[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114622] add Persian / Arabic-Indic / Hindi numbers in Number formats

2017-12-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114622

I suppose that the problem is that the page number insertion feature in Impress
(Insert->Page Number...->Slide Number checkbox) does not honor the setting in
Slide->Slide Properties...->Page tab->Layout Settings group->Page numbers.
There one can choose the required number format (including Persian /
Arabic-Indic / Hindi, if CTL is enabled in Options->Language
Settings->Languages), but the Header and Footer dialog (that opens for
Insert->Page Number...) unconditionally uses Arabic numerals.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114369] Label workflow requires simplification

2017-12-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114369

I suspect that two different things may be confused here. One is labels - many
sets of fields on a single sheet of paper. The other is mailmerge - one set of
fields on many documents.

I was able to produce a sheet of labels, with a different address on each
label. However, I could not omit blank fields.

I have not tried mailmerge.

since the PDF issue is fixed (see bug 84881) let's modify the title of this

I did notice some weirdness, but may I ask why you're specifying the order of
date in the file? Normally it should be set to the standard order corresponding
to your locale, and then when it's opened with a different locale, it'll show
accordingly.

I have created a new document which contains a few images (PNG's with a size of
usually a few hundred KIB's) where every image is covering ~95+% of a site. But
as soon as I'm scrolling through the document and hitting an image the
performance gets very bad:

- The scrolling process is stuttering.
- LibreOffice needs up to a few seconds to finish the process once the user
stops.
- The scrollbar is not able to visually update until the scrolling process
completely finishes.
- The CPU usage is very high (~250+%/600% (6 core CPU)) compared to scrolling
the same image in other applications (like Eye of GNOME where it is only
~5%/600%).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114612] New: Make rotation uno commands work outside of Writer

2017-12-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114612

Bug ID: 114612
Summary: Make rotation uno commands work outside of Writer
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: philip...@hotmail.com
Blocks: 103407, 114610

The rotate activation mode uno command (.uno:ToggleObjectRotateMode) is
universal across all apps, so it would be good if the 90* rotate uno commands
(.uno:RotateLeft, .uno:RotateRight), 180* uno command (.uno:Rotate180), and the
reset rotation uno command (.uno:RotateReset) also worked outside of writer.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

By using an abandoned font with not much user base, we are on our own when bugs
are found in the font (i.e. similar situation as we have now with the abandoned
Linux Libertine G fonts).

If it used to do this but no longer does it, this is a bug in current
LibreOffice. I attempted the same steps in the video, but was unable to
recreate the results in version 5.4.3.2.

I will try again with the latest update, and report back.

It might be a bug since in the previous version I hadn't had this problem for
years while doing the same job.

That is a good idea. But it's like moving the problem to the users from the
Libreoffice embedded code mistakes. If the user could choose the recent
accessed file from the file list which Libreoffice provided, Libreoffice should
convert '#' character to %-escaped one automatically as it used to do that for
years.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114606] New: Grayscale images with form set up with query, colour images with form set up directly from table

2017-12-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114606

Bug ID: 114606
Summary: Grayscale images with form set up with query, colour
images with form set up directly from table
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Base
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: gonew...@westnet.com.au

I created a table with a primary key several text fields and one one image
field.

Most of the data for the text fields came from a spreadsheet file. I entered
the images using a form and a folder stored in the same folder as the odb. I
was having issues with sorting and created a query from the current table.

The sort issues have now been resolved.

When I use the form created through the table, the images are in colour.

When I use the form created through the query, the images are in grayscale.

I can easily replicate this action by changing the source of data for the form
using Content Type/Content i.e. Table/Table Name and Query/Query Name. When I
do this, everything appears the same except Table/Table Name produces colour
images and Query/Query Name produces grayscale images.

I have been advised to record this as a bug.

My workaround is to avoid using Queries when I want Colour images in the form.

Details- Windows 10 up to date as of December 2017, Toshiba laptop with i5 CPU
and 8GB of RAM. I am using Base 5.1
Cheers

(Ah, figured it out, one simply replaces the 'www' part with the language
code.)

To get the "Support" link in the Mac App Store to point to localised pages on
libreoffice.org one would need to have a localised description, too. A good
idea, but I don't think we (Collabora Productivity) are prepared to maintain
such. Maybe the libreoffice.org website needs to have some discoverable way to
change language visible on all pages?
