[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 113450] Cannot enter text involving the ALT Gr key in the find and replace dialog box

2017-11-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113450

I switched the keyboard layout to English, so that [] do not require the ALT-Gr
key, but this key is still available for other characters. Same result:
pressing the ALT-Gr key marks the entire text already contained in the Search
field of the dialogue box.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 113604] Optimal column width of table in Writer is cumbersome and not persistent

Sorry I don't understand this. In the versions of LO Writer available to me, I
cannot "adjust the column width to the content similarly to double-click
> between header cells in a spreadsheet". Instead, I have to do all the steps I
> enumerated in my first post.

Again, the selection is only needed if the user does actually want to optimize
only a subset of the columns. In my production of hundreds of tables in the
last decades, this has never happened to me. Anyway, if application of the
function to the entire table is the default case, then it should not require
selecting anything.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 113847] New: Printing from Draw/Impress: restructure distributing/ tiling options

2017-11-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113847

Bug ID: 113847
   Summary: Printing from Draw/Impress: restructure
distributing/tiling options
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Printing and PDF export
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mikekagan...@hotmail.com

Created attachment 137770
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=137770=edit
Screenshot of Impress print dialog

When printing from Draw and Impress, there are two options (absent in other
modules):

* Distribute on multiple sheets of paper
* Tile sheet on paper with repeated pages

They lack a description in help system, so here are the best descriptions I
could find:

>From tdf#63905:

> Tile pages puts multiple small pages onto one large page, unscaled. For
> instance,
> if you create a drawing with a page format of 4.25"x 5.5" (1/4th of a letter
> page)
> and print that on letter paper with tiling, it will put 4 non-scaled images on
> one sheet of letter paper.
>
> I don't think the description of "Tile sheet of paper with repeated pages" is
> very meaningful, but I can't come up with anything better. It literally is
> just
> tiling the pages.

>From tdf#84051:

> when you set page size to A2, and in printing set paper size as A4 and have
> "Distribute on multiple sheets of paper" selected, page will be printed to 9
> pages

So, what they both do, is print the pages *unscaled*, but the "Distribute"
deals with cases when the page in file is *larger* than selected printer's
page, and the "Tile" deals with cases when the page in file is *smaller* than
physical paper.

My proposal is to change these two items to be subitems of the "Original size"
option, and make them checkboxes to be able to check none (so that original
meaning of "Original size" is used in this case), one, or both. The reason is
that a user could want, e.g., to distribute pages on several physical sheets of
paper when paper is smaller, *and* tile when paper is large, or a combination.
Of course, Draw/Impress don't allow for different page sizes in one file, but
even then, it's possible to choose different printer paper at different times,
and have a proper preset.

I agree that the issue is more general than the title, as is implicit in the
description of the problem.
So I changed the title accordingly.
Feel free to improve the title.

Seems that this bug relates mostly to outlining, as all crushes that I reviewed
happen when LO tries to work with SwNodes::m_pOutlineNodes
Unfortunately I'm not expert in outlining and cannot help.
Unlikely that this bug relates to Bug 94225

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 113842] New: LO Writer issues with AutoKey-Py3

2017-11-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113842

Bug ID: 113842
Summary: LO Writer issues with AutoKey-Py3
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: wykidt...@gmail.com

Using Autokey-py3 in Linux (Antergos with GNOME 3.26) and I notice my phrases
in LibreOffice Writer are not activating correctly. For example, if I open
Leafpad or gedit I can type nan and it will expand to NaNoWriMo. If I do the
same in LO Writer then I get NnaWriM, or some other iteration, that's not
NaNoWriMo. This happens with all my phrases.

2017-11-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 113841
   Summary: Assertion failed in SvXMLNamespaceMap::GetQNameByKey
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.0.0.alpha1+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: filters and storage
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu
Blocks: 105537

Open attachment 114686 from bug 90511 with a debug build (asserts are only
checked in debug builds).

=> Assertion failed.

// ... if it isn't, this is a Bad Thing, assert and return the local name
assert(false);
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/xmloff/source/core/nmspmap.cxx#264

These are the parameters:
nKey = 40
rLocalName = width
bCache = true

And indeed, there's no namespace entry with key 40 in the checked containers.
I have a vague memory there was no assert 3 weeks ago, but can't say for sure.

Observed using a fresh LO 6.0 master build
(b56479e88edeabd6c6fe51cc0095a23543229856) / Windows 7.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106890] Page orientation of User page size is not determined correctly

2017-11-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106890

Looking at the behavior now it is indeed flawed.

In sidebar: you can select a predefined size (A4, letter, ...) and change the
orientation and all works fine. If you define your own custom size, then for no
reason the change of orientation sets the size to 0, 0.

In the dialog you have the same possibilities but here portrait and landscape
is a radio button not a combo. The naming of labels is also different (Size vs.
Format). If you set your custom size here and switch landscape/portrait then it
just switches width/height regardless which is actually landscape and which
portrait.

Looking at this I find cson...@halmai.hu ideas a step in the right direction so
we don't allow users to create inconsistencies with the UI. The severity of
this is however in the low - "paper-cut" category..

Oh.. and the sidebar is different in writer and draw for no reason - including
the label (again Size/Format).

Buovjaga: I'm not quite sure about the range. Based on what it looks like I was
trying to do at the time, I would think around A:ACF.

The sheet I was working on is (compared to what I've tried before) rather heavy
on data and calculations. Don't know whether that's of any importance.

Just tried reproducing it a couple of times without success.

So far I'll try and back-up and save my data more often.

If it occurs again, I'll try and be attentive to the exact procedures I was
performing. In case it happens: is there anything in particular I could look
for with regards to providing a better grounds for figuring out, what is going
on?

In any case - thanks for the effort and feedback, all of you. I really
appreciate it.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 113840] New: [Spreadsheet FORMATTING] Can not remove automatic hyperlinks

2017-11-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113840

Bug ID: 113840
Summary: [Spreadsheet FORMATTING] Can not remove automatic
hyperlinks
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.0.0.alpha0+
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jim.av...@gmail.com

Description:
If an email address or other hyperlink is auto-detected in text in a
spreadsheet cell, there does not seem to be any documented way to change it
back to plain text. The docs say "...LibreOffice formats the hyperlink with
direct font attributes (color and underline) the properties of which are
obtained from certain Character Styles."

1) Those "direct font attributes" are not removed by selecting the text and
doing Format->Clear Direct Formatting. What is a "direct font attribute"
which is not "Direct Formatting"?

2) The docs also say you can "open the context menu and choose Remove
Hyperlink."
but there is no "Remove Hyperlink" item in the context (right-click) menu when
an auto-hyperlink is selected in a spreadsheet cell. This does work in a text
document, however.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Tools->Autocorrect Options->(Options tab)->URL Recognition checked
2. File->New->Spreadsheet
3. Click in a cell; type "ho...@example.com"
4. Select the cell, or select the text inside the cell
5. Format->Clear Direct Formatting
6. right-click to see context menu

Actual Results:
Clear Direct Formatting does nothting, and there is no
"Remove Hyperlink" item in the context menu.

Expected Results:
Format->Clear Direct Formatting should clear the "direct font attributes"
mentioned in the docs (or if the docs are incorrect then they should be fixed);
and the documented "Remove Hyperlink" context menu should be present when the
auto-hyperlink is selected.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 102204] Default set locale doesnt set page size according to locale settings ( see comment 5)

2017-11-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=102204

Hello again,

Just re-read this Bug & Comments briefly. Now I understand your Comment...

"I did notice a strange behaviour that if the locale is set to 'Default' it
doesnt pull in the correct page size. I think this maybe the cause of your
problem, so set to 'French (France)' and not 'Default - French (France)'."

And really - IT WORKS.

just switched my LO from "Standard - German" to "German (German)" in the
Options dialog, and it works nicely!

But no normal User will ever be able to figure this out! (normal (sane) people
won't dig in bugtrackers in their spare time, I suppose).

So for me - thanks for your work!

Libo is opening all the dialog tabs in the 'background' to set the optimal
dialog size (see
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/vcl/source/control/tabctrl.cxx#2117)
Which can be a bit slow for tabs which need file access, for example color

Confirmed on the latest LibreofficeDev 6.0.0.0 alpha1.

I was thinking about suggesting a checkbox "Preserve Selection" in the
Find window, but I couldn't come up with a situation where the current
behaviour could be preferred. No need for checkbox.

The cell selection should absolutely be preserved.

Interesting! It's very specific by the looks of it.

1. Open the document

2. Open the insert fields menu but don't click on any part of the insert fields
menu

3. Select the document and go to page 53

4. Don't select the Fields pop-up

5. Mouse over the insert fields menu and use the mouse scroll bar to move the
Selection field to say Chapter 4

6. Select Chapter 4 in the Selection field

7. I get 1.2.1 selected

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 113701] Libre Calc continues scrolling and selecting rows - is totally unresponsive to input

2017-11-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113701

I tried to reproduce it on Windows, but was not able to (selecting with mouse,
columns A-T or even A-AI). I can get it to a state, where there is like a queue
of scrolling and when I let go, it keeps scrolling for some time.

Edmond: how many columns were in your selection at the time? Like from A to ??
Do you remember, how long you had held down the mouse-click/selection and
scrolled before letting go?
What was your zoom level? I used 50% myself.

It is obviously horrible to face potential data loss due to something like
this. If you are afraid of the issue returning, you could use the selection
tactic of clicking (once) in the first cell, then just finding the last cell
and shift-clicking it to complete the selection in one go.

It would be interesting, if you tried to reproduce the problem in a safe manner
(without any fear of data loss). Then we might learn the way to trigger it.

I tested with
Version: 5.4.1.2 (x64)
Build ID: ea7cb86e6eeb2bf3a5af73a8fac570321527
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 6.19; UI render: default;
Locale: fi-FI (fi_FI); Calc: group

However, now I noticed that if you select the object... afterwards rotate tool

Format?
Und beim Export (also Speichern?) soll ich wo was kontrollieren?
