I see that type of Microsoft Installer failure when our IT folks are pushing
updates, or some other program's update installer has left the Windows
Installer service is in an unstable state. If a program install balks, I will
just reboot to get a clean instance of the service for the msiexec.exe to run.
Installer cache can be cleared manually, but the reboot is simpler.

So, reboot and test your installation then--adjust status accordingly.

I'm comfortable calling this NOT OUR BUG.

p.s.
(In reply to mathit1 from comment #6)
> Thanks! Will daily builds update automatically, if so configured?

No, each daily full .msi package must be installed, personally I recommend and
prefer /a Administrative installations--and keep the Fresh release installed
with its Windows Registry footprint.

There is an experimental MAR based incremental on TB38 for Windows, and TB80
for Linux. Follow bug 54242 and bug 68274, the Windows builds there are not
turning at the moment but Linux has been pretty reliable.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

no need to store small objects like this out of line.

Also
 - add move constructor and move assignment operator
 - drop Assign method since it now has the same

That's identical to what I get. the text that's already written stays RTL, but
the styles are now all LTR, and if you apply any of them the text they are
applied on becomes LTR.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116426] New: Document Switching (Change Window Focus) Not Working in Calc on MacOS

2018-03-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116426

Bug ID: 116426
Summary: Document Switching (Change Window Focus) Not Working
in Calc on MacOS
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.2.1 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: landi.farnswo...@gmail.com

MacOS has a system-level keyboard shortcut to use Command-` (grave accent) to
switch between open documents. It's referred to as "Move focus to next window"
in System Prefs, Keyboard, Shortcuts. This has always worked in LO and still
works in LO Writer. But with the 6.x releases, it's stopped working in Calc.

I assume there's a conflict with some other keyboard shortcut, but in any case,
can this be looked at?

Confirmed that this keyboard shortcut does NOT work on 6.0.2.1 & 6.1.0 Calc

Confirmed that this keyboard shortcut DOES work on 5.4.5.1 Calc & Writer

My remark at step 2 respective tips: If both modes, standard tips and extended

I checked this both in Excel and LibreOffice, and the results correspond to
each other within at least 5 decimals (surely more). I don't know what you did,
if you copied values from one program to another, make sure the columns are
calculated in both software, and the number of displayed decimals in the final
sum is set to the same in both Excel and Calc.

That may be because you don't have the dictionary for PT-BR. You could try
resizing the window to a small scale and see if hyphenation is enabled. Here on
my end hyphenation shows in Writer, but not in the EPUB.

I managed to add it through Calibre, but it still would be nice to have it
automatically.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116425] New: FILEOPEN XLSX Excel spreadsheet takes forever and a lot of CPU time to open

2018-03-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116425

Bug ID: 116425
Summary: FILEOPEN XLSX Excel spreadsheet takes forever and a
lot of CPU time to open
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.2.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: clogged.drainp...@gmail.com

Description:
Here I have a spreadsheet that Calc absolutely chokes on. Just opening the file
take about 2 minutes of CPU time, while Calc is completely unresponsive. Even
after the document is open, all operations are very sluggish and Calc
repeatedly locks up and stops responding for many seconds. MS Excel 2016 has no
problems opening the file under 10-20 seconds.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to open attached document
2. Observe that it locks up, uses 100% of one CPU core, and after a long time
it opens the document
3. Observe that any attempted operation in the document can take a very long
time

Actual Results:
The file takes forever to open and locks up LO for extended periods of time

Expected Results:
The file should open quickly, without excessive CPU usage. LO should not lock
up and stop responding while loading the document.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Hmm, actually one of the recent comments in that Launchpad report is:
LibreOffice Base works fine on Xenial i386 with last test kernel:

~$ uname -a
Linux WS 4.4.0-112-generic #135~lp16909772Revert88a1685 SMP Tue Mar 6 08:40:12
UTC 2018 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux

Unfortunately it doesn't seem like that change is yet in mainline Ubuntu.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116424] New: Changelog not available in Ubuntu repo for CODE

2018-03-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116424

Bug ID: 116424
Summary: Changelog not available in Ubuntu repo for CODE
   Product: LibreOffice Online
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mich...@nexigon.net

Hoping that I'm reporting at the right location, I was directed here from the
website https://www.collaboraoffice.com/code/

Collabora Online Development Edition is installed via instructions on:
https://www.collaboraoffice.com/code/
for ubuntu 16.04

It's running fine and thanks for making this possible.
There are some updates for CODE ready to be installed at the moment on my
system.
Partial output from apt-get upgrade -s:
Inst collaboraofficebasis5.3-core [5.3.10.36-36] (5.3.10.43-43
www.collaboraoffice.com [amd64]) []

Of course I would like to know what the changes will be if I decide to upgrade.
Output for apt-get changelog collaboraofficebasis5.3-core:

E: Failed to fetch changelog:/collaboraofficebasis5.3-core.changelog Changelog
unavailable for collaboraofficebasis5.3-core=5.3.10.43-43

It would be nice to see a changelog for the packages.

Not yet in 5.0.2, but already in 5.3.0 (tested on Win).
I tried bibisection repos on Win, but they acted confusingly: sometimes they
did not show any progress in the PDF printing dialog. So I can't say if the
problem appeared in 5.1 or 5.2.

I have installed this version already on several computer with win7, there were
no issue. It seems the problem bind to win10 somehow.
It would be nice to have a workaround until the next release will comes out.

Hmm, you are using a 32-bit Ubuntu. I wonder if you are hitting this bug
108619. Unfortunately it has still not been fixed in Linux Kernel:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1699772 (see latest
comments).

What is your Ubuntu version? 14.04?

I had version 6.0.2.1 installed. It looked like the Labels were going to work
but my LibreOffice Writer had quit working completely. So I removed LibreOffice
and installed Writer, Calc and Base. Trying to print labels from an old build
it did not recognize my database. Made a new database with LibreOffice Base but
when I tell Base to open it for editing, it crashes. If I go back to Base to
open existing database it doesn't see it. Calc will open it but crashes when
trying a query. Safe mode is the same. Writer does work now and I can see my
spreadsheets with calc.
This is version 6.0.2.1. Should I close out this bug and start a new one?

Description:
I have wanted this feature in my word processor for many, many years. Probably
since the 80's! I work with what there is, yet having this would be very nice.

I'd like the ability to insert a "more" button. When you click the button a
text box opens where "more" text can be put in, and an "x" in the upper right
to close the text box (and "save" the changes within the document).

The "hidden" features of LibreOffice give some of this functionality, but its
not very good, hard to use and not intuitive - requiring a lot of work-arounds
and thinking.

Let me give you a perfect example of where this is useful. Lists. People have
all kinds of lists of everything, all the time. To-do lists, friends lists,
inventory, grocery, insurance items, etc, etc. And often there is description
or "more information" associated with each item in the list. So what happens
is that you have to page through page after page of unimportant stuff to get to
the item you want. What would be much better is to have the list, with "more"
buttons. Here, let me show you:

Thomas [more]
Mary [more]
Scott [more]
Jane [more]

I can scroll down the list easily, or do a search and find the person I am
looking for, then click the [more] button by their name and pull up all the
rest, like an email link, phone number, address, personal information, notes,
etc.

Having a “more” button would be perfect for documents that several people are
working on. When we send out the document, others can easily get in touch with
us by clicking the [more] button without clogging up the document.

Home inventory for insurance purposes - another great example. A list of
everything, then the "more" button can have text, serial number, purchase price
and date and maybe even a picture. Since home inventory changes all the time,
having the "more" button makes that easier.

List of websites you use - another great example. A list of websites. Click
the "more" button to put in your login information and notes about the site.

I could go on and on. Like I said, I've long wanted this feature.

When you pop up the text box, allow the user to resize it as desired and keep
the size info with the saved text box information. For printing, there is
probably no need to including the information behind the “more” buttons.

I am a computer scientist and an HTML coder. I've created HTML that has this
feature, yet it is time consuming to maintain and has little external files all
over the place. It would be much better to keep it within one document. I
would volunteer to code this feature for you, into your application, yet I've
never done any work on public supported software before and this would best be
done by someone that knows what they're doing.

One of the work-arounds I use is to put the list at the top of the document and
link it to text down below, but that's pretty messy. Also, it is useless for
most applications. For example, if one were creating a nature paper, a little
"more" button by the different kinds of animals while you're writing would be
awesome. It is entirely intuitive that way.

The flying squirrel [more] is found all over north America, yet is most
common...

See what I mean?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116420] New: Error when I try to open an Document in a Sharepoint WebDAV directory

2018-03-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116420

Bug ID: 116420
Summary: Error when I try to open an Document in a Sharepoint
WebDAV directory
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.2.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mayer-freib...@arcor.de

Description:
Hello, since LO 6 I can't open a Document in a WebDAV directory on a sharepoint
Server.
When I try to to this, I get an error Message: (in german) "Die Sperrdatei

The reason seems to be, that LO tries to write the lockfile with ending .odt#.
But # is not allowed in a filename on the Sharepoint Server.

Until LO5 this was no problem, the problem comes with LO6. It seems that LO5
opens the Document although it can't write the lock life. LO6 stops wirh the
erroe message.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Connect to a WebDAV share
2.Open an odt file with LO6
3.

Actual Results:

That means that the lock file could not be created because of missing rights.

Expected Results:
Open the document
