[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 111806] Regression: Cannot Export to SVG ( ubuntu packages )

Corrected simple 4-point polygon LO Draw exported SVG

Hi. Confirmed on openSUSE Tumbleweed, LO Version: 5.4.3.2
Build ID: 40m0(Build:2)

I know what the problem is.
I have looked deep in the LO source and cannot seem to find
 where the fault is.

The attached Draw project exports a corrupted SVG, also attached.
An example of a corrected SVG file is also attached. I think my
correction is actually not quite the right point sequence but it works.

Take a close look. Do you see what happens? It happens consistently
with every project no matter how many points.

The corrupted:
--

The corrected:
--

There are two ways to correct it:
Shift each of the Y values to the RIGHT, or
Shift each of the X values to the LEFT.
(My corrected SVG file probably should have used the latter, not former.)

After that, correct the M point with the last point value.

See what I mean? Something in the exporter is mismatching the X and Y values,
they are "out of phase" by one point so to speak.

Possible to whip up a quick fix and release while we wait for 6.x?
I need this to work. I get such fixed release packages in a few days
 here on openSUSE Tumbleweed.

Thank you.

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 87341] FORMATTING: Wrong cells formating

2018-01-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87341

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

Right, I should've paid closer attention to the details, the fonts look
obviously different. Let me attach a comparison screenshot between 5.2.0.4 and
6.1 master build.

This sounds logical, however it doesn't explain two things:
- why did the font substitution change between 5.2 and 5.3, and what does it
have to do with the common layout change?
- why is it fine in Windows? I don't have the font there either, and it pretty
much looks the same as the pre-5.3 version in Linux.

A quick test document with embedded image - this prints fine

Hey all! First off, thank you so much for all your hard work. LibreOffice keeps
GNU/Linux and other free operating systems as a viable alternative in the
business world.

I've recently purchased an HP MFP m281Ffdw ("new" printer) to replace an HP
Photosmart 7520 ("old" printer).

Now, I'm noticing some weird things. I'm fairly certain I've managed to rule
out the printer and CUPS as being the culprit, as:

- The CUPS test page prints fine
- Text in LibreOffice prints fine
- SOME embedded images print fine

LO Devs don't fix bugs from Java/OpenJDK. If the bug is in LO then they can fix
it
else you'll have to wait for the Java/OpenJDK devs to fix it (if they know

Is this even valid?

Behavior now when you select content (with 4 mouse clicks OR with
+) of a paragraph--you _do not_ include the paragraph break.
So it would be wrong to insert one on paste.

If you need the paragraph end in the selection, extend the selection to include
the end marker.

Current (legacy behavior) is correct.

IMHO => WONTFIX

This is *not* about the DOCTYPE header (which should work with current releases
of LO), but rather about the additional
line. LO 6.1 will include a fix for that too.

I want the document, from which you have made the screenshots. Such document is
needed for 3), because it seems to be some special problem with the writing
direction or with font replacement, and such document cannot easily be
generated in e.g. an English or German environment.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114863] new features

You have managed to write your first bug report :)

> I have a few small ideas

Writing several ideas into one report does not work. We need for each feature
an own report, because the report number is referenced in the commit message
and sometime even in the source code, when the feature is implemented.

So please write for each idea a new report. But first look at bug 99525. It has
a list of already existing reports in regard of desktop publishing. If a
feature request is already tracked, we do not need a new report.

In contrast to field "Slide Number" the field "Slide Title" does not work, if
it is put on the master slide. It should show the name of the slide, which you
set by right click in the slide pane.

There is no description for this field. Therefore it is not clear, whether this
should work. I have put it as "enhancement" therefore.

Bug still exists. Can you please fix it already?

It is a regression!

In fact it is now even worse with LibreOffice 6.0 because now there is no
German translation of the wizard anymore. Why did you do that? Why are you
hellbent on making the wizard worse and worse with each version of LibreOffice?

If you can't be bothered to fix the wizard then why not remove it altogether?!
As it stands the wizard is now worse than useless.

Thank you for doing nothing in this regard for almost five years (see bug
#65259 as to why "five" years). I might switch to Apache OpenOffice.org.

I guess I reproduce the problem with LO 5.4.4 from Ubuntu PPA.
Steps to reproduce:
1/ menu Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Personalization
2/ check Own Theme -> you get a new dialog "Select Firefox Theme"

3/ paste the url of a theme in the text field, for exemple
https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/dark-fox-18066/
-> you get an error box saying it does not find this url. Clicking on the OK
button does not close the error box and after a moment finally LO crashes.
If I paste the same url but with http instead of https, LO close immediately.

4/ restart LO and redo steps 1 and 2, then click one of the category buttons
-> LO answer "Searching, please wait..." and after a moment this message
disappears without result.

Same behavior with LO 6.0.0.1.0+ built at home under Ubuntu 16.04 x86-64.

It worked in a previous version, so regression.

Best regards. JBF

Description:
The shape area, and the shape lines can be set to transparent. However the text
within is always in-transparent. This can be annoying in some cases. Say, I
would want to create my own watermarking using a shape for example.

3. Type something into it; try to set the text to a transparency

Bug ID: 114865
Summary: LO5 and LO5.4.4.2 are packaged in Linux Mint 18.3
Sylvia edition. The 32 bit version download will not
allow the user to create an LO5 database. The 64 bit
download version has no problems and LO5 Base runs
perfectly well.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.4.2 release
  Hardware: Other
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Base
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: davidllewellyn2...@gmail.com

Description:
I downloaded Linux Mint 18.3 Sylvia in late December, just after it was
released. I downloaded both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions for two different
office equipments, both laptops, one older than the other. Both versions have
LO5 and I also upgraded to LO5.4.4.2 With the 64 bit version I can run all
packages of LO5 and there is no issue at all. With the 32 bit version, you
cannot create a database table at all. If you attempt to create a table, the
programme jumps out and returns you to the green Mint screen. All other LO
packages run fine - except the Base package. I did mention this to Libre Office
during a live chat and was told the "there is a bug in the Java for the 32 bit
version" it is not a Libre Office bug.Can you tell me if by now, after 10
days or so, that the Java bug has been fixed for the 32 bit version, and the
LO5.4.4.2 Base package will perform ok in the 32 bit version of Linux Mint 18.3
 ??

Actual Results:
download linux mint 18.3 Sylvia 32 bit distribution
menu
click on Libre Office
click on Libre Office Base
attempt to create a data table

Expected Results:
on clicking the "create table" option, the programme jumps out of Libre Office
and returns the user to the green Mint screen. This ONLY happens on the 32 bit
download version. I also have the 64 bit download and Libre Office works
perfectly correctly in all packages.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
Should have allowed me to create tables and a complete database.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114863] New: new features

2018-01-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114863

Bug ID: 114863
   Summary: new features
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.3.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Draw
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: d...@10g.pl

Description:
Hey,

I have a few small ideas that would facilitate the use of Libre Office Draw.

Namely, I miss the function of creating various types of brochures. The idea is
to create, for example, a booklet with a title page, two middle and final
pages. The two middle pages must "see each other" so that, for example, you can
insert a large image from two sides. So far, there is no such function. Another
thing is to combine text frames so that the text automatically runs smoothly to
the next frames, e.g. by reducing the width or height of the text frame.

Another thing is the possibility to create margins in printing and cutting
lines, as well as registration and color strips for exporting to pdf. The
format of the page that is set must be, for example, larger by a few
millimeters for the margins in print. Exactly like in Scribus (DTP) :)

https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paser_(poligrafia)

Another issue is printing the work prepared in LibreOffice Draw. Namely, it is
about evenly spreading the prepared work (business cards) on the page and a
sheet of paper of various formats (eg A4). It is about setting the page margins
in relation to, for example, a business card and the distance of the same card
itself vertically and horizontally.

Have a nice day.

(Google translator).
