This cell(b18):

returns #VALUE! despite $C$19 containing:

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

Oops ... re: my comment 4 ... I'm minimising the blank spreadheet to see the
text Import dialogue box ... the CSV opens minimised because of this. If I move
the blank spreadsheet instead of minimising it, then the CSV loads into the
previously blank spreadsheet, albeit the CSV spreadsheet window displays behind
the pre-existing open calc spreadsheet, rathe than in the foreground.

One more issue. For the error case described above (invoke CSV from finder when
there is a calc spreadsheet being displayed), once the user has found and
actioned the Text Import dialogue box, such that the CSV loads into a window,
the CSV window is hidden.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open openoffice
2. Create a spreadsheet, and leave the spreadsheet window displayed (i.e. do
not minimise it)
3. Go to Finder
4. Double-click on a .CSV file
5. Find the obscured Text Import dialogue box
6. OKay the Text Import dialogue box

Expected: the CSV spreadsheet window is displayed
Actual: the CSV spreadsheet window is minimised. The user has no clue that it
has been created.

Finally, note that when presented with the Text Import dialogue box hidden
behind the blank spreadsheet window, Cmd-TABbing away fro and then back to OO
causes the blank spreadsheet window to disappear, and leave the Text Import
dialogue box visible.

So my suspicion here is that there's an unneeded blank spreadsheet window being
created at an inappropriate point in the proceedings

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116512] New: FILEOPEN: Text Import dialogue box hides behind empty spreadsheet when importing CSV

2018-03-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116512

Bug ID: 116512
Summary: FILEOPEN: Text Import dialogue box hides behind empty
spreadsheet when importing CSV
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.2.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tagishsi...@gmail.com

Description:
Double-clicking on a CSV file in Finder (on a mac) causes OO Calc to open the
file (presuming appropriate file associations) ... OO Calc will put up a Text
Import dialogue box allowing the user to specify character set, seperators,
etc.

When double-clicking on a CSV file in Finder, with OO Calc already open and
with an existing spreadsheet window open & being displayed, OO puts up a blank
spreadsheet window, and puts up the Text Import dialogue box ... but hides the
Text Import dialogue box behind the blank spreadsheet window. The unsuspecting
user can see the blank spreadsheet window, but may have no clue that there's a
Text Import dialogue box open.

Note that when clicking on a CSV in finder:
- with OO closed, the Text Import dialogue box is foregrounded
- with OO open, but no files open, the Text Import dialogue box is foregrounded
- with OO open, and with a calc file minimised, the Text Import dialogue box is
foregrounded
- with OO open, and with a calc file being displayed, the Text Import dialogue
box is BACKGROUNDED

The Text Import dialogue box

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open openoffice
2. Create a spreadsheet, and leave the spreadsheet window displayed (i.e. do
not minimise it)
3. Go to Finder
4. Double-click on a .CSV file

Actual Results:
The Text Import dialogue box is hidden behind a blank spreadsheet

Expected Results:
The Text Import dialogue box is foregrounded in front of a blank spreadsheet,
or, the Text Import dialogue box alone is displayed ... the user should see the
dialogue box which requires her attention; the dialogue box should not be
hidden behind a window

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116511] New: Calc crashes when opening Function Wizard through Cmd-F2 shortcut

2018-03-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 116511
Summary: Calc crashes when opening Function Wizard through

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.2.1 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: pefcas...@gmail.com

Description:
Calc crashes when the "steps to reproduce" are followed. Interestingly, opening
the Function Wizard window does NOT cause Calc to crash in the following
closely related scenarios:
- Instead of the =SUM(1) formula, a simpler =1 formula is used.
- The formula is =SUM(1), but instead of using the Cmd-F2 keyboard shortcut,
the Function Wizard window is opened by clicking on the "fx" icon/button on the
formula bar, or by using the menu Insert > Function.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new blank spreadsheet.
2. Enter the =SUM(1) formula in cell A1.
3. Select cell A1 and type Cmd-F2 (Apple/Mac keyboard shortcut).

Actual Results:
Calc crashes.

Expected Results:
The Function Wizard window opens.

Having to tab through options in a dialog box does not count as keyboard
accessibility IMHO (especially when the GTK theme makes it difficult to clearly
see which button in highlighted).

These buttons need a shortcut character which should appear on the button when
the user presses the 'ALT' key, as is normal for all (normal) dialogs.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106249] Expose OLE draw:frame draw: text-box to selectively control overwriting of OLE objects, e.g. an OLE Formula in Impress opened with F2

2018-03-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon

@Regina: Can I do that though? I would still want F2 to retain the normal edit
behaviour for text boxes. Why should I use 'enter' to edit formulas, but F2 to
edit text boxes?

I agree with Regina, this kind of text is seldom deliberately used (only ever
used by me accidentally!) so it would be best if F2 is redirected for editing
the OLE content for equations, if possible.

2018-03-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116510

Bug ID: 116510
Summary: Support Cut, Copy, and Paste with images anchored to
Cells
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: lukebe...@hotmail.com

With Bug 98931 fixed, we now have the ability to insert images into cells. But
the Cut, Copy, and Paste does not behave as expected.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open attachment 139094 in Calc and Excel
2. Select a Row
3. Cut
4. Paste

Expected Results:

The picture should move with number

Actual Results:

In Calc, only the number is moved. In Excel, both are moved.

(In reply to Regina Henschel from comment #4)
Thanks for the answer. But i'm still a little confused (or I'm I missing
something). It's not about 'creating' styles and the successive usage. But
about replacing/using a different page style (for example changing 'default' to
'envelope')

I want to replace the page layout for the first page using a different page
style, without affecting any other page(s). How do I achieve for the attached
file?

[Note: I used CTRL+ENTER for the page break (or Insert -> Manual Page break ->
Style None) and configured a page style afterward using the organizer tab the
second page].

I can change the page layout of the first page without affecting the second
page if the New style is set in Insert -> More Page breaks -> Manual Page break
dialog

There exists two method for getting a change in page style:
1. Set the page style in the first paragraph of the page, that you want to get
the new style. You find the setting in the paragraph properties in tab "Text
Flow". If you will switch the page style while you are writing, do not use
Ctrl+Enter, but use Insert > Manuel Break, which allows you to select the page
style.
2. A page style has a field "Next style" in the tab "Organizer". That means,
that one page uses the given style, but the next pages will use the style
specified there. You can examine the page style "First Page" to see how it
works.

A page style is always applied to all following pages until the style is
changed by method 1 or 2.

No it is no bug. You can always define a list style that meets your demands and
save it in a document template for further use. Besides that, recently the
predefined list styles have got a rework. You should test them. Perhaps you
find a style which works for you out of the box.

Disable OpenGL rendering.

You'll need to add the below stanzas with a text editor to your profile
configuration--registrymodifications.xcu in the %APPDATA%\LibreOffice\4\user
folder.

They won't be there with a new default profile, because on Windows builds
OpenGL is enabled (unless it was black-listed); once the stanzas are added they
can be edited true or false as needed.

false
false

Also, please let us know what GPU and driver your system has (from Windows
msinfo32.exe)

You can probably resolve with a driver update. But for now marking as duplicate

a sub form list box that works. I tried all options in safe mode and same
problem.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Embedded Database
2. Form with 2 Option Buttons for each state (on and off) with one option
defaulted.
3. Choose and option, leave record and go back to record and no option
selected.

Actual Results:
The option button selected does not have the 'dot' appearing.

Expected Results:
The 'dot' should appear for the option selected.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116506] New: Numbered Lists Don't Work And Haven't For A Decade

2018-03-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116506

Bug ID: 116506
Summary: Numbered Lists Don't Work And Haven't For A Decade
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 3.3.0 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: gosmallwhe...@msn.com

Description:
Ever since I first used OpenOffice and then Libreoffice numbered lists haven't
worked using the Tahoma font. At number 10 the next word is about six spaces to
the right of the number. If I go into the format>bullets and numbers and select
the style I want it works; but it changes the font and won't work for Tahoma.
So if I highlight all of the list and select Tahoma it will then cause the
problem. I don't know how this will show up on your page but below I'm going to
try to show it to you by creating a list.
1. word
2. word
3. word
4. word
5. word
6. word
7. word
8. word
9. word
10. word
If I move the cursor to the empty space and press backspace it will move the
word to the number 9 line behind the previous word. 9. wordword.

I don't know if this malfunctions for all fonts. I haven't tested it. This bug
is also in Google Docs. Maybe they got their code from you. I reported this
years ago and nothing was done. I'm just getting back to using Libreoffice and
the bug is still here. PLEASE fix this.

A second bug is the spacing of the letters when printing documents with the
Tahoma font. It just looks ugly. The spacing is really bad. Please fix that
too.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Select Tahoma font
2.Make a numbered list with at least ten entries
3.Observe how bad it looks

Actual Results:
1.Select Tahoma font
2.Make a numbered list with at least ten entries
3.Observe how bad it looks at number ten. The first word will be many spaces to
the right. The numbers in the list don't realign so that the zero in the number
ten is below the number nine.

Expected Results:
After the number 10 there will be a big space between the zero and the next
letter. 10. word.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
When typing the number 10 in a numbered list it should realign under the number
nine to show the zero directly under the number nine. The column of numbers
should shift to accommodate this change at every level such at number 9 to 10,
number 99 to 100, number 999 to 1000, et cetera. The beginning of each first
letter of each numbered item should align from number one to the last number in
the list.

I did not try resetting the UserProfile.
I did not see if OpenGL is enabled.
I'm not a computer guy. I just use programs.
This has happened on my Gateway Windows XP SP3 desktop from 2004 in OpenOffice,
an Apple Macbook using Libreoffice from 2008 using Leopard. It did this on
Windows Vista. It did this on all of my GNU/Linux machines using Ubuntu and
Elementary since 2013. It does it on my Chromebook to this day in Google Docs.
It now does this on my 2017 Windows 10 computer.

2018-03-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114794

Thanks to everyone for their efforts on my behalf. A suggestion (from the
Ability helpline) to use a single record table to pass the vital parameter to
the report has worked. I am now able to create a usable report from my
databases, using either LibreOffice Base or Abiity. I suspect I will have to
go through the process proposed by Stang above in order to access the Kits
database in LO, but I can use that in Ability without problems.

Since, in the past, the crashing of LO Base has indicated to me that an update
needs to be done, I shall await the next update with interest!

Installed it as a bundled extension.
chmod the directory structure and files of the extension in
/usr/lib/libreoffice/share/extensions/ with +rx
The extension displays in the Extension Manager as Locked (A padlock symbol)
The extension does not display in the LibreOffice Macros or My Macros in the
Run Macro dialog
This option, sadly, doesn't help, unless someone knows how to resolve the
permission issue.
Arguably, one shouldn't have to jump through these sorts of hoops anyway.

OK, downloaded Fresh & Basic and ran it in a test account as well as my regular

--

Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: group

The subfolder labels were all correctly displayed (see new screenshot).

2) Regular libreoffice 6.0.2.1
--
% libreoffice6.0

ugly output. the offending font is 'Noto Sans Bold 9'

(soffice:4772): Pango-WARNING **: shaping failure, expect ugly output.
shape-engine='PangoFcShapeEngine', font='Noto Sans Bold 9', text='Documents'

The error messages of the regular version seem to indicate a font issue, which
would perfectly explain the empty rectangles. It would be tempting to assume
that my fonts installation is corrupt. However, why does LO 5.4.5.1 not issue
similar error messages?

Regards
Tom
