[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116911] PDF generated from LibreOffice Writer has a problem where text from the document , when copied gets mangled.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116911 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW CC||vmik...@collabora.co.uk, ||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu Blocks||103378 Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #5 from V Stuart Foote --- Confirmed on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit en-US with Version: 6.0.3.2 (x64) Build ID: 8f48d515416608e3a835360314dac7e47fd0b821 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: default; Locale: en-US (en_US); Calc: CL So this is really weird--is it a problem with the font. Or with export filtering to PDF? In sample ODT, the Default paragraph style has modified font to use Calibri, and direct formatting is applied to increase font size. Exporting from the ODT to PDF result renders in various viewers (Adobe Reader, Firefox, Chrome) correct appearance. But as noted, a select, copy, paste from the document has characters garble: l -> a, a -> l, o -> i, i -> o, g -> " " Then dumping text of the PDF with gs (i.e. 'gswin64c -sDEVICE=txtwrite -o output.txt Tue-1000-Apr-10-2018-Devotion-2.pdf') has corrupted strings. If I change the Default style to use a font other than Calibri--e.g. Liberation Sans, or Arial--the resulting PDF then has no string corruption on copy/paste or if dumping the strings with gs. For now can work around of using a different font. But weird! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116912] New: UI: Excessive Redraw/ Recalculate Effort During Resize Operation
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116912 Bug ID: 116912 Summary: UI: Excessive Redraw/Recalculate Effort During Resize Operation Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.1.6.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: tcol...@livingdata.com.au I observe that Calc (V5.1.6.2) seems to do multiple redraws during the window resize operation. This works fine for small simple files. For larger files, with higher processing loads, it is a problem. I find that after a resize operation, I can wait from 1-30 seconds for the multiple redrawings to finish executing and catch up with the final window size. I think this redrawing includes multiple recalculations of formulas, of which VLOOKUP is noted for being particularly demanding. The queuing and execution of multiple redraws seems completely unnecessary and makes calc files, that are otherwise quite functional, difficult to resize. Could the redraw procedure be reworked so that there is no accumulation or queuing of multiple redraw or recalculate events? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=83947 --- Comment #7 from Luke --- (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #6) > Adding TC comments to the TC tooltips could be an EASYHACK. If we're going sacrifice UX for ease of implementation, we should make this optional and possible to disable. See bug 114523, as an example of how users hate the tooltips UI. If a user wants information, it should be readily available in a nice format. Tooltips not only make you wait, they are hard to activate. They can also be very annoying when they activate accidentally based on where you leave the mouse. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78916] Custom page size missing from print dialog
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78916 --- Comment #15 from Matthias Urlichs --- Oh, it gets worse. I have a label printer. The OS page setup / print dialogs (Linux Gnome) display the available label sizes (from the remote printer's PPD, I presume). LO, on the other hand, only shows its standard paper sizes even when I select this printer in File / Printer Settings… . It's simply not reasonable to force the user to manually enter custom page sizes or workaround the problem via PDFs, when the OS affords reasonable page sizes to any program that cares to ask. Using the OS page setup and print dialog boxes is not a "stopgap measure". It's the only sane way to handle printing. The times where the OS dialog was so unuseable and/or inadequate that you had no choice but invent your own are gone. As it is now, my printer is unuseable with LO. :-( -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116890 --- Comment #8 from Julien Nabet --- On pc Debian x6-64 with master sources updated today, I could reproduce this. I noticed that in /home/julien/lo/libreoffice/connectivity/source/drivers/firebird/ResultSetMetaData.cxx, connectivity::firebird::OResultSetMetaData::getColumnName, I could already retrieve "CONSTANT" so I think it seems to come from firebird engine. But perhaps I'm wrong. I also noticed the difference between sqlname and aliasname for CONSTANT, eg: (gdb) p m_pSqlda->sqlvar[column-1].sqlname $34 = "CONSTANT", '\000' (gdb) p m_pSqlda->sqlvar[column-1].aliasname $35 = "Strasse", '\000' -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
