Just to clarify: +F10 or +dblclick neither work under
Wayland. I believe that the whole point of disabling toggling of the floating
mode under Wayland (in the commit I referenced in Bug 113330 comment 4) was
that people won't know how to dock it back, as the kb shortcuts aren't
discoverable.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 113429] New: Paste special, Text only, still pastes formatting of cells with different colors within

2017-10-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113429

Bug ID: 113429
Summary: Paste special, Text only, still pastes formatting of
cells with different colors within
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ddascalescu+freedesk...@gmail.com

Description:
I expect that pasting special, Text only, would only paste the text, without
ANY formatting. However, if I copy to the clipboard a cell that has one word
colored red, that formatting will be pasted even if "Formats" is unchecked in
the Paste Special dialog.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached file
2. Copy cell A1
3. Paste Special into a new file, checking only "Text" (make sure "Formats" is
unchecked)

Actual Results:
The colored word is pasted

Expected Results:
Only the text should be pasted, without any formatting

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 113418] scrolling vertical tab bar instead of horizontal multi-tab dialogs

Tools -> Options is already in a vertical format. While File -> Properties is
of the objectionable type.

But there are dialogs like Character, Paragraph, Page, Area that are by design
functional with horizontal tabs.

There is something to be said for consistency--but maybe just too much layout
rework (and user grief) for too little gain.

This is an screenshot of the Table of Contents, Index or Bibliography window,
to prove there is nowhere the Hyperlink option to assign Hyperlink to entries

Hi, I just installed the 5.4.2.2 64 bit version, the main thing is that There
is no way to Assign Hyperlinks to Entries in a Summary, I just follow the
instructions from here:

https://help.libreoffice.org/Writer/Formatting_an_Index_or_a_Table_of_Contents

But in my installation there is nowhere the Hyperlink option in the Structure
an formating area of the entries tab from the Table of Contents, Index or
Bibliography window, I had attached a PNG file to show you and prove it.
If there is another way to assign hiperlinks to entries in summary, please tell
me how to do it.
Thanks

I'm neutral on this.

Imagine it would have to touch a lot of multi-tab dialogs if replaced in bulk,
but moving to a scrolling vertical tab bar could be cleaner for holding
configuration settings and properties.

Easyhackable?

As from https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113330#c8 to
implement a button action to dock floating navigator opposite of the Sidebar
deck.

+F10 keyboard, or +double mouse click (pointer in the gray
header not the frame), will already toggle the F5 Navigator dialog.

Not sure a button on the dialog is needed, but it might be easier to find than
the shortcut or mouse action. But, not sure this is an .UNO command now (I
couldn't find the control).

Recent LO master on a 4K monitor, Standard-Formatting-Insert toolbars dragged
in line

Do it for yourself. Each toolbar can be dragged and positioned as needed.

And when responding to contextual changes, the toolbars will honor the changed
docking placement.

If you are asking for some HiDPI support to change the placement defaults, not
sure that is needed. At 4K resolutions the stacked toolbars are not much of an
issue--and can be repositioned if preferred, and retained in profile--with no
need to automate.

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jim.av...@gmail.com

Created attachment 137268
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=137268&action=edit
Example .odt document setting up the problem

With automatic numbering enabled, at a not-first numbered paragraph, then if
"Toggle Bulleted" is pressed, it seems impossible to ever resume the numbering
sequence.

This might be "user error", though. If so, perhaps the documentation could
say something about this case.

Please see the attached example document.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. Open new empty writer document

2. Tools->Autocorrect->AutocorrectOptions
Check (on) "Bulleted and numbered lists. Bullet symbol: *"
   OK

3. Type "1) something... " and the next paragraph is automatically
numbered with 2). Repeat, to get to "3)"

4. Press the "Toggle Bulleted List" button (in the format toolbar). The 3)
changes to an indented bullet. Type text and a few times. Indented
bulleted paragraphs appear.

5. Attempt to get back out and create top-level 4) paragraph. Not possible(?)
Rightclick->Promote One Level is not available
Clicking "Toggle Bulleted List" removes the bullet but gives no number
Clicking "Toggle Numbered List" replaced bullet with 1), not 4)

The attached small example sets up the condition. Thanks.

Sorry dude, I don't think it's a place to make fun of anyone ...

> A title bar is a perfectly functional widget and a basic, timeless component
> of modern user interfaces,

Nowadays there are many widgets that are functional, but that are not used for
many reasons. Keeping a horizontal bar that occupies several pixels just for
the title and window controls seems debatable to me... that is the point.

> despite all the GNOME Kool-Aid.

Okay, I see a lot of bias in your comment. If I mention other platforms it is
because both the macOS reference applications (core-apps) and the new Microsoft
apps + UWP reference don't use titlebar and the new applications for those two
platforms follow the same path.
On the *nix side only KDE (Kwin) has decided to force the use of titlebar
decorated by server side.

But the point is functionality. Several of my students use laptops with small
monitors of 1366x768 or less resolution, where vertical space is prized,
whereas the new favorite layout will be tabbed NotebookBar. For example WPS
Writer hides the titlebar when the window is maximized and is not something
that depends on the OS/DE, it is simply something useful and can be something
totally optional.

Extracting the media folder from the pptx. There are two formulas labeled and
identified as WMF (ImageMagick 7.0.6-9 Q16).

Opening the WMFs with Corel Draw 2017, there is char in Symbol font showing at
the lower left edge of the drawing objects as shown on canvas.

Copying it out and converting to Unicode it seems to be U+00a0U+0020

Seems like these should be clipped away when document is opened into
LibreOffice, but are not, and are picked up some odd glyph (PUA?), in 5.4.3.1
on Windows 10 I see the dagger glyph (U+2020) for each.

So this is some filter mishandling of the WMF bounding box--or a malformed WMF?

icon instead of to the last glyph of the line above.

Altering the enumeration icon really isn’t used often, so I’d like to request
changing that behaviour accordingly. Jumping into that icon could be achieved

Description:
Having several interchangeable rows of tabs at the top is not that good UI
design. It always is confusing, has no structure and one always has to think
first, which row is where, then which row do I need, and last which tab of that
row do I select. Would you consider using a side panel like the Gnome guys now
changed to in gnome-control-center [1]? Thats far more convenient and
especially useful, if there are a lot of items. That’s also the case why now
there’s the Firefox Tab Center Redux add-on!

Putting it under Languages makes it harder to find, especially for people who
aren't interested in asian or ctl fonts/languages, which is why i suggested

Or remove it from the modules, instead hang it off Tools -> Options ->
Languages -> Language Settings where the sw module setting already responds to
the checkboxes for Default Languages for Documents. Maybe a "Set Fonts" button
launch of a dialog, positioned under the "For the current document only"

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 112891] Add percent sign to a cell without recalculation

2017-10-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112891

I just tried, it works if you put a normal number in a cell and you add the %
sign, but it doesn't if in this cell there is a function before.

So imagine there is a SUM in B2 which I want to put that number in percent, but
I don't want to calculate the percent of that, because that value is the
percent itself and I just want to add the % sign.

Any solution?

So when i tested it, it seemed as if it was using the same settings that were
set in writer for CTL fonts in impress, but i see now that if i change it in
Writer, it doesnt affect impress, but is still using the default fonts that
does appear for writer.

> Also we'll need separate settings for each module, as a font that is good

I think it complicated things more by having it separate, where you can only
modify the setting if you are in that module. Half the 'Basic Fonts' pages is
empty and we could easily fill in the defaults for calc and impress/draw in it.

I understand that not much detail is provided. I'm merely editing a Writer odt

I'm adding sidebar comments to it. Even with a single odt document open, I
eventually get the same error. I cannot attach the document to this ticket

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 113415] New: Customizable "Get Help Online" and "Send Feedback" links in Help menu

2017-10-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113415

Bug ID: 113415
Summary: Customizable "Get Help Online" and "Send Feedback"
links in Help menu
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: framework
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: kelem...@ubuntu.com

Currently we have hardcoded URLs for the Help -> Get Help Online and Send
Feedback menu items, pointing to hub.libreoffice.org that takes users to the
Askbot and the https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/feedback page.

Now I'm in a situation where I'd like to customize these and centrally set up
organization specific links so that:
- we could have localized and site specific help contents/training materials
instead of the Askbot link
- and Feedback - or rather support requests - could be directed towards the
company ticketing system / customer service.

These menu items have good visibility from users POV, but in case of managed
workstations the community based support resources just don't cut it.
This is why I'm requesting this enhancement.

Of course the default values of future configuration keys should be the current
hard coded community resources.

A similar option is already implemented for the Help -> About -> Website

I see two square boxes outlines but they arent selectable or have any character
in it. If i select either of the two WMF formulas and click delete, and alt+tab
away and alt+tab back, 1 of the boxes will disappear.

Ha, ha, ha.

A title bar is a perfectly functional widget and a basic, timeless component of
modern user interfaces, despite all the GNOME Kool-Aid.

it seems to be a problem in the font, not in LibreOffice. Please see the
attached screenshot. Closing as RESOLVED NOTOURBUG

Inability to read a thumbnail from a file that doesn't have a thumbnail is
harmless... IMHO it shouldn't be a SAL_WARN, SAL_INFO at most.
