.

Usually it's enough renaming/deleting the file
"user/registrymodifications.xcu", it affects all the options in

overwritten, additionally custom colors in "user/config/standard.soc" are lost.

2017-03-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 106502
Summary: VIEWING: Zooming in Page Preview goes to the first
page, not where cursor is
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: Inherited From OOo
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: thomas.le...@gmail.com

When you have several pages, zooming in Page Preview goes to the first page or
first page in a pages row and not to the page where the cursor actually is.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open the attached documents or open another Writer document with several
pages.
2. Go to Page Preview.
3. Select some pages in rows and columns (e.g. "3 x 3 Pages").
4. Move the cursor to a page on the right of Page Preview area - regardless of
whether it's in the first row or in a row below.
5. Zoom in with CTRL + mouse wheel.

Actual result:

The Page preview view goes to the first page or the first page in a row below
instead of the page on the right.

Expected result:

The Page Preview view should respect the cursor position because that is the
center of where I want to zoom in. This is useful for example if you have a
multi-page document and you want check some content on a page and then at
another page and so on. This zooming behavior is well known from image
manipulation programs, AutoCAD, etc.

To be more precise:
- on libreoffice-5.2.1.2, I am still able to reproduce this bug
- on libreoffice-5.2.5.1, I can't reproduce this bug

So, I think we can consider this bug as resolved.
The solution is to upgrade LO.

Also, one thing I should mention is that this bug can only be reproduced if I
am using the gtk3 front-end:
$ export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3
So, if I want to keep my old 5.2.1.2 version but don't want to encounter this
bug, I can use the gtk (gtk2) front end:
$ export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk

Regrettably, a saved file example will not show the bug, because the editing
process destroys the presence of the (0x09 tab). The following detailed
process easily and repeatably shows the editing bug.

1.) Start LibreOffice Calc from Windows Start menu icon
-- Calc shows initial, blank, new unnamed spreadsheet
-- Allow cells to remain in default formatting
2.) Select Calc spreadsheet cell A1 and enter some text
   -- Enter "ABCD"
2.) Start a plain text editor like MSFT Notepad
   -- Enter in text "abcdef"
-- where is 0x09 an ASCII horizonal tab ^I
-- Visual effect of tab between 'c' and 'd' clearly visible
  -- multi-width whitespace shown between 'c' and 'd' verifies
 entry
-- Select and [Ctrl]+C (copy) the within the text (1 char)
3.) Again, select Calc spreadsheet cell A1

This is an old bug from OOo times, first reported in 2004 and it still exists
in LibO 5.3.0.3.

I think Stefan Baltzer made good suggestions in comment 2 of the OOo issue. I
will quote his 4 points - personally I would prefer no. 4 which wouldn't
require a UI change:

--
(1) Introducing a "break" button in the spellcheck dialog.

(2) Yet-another-option for the spellchecker: "Place the cursor where the
spellchecker was closed".

(3) Change behavior (no UI change): When the user clicks "Undo" and "Close",
only THEN the cursor goes to the last position where a change took place.

(4) Change behavior (no UI change): When the user clicks beside the spellcheck
dialog and then closes it, the cursor stays there (currently it is jumping back
to where spellcheck was started).

This is a Writer specific issue. In Draw, Impress, and Calc the text will
rotate with the shape. The "TextBox" shape does rotate in writer, but all other

2017-03-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 106499
Summary: When saving document to desktop or a folder the icon

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.3.0.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org

A picture of a saved doc with folders and another doc as reference to size.

I just downloaded version 5.3.0.3 and absolutely love it. There is one thing
that does occur that I don't care for is that when I save a document to either
the desktop or to a folder, the icon for the document is huge. It's at least 2
1/2 inches long by 2 inches wide. When I try to resize it the icon comes down
just a little but is still huge.

Is there a fix for this?

Bill W.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106498] New: incorrect drawing of vertical bars in abs{x}

2017-03-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106498

Bug ID: 106498
   Summary: incorrect drawing of vertical bars in abs{x}
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.3.1.2 rc
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: Formula Editor
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: atzem...@gmail.com

Created attachment 131816
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=131816=edit
example of different display of abs{x} in 5.2.5 vs. 5.3

Before version 5.3, the equation editor always worked fine for me. With 5.3,
however, it seems any formula containing abs{x} (and possibly other
expressions) is displayed incorrectly. From what I see, it would appear that
only the upper parts of the vertical lines are drawn, or that the lines have
moved up. Saving a file with an equation containing abs{x} in 5.3 and then
opening the file in an earlier version results in the exact same incorrect
representation. However, opening the equation with abs{x} with the equation
editor of the earlier version fixes the problem. Likewise, a file with abs{x}
created in an earlier version of LO displays correctly in 5.3 until the
equation with abs{x} is opened with the equation editor of version 5.3, after
which abs{x} is displayed incorrectly again.

Confirmed.

Btw., I tried this with your document: check "Allow table.." again, uncheck
"Allow row", uncheck "Allow table.." again. Result: 1., 2. and 3. are on page
1. On page 2 the table flows beyond the page area, disappearing.

Heiko, just IMHO: The LibreOffice vision is "Simple for beginners and powerful
for experts". Therefore it's a pity that palettes only can be shared with
extensions from now. I hope you don't copy the Mozilla desease to cut special
features step by step, unifying it by something more complicated or less
powerful. Because special users are the most faithful one for projects like
LibreOffice. (Learning making extensions is an additional effort only for
bringing e.g. a company color palette to other users.)

Sure, I'm using Arch Linux 4.9.11-1-ARCH, but would this have any effect? Are

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106496] New: The document in Writer is jumping left and right in optimal view and mirrored pages format

2017-03-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106496

Bug ID: 106496
Summary: The document in Writer is jumping left and right in
optimal view and mirrored pages format
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.6.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: k...@mail.orbitel.bg

I am using some technical documents where pages are formatted as mirrored.
Also in order to make possible to read more than one document while creating my
document I need to keep the LibreOffice window small in order to see both
documents together.
In this case I use the View → Zoom → Optimal View.

Unfortunately in such case the document is jumping left and right in the Writer
window, depend of the paragraphs I am working with.

Also by scrolling the multi page documents right pages are visualized normally
but the left pages are visualized wrongly - some part of the text on the left
part of the pages is not visible.

This can be changed manually but after every right page the left page is
presented the same wrong way.
This way working with LibreOffice Writer with such documents soon becomes very
boring and very uncomfortable.

This bug is available in most past versions of LibreOffice including the
current 5.2.6

Please possibly correct this behaviour because working with such documents is
very difficult with LibreOffice Writer.

I have created a screen cast movie showing this behaviour but it is 29.2 MiB
hence it is not possible to attach it here.

Libre Office 5.2.2.2
OS details 10.0.14393
Build Architecture x86 (So 32-bit Windows 10)
OpenGL disabled
Intel GPU 0x191b (So HD Graphics 530 on an i7 Skylake CPU)
OpenGLDriver 21.20.16.4534 (15.45.xx -- 6 Oct 2016; latest is .4590 -- 3 Feb

Except that we need OP's input describing:

1. STR (what were you doing and can you repeat it so we can try?)
2. was there a specific slide or transition causing this? Helpful to provide a
sample document...
3. effect of enabling OpenGL rendering?
4. effect of disabling Hardware acceleration?
5. does update of the Intel 15.45 driver to the current .4590 build [2]

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106487] cell colors dissappear while editting formula

Created attachment 131813
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=131813=edit
file to demonstrate the bug

I have attached a file to demonstrate the bug.

For those wanting to try this out, it is probably much simpler to reproduce the
bug in an empty document than by downloading the file: the file is empty except
for a formula in the A1 cell which reads "=A2" (unquoted, of course). Upon
editing the formula, adding any character to it will remove the color from the
A2 reference.
