https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116553 Buovjaga changed: What|Removed |Added Summary|Bad usability in UI if you |Bad usability in UI if you |have search bar and |have quick find bar and |enumeration bar open at |Bullets and numbering |same time |toolbar open at the same ||time (see comment 5) --- Comment #5 from Buovjaga --- Ok, your terminology was confusing. So, clearer steps: 0. Activate View - Toolbars - Bullets and numbering and place it under the quick find bar (might need some fiddling) 1. Write a page full of text and use a numbered list somewhere in it 2. press CTRL + F to search for a word which is included in the text and also included in your numbered list (so your word must be > 1 times existing in your text) 3. use the arrow buttons to navigate between the search results (going to the next search result) I cannot reproduce the problem. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103947 Adrien changed: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED Resolution|WONTFIX |--- Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #3 from Adrien --- Coming here from Bug 116686 https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116686: I've yet to encounter any such corruption, either using export, or using the Print to functionality, but I understand why this was marked as WONTFIX, but then the bug isn't the lack of functionality (for very good reasons), but a poor UX handling of the situation. A user should not be thrown an error without explanation or have to figure out options on their own. If you don't want people editing PDF's with LO, then don't allow them to edit PDF's with LO. Why is that functionality there at all? Why isn't the PDF imported as read only? What's the point? Why not warn the user they'll have to export as a different file name, or how doing this at all risks the corruption you speak of? This bug should be re-opened, at least with respect to how the error is handled with the user. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116687] New: Multiple Selection "hangs" after Ctrl+Left or Ctrl+Right
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116687 Bug ID: 116687 Summary: Multiple Selection "hangs" after Ctrl+Left or Ctrl+Right Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.1.0.4 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: gerhard.we...@t-online.de Created attachment 140945 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=140945&action=edit Hardcopy of a sixfold re-selection In Writer select two not contiguous text portions, using Ctrl for the second selection (for a contiguous selection there is a similar effect, but it's more difficult to describe). Then use Ctrl+Right or Ctrl+Left. Then, as it should be, the cursor jumps to the start of the next word or to the previous one. But the selection is not cancelled, it remains and will only vanish if you close the document. Thus it seems that only the surface representation is affected. This is confirmed by the fact that if you create a selection elsewhere and change the attributes, then only this new selection is affected. The object CurrentSelection also shows only the new selection or simply the cursor position. It seems that pressing Ctrl is the signal for retaining the selection, even though the combination Ctrl+Right or ...Left does something completely different. As someone pointed out to me, you can even cumulate the effect by again and again selecting parts of the same primary selection; I enclose a hardcopy of a sixfold selection, resulting in an ever deeper blue colour. I could reproduce this in Windows 10 for many LibO versions since 4.1.0.2.0. In versions 3.5.0rc3 and older and in OpenOffice this does not happen. For the intermittent versions I cannot say anything, as I had technical problems installing them. This behaviour has been reproduced twice by other people for different Linux installations and different LibO versions, too. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Checked the Format of the page being correctly orientated etc and Print Preview did NOT show all images. So I defined the print range as the whole page, which I thought would have been standard printing practice ie if I say print sheeets 1,3,4,5 then the entire sheets of 1, 3, 4, 5 should be selected and printed but apparently Libreoffice didn't think like I did. I amended all the sheets and defined the print range as the entire sheet and then all graphs showed on Print Preview. I Exported as PDF and viola' all graphs appeared. Rename the new file to the original file name. Workaround #2: If PDF printing is available, through the respective print dialogs, such as on macOS "Save as PDF" or linux "Print to File", and choosing to overwrite - works fine. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116685] Copy-pasting a range of cells from Calc to Writer should produce a table by default
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116685 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added CC||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- Comment #4 from V Stuart Foote --- There is no means to paste data into an existing table--that is bug 37223 and/or bug 95741 Copy -> Paste from Calc to Writer by default pastes a Calc8 OLE object. Copy -> Paste Special DDE, or HTML will paste either active DDE content, or HTML table which picks up Writer templates "Default Style" table. The style can then be changed. Point here is that you _can_ bring data over from Calc -- just that the default now is a static OLE object that can not be styled, with an option of DDE or HTML--either of which can be styled. Would the HTML table be a better paste default than the Calc8 OLE? And at some point we would need to be able to modify the Default Table style. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116531] Absence of category names under tabs in the Tabbed Notebookbar
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116531 andreas_k changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |WONTFIX --- Comment #3 from andreas_k --- Hi Pedro, Tabbed toolbar group the different actions into tabs so in one tab there is one action group. In the home tab it's a mix between edit and font things but the other tabs are really for one group. there are also some subgroups but in the end it should be clear what the different subgroups are for. As you can see I play around with different icon sizes so the idea is that each subgroup had one big icon with labels on bottom and than two rows with the other actions for the subgroup. So you can see what's the group for with the one big icon in first place. Groupedbar are complete different there you have everything in one toolbar (contextual separated) so it's necessary to give an information what's the group for. In addition to the group label it's a drop down menu where you get ALL actions that are not visible in the dropdown menu. so you get a wontfix cause I think the subgroup labels in the tabs are only lost space. I'm not interested into a 1:1 copy of MS Office the tabs separation is a good thing and help the users but label the different subgroups aren't necessary from my point of view. anyway thanks for the bug report and to review notebookbars. I can show you how to play around with the ui files and glade so if you want you can do your own notebookbar and upload the file to the extension webpage. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
