[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121327] New: Support multi-colored fonts using CBDT/SBIX tables

2018-11-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121327

Bug ID: 121327
Summary: Support multi-colored fonts using CBDT/SBIX tables
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: shanshandehongx...@outlook.com

Description:
This is similar to bug 104403, but for fonts with CBDT/sbix tables instead
(https://docs.microsoft.com/zh-cn/typography/opentype/spec/cbdt
https://docs.microsoft.com/zh-cn/typography/opentype/spec/sbix). This might be
a trickier as instead of rendering layered glyphs with different colors we will
need to render raster graphics. We already have decent raster image support,
but LibreOffice doesn’t make use of it from a low level as text rendering in
VCL. Since HarfBuzz got support in version 2.1.0, it’s possible to render color
glyphs via accessing these tables.

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121326] New: Tab navigation should skip toolboxes with no enabled or visible items

2018-11-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha1+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED

Properties panel tab stop test file

To repro:

1) open the attached impress file
2) open the side bar (Menu > View > Sidebar)
3) mouse click on the Properties deck tab in the sidebar tab bar
4) mouse click on the smiley face or oval shape in the test document
5) mouse click on Paragraph panel title in the sidebar
focus rectangle is around Paragraph panel title
6) Tab Tab Tab
Window version - focus moves to write direction toolbox with no visible items.
Linux version - focus moves to write direction toolbox with no enabled items.
7) Tab
Windows version - focus moves to vertical alignment toolbox as expected
Linux version - focus moves back to horizontal alignment toolbox as can be seen
by pressing the Left Arrow key

Expected results - Tab navigation should skip toolboxes with no enabled or
visible items

The bug here may be that the Paragraph properties panel toolboxes are not
behaving correctly based on the current selection context.
Even so, tab navigation should move over toolboxes if there are no visible or
enabled items.

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in

The link to the documentation does not work because the final ")" is omitted

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121325] New: 4-argument form of Mid() BASIC function broken in 6.x (worked in 4.x and OO)

2018-11-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121325

Bug ID: 121325
Summary: 4-argument form of Mid() BASIC function broken in 6.x
(worked in 4.x and OO)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.3.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: BASIC
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jim.av...@gmail.com

Description:
The 4-argument form of the BASIC instruction Mid(str, start, len, repl) is
supposed to replace the selected sub-string with the specified replacement
text. However starting with 6.1 it produces the wrong result if the
replacement text is shorter than the selected text: the extra characters are
not deleted.

Note: The documentation says that the replacement text will be truncated if it
is *longer* than the specified substring. However it is allowed to be shorter,
in which case the extra character(s) should be deleted.

Documentation is at

https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/BASIC_Guide/Strings_(Runtime_Library)
  [search for "replaces three"]

I will attach a spreadsheet with a small macro which demonstrates the bug.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open attached "MidBugDemo.ods" spreadsheet
2. Enable macros & run the macro at ->Standard->Module1->BugDemo
(detailed instructions are in the spreadsheet)

Actual Results:
MyString = "This was my text"
Mid(MyString, 6, 3, "is")
RESULT IS "This iss my text" (wrong)

Expected Results:
Should get "This is my text"

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121324] New: Writer 6.1 thru at least 5.4.4.2 cannot open docx files created by ver. 5.1 or MS Word

2018-11-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121324

Bug ID: 121324
Summary: Writer 6.1 thru at least 5.4.4.2 cannot open docx
files created by ver. 5.1 or MS Word
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.0.0.beta1
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: cochra...@aol.com

I have been working with LibreOffice Writer ver. 5.1 for about the last year
without a hitch. During the last few weeks I created a 20 page document and
saved it in docx format. I got a note saying that ver. 6 was now available, so
I decided to upgrade.

With ver 6.0 when I went back to my docx files created under ver 5.1 I had
either blank pages or a few overwritten lines at the top of the file. I thought
the files were somehow corrupted: not a pleasant thought. I had printed out the
file under ver 5.1 so used Adobe pdf converter to change it to docx format. I
fed this back to ver. 6.0 and it came in, understandably, with formatting
issues. I beat the files back into shape a page at a time in 6.0. Any docx
files created in 6.0 could be read by it, but none of those created by the
older ver 5.1. I also tried opening some older docx files created by MS Word
with ver. 6.0 and they were also blank or overprinted.

Today, I uninstalled ver. 6.0 and installed ver 5.4.4.2 only to discover
that it couldn't open docx files either. I uninstalled 5.4.4.2 and installed
vere. 5.1.3.2 and, Thank God!!!, I could read my docx files again. Obviously,
the file reading bug lies somewhere between ver. 5.1.3.2 and 5.4.4.2.

I listed the bug as critical because I have over 1,000 files I couldn't
read, but I still love the program and am confident you'll find and kill the
bug. In the interim, I'm happy using 5.1.3.2.

Thanks,
SMaitland

Trying with the Calc ver.6.1.3.2 draws Dashed-Line, not the Dotted-Line.

Thank you for the kind reply, and I'm sorry for late to reply back.
(I spent the time by facing to the another torouble about the macro-button,
and have been away from the mails.)

I thought that I had seen the Dotted-Line in the very old version.
I found that the meaning of the Dotted-Line sometimes includes the Dashed-Line,
by the internet dictionary.
If you make the spec. of the Line-type so, it's all right.

It gives the Calc the rich expressive force to add the dot-dot-...-Line to the
Line-types, I think and recommend.
(I wish I could help to edit the sources.)

Anyway, I'll use the short-Dashed-Line for the weak separators.

Thank you very much for your time.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121323] New: Crash dragging button after un-grouping compound group

2018-11-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121323

Bug ID: 121323
Summary: Crash dragging button after un-grouping compound group
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha1+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jim.av...@gmail.com

Description:
A crash occurs while dragging a button over a "frozen" spreadsheet row under
certain circumstances.

This happens every time with the attached spreadsheet ("crash.ods"), if a
(unrelated) group of buttons is first un-grouped. Somehow the act of
un-grouping the group makes a later button-drag crash. FWIW, the group is a
compound group created by grouping a row of buttons, then selecting that group
and another button and grouping the combination.

The demo was derived from a production spreadsheet developed using earlier LO
versions, so the crash might be due to backwards-compatibility issues (just
guessing).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open attached spreadsheet "crash.ods" (Disable macros if prompted)
2. View->Toolbars->Form Design: Checked
3. In the floating Form Design toolbar,
click the icon to enter Design Mode
4. Click in the YELLOW button, to select the large group
5. Rightclick->Group->Ungroup
6. Click somewhere else (de-selects the buttons)
7. Drag the GREEN button down towards the large group
(crash occurs when it passes the frozen row)

Actual Results:
Crash

Expected Results:
No crash

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121322] New: Paste with 'Dynamic Data Exchange' does not use DDE function but inserts file link

2018-11-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121322

Bug ID: 121322
Summary: Paste with 'Dynamic Data Exchange' does not use DDE
function but inserts file link
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha1+ Master
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rb.hensc...@t-online.de

Launch Calc and create files "source.ods" and "target.ods".
Write number 123 to cell B3 in "source.ods", save.
Click on cell B3 and copy to clipboard, e.g using the icon.
Go to document "target.ods" and click on cell A4. Then open the drop-down list
from "Paste" icon. Select item "Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE link)'.

Look in input bar.
You see something similar to ='file:///D:/Desktop/Quelle.ods'#$Sheet1.B3
It is a file link.

Expected: Something similar to
=DDE("soffice";"D:\Desktop\Quelle.ods";"Sheet1.B3")

If you drag with Ctrl+Shift, then a DDE link is generated. The DDE link
works as expected. Changes in the source file are automatically reflected in
the target file without need to press Strg+Shift+F9. Manually entering the
function DDE works too.

You might argue about using DDE (see bug 49327), but if it is labeled 'Dynamic
Data Exchange' it should use DDE funktion.

Suggestion: Provide both kind of links in the drop-down list of the insert
icon.

PDF exported from DOC in Word 2013

Interestingly both the DOC and the old DOCX show as two pages in Word 2013 for
me, the new DOCX even shows as 3 pages.

PDF export of the DOC is only a single page, though.

I can confirm that in Writer it's two pages in a recent daily build, though I'm
more concerned about the table spilling over to the right, which seems to be a
regression between 4.0 and 4.4, and could be bibisected (at this point the top
table isn't imported).

typing lag is a bit less in this version. However working with tables
(selecting text, putting the cursor to type, selecting another cell than the

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121321] New: Writer – Background – color errors

2018-11-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121321

Bug ID: 121321
Summary: Writer – Background – color errors
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.3.1 rc
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ica...@tutanota.com

Created attachment 146512
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=146512=edit
File with color errors

I created a document in odt format. It was supposed to have dark background and
bright text. I’ve attached the file to this bug report. View mode: web

I think I started the document with LibreOffice version: 6.1.3.1
Build ID: 1:6.1.3~rc1-1
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.18; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: group threaded
OS: Debian Buster (testing) – KDE desktop

I finished the edition of the document with LibreOffice version: 6.0.3.2
Build ID: 1:6.0.3-0ubuntu1
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: group
OS: Linux Mint Tara – Cinnamon desktop

Expected result:

Hard to say. There is something off on Windows too (horizontal borders a bit
fuzzy; not as crisp as before. See bug 121026).

The borders on the Mac looks like a table without borders

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.2.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: conrad.van.pruijs...@hotmail.com

Description:
Hi

On my mac in all the apps there is a special function.
When I hold down a key lets say the 'e' key, then I get a popup window.
And can i choose from a list of option, which special version I need.
By example è é ê ë ē ė or ę this is really handy.
Within libreoffice this default Mac function is not available.
It looks to me (but I am only a user ;-) easy to create and implement.
And will make a lot of people happy.

Is this a rfc that makes it to the development team?

With love

Conrad van Pruijssen

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121317] New: Libreoffice Viewer on Android breaks with lengthier files (not just slow but parts missing/appearing after minutes/excessive render errors/...)

2018-11-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121317

Bug ID: 121317
Summary: Libreoffice Viewer on Android breaks with lengthier
files (not just slow but parts missing/appearing after
minutes/excessive render errors/...)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: Android
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Android Viewer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jonas@thiem.email

Description:
Libreoffice Viewer on Android breaks with lengthier files. I tried to open a
DOCX that is long with about 400 pages, but otherwise quite simple (not a large
file, barely any images, simple layout, ...). This file not only loads up in
the desktop version on slower computers without issues, but editing is almost
snappy, even at the top of file where lots of things need to be possibly moved
down when you insert/type.

However, on LibreOffice, not only do I look at a white screen for many
minutes(!), afterwards, a few rectangles of the first page will pop in, some
pixelated, some missing, some swapped, some reverting to black - it looks like
a huge mess, and once I scroll down to page two, nothing again.

Scrolling is smooth, just the contents are affected.

Is there some fundamental design issue going on with everything loaded up into
one unified scrollable texture or something? (Bad idea even on a desktop GPU
for a 400 page document...) Whatever it is, it'd be nice if this could be
changed since this makes the viewer useless for non-trivial document lengths.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a lengthier document (300 pages minimum)
2. Scroll down expecting to see contents & text

Actual Results:
Scrolling is smooth, but I either see a white nothingness, black weird
rectangles, super pixelated unreadable parts or just a swapped out mess.

Expected Results:
I can see the document properly

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Affected release is 5.2.3.1/01ec8f3 from f-droid, which wasn't listed in the
Versions box.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 89232] Improvements to comments look and function

2018-11-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89232

Hi,

In Libre Office Online currently you can put a comment on an item, we use
Google Docs where you have threaded view that can be pulled up any time from
within the document and the ability for 'resolved' comments to stay in place.
That way you have a clear history of what has been discussed and can be
referred back to.

I submitted this as per https://github.com/nextcloud/richdocuments/issues/274
and was advised similar to this issue.

Is this possible?

Many thanks

Daniel

I added support for n_gettext plurals, which is an improvement over the past,
but can only handle one singlular/plural in the string, which isn't the case
for string mentioned in the original report. The only solution is to split the
string up into separately translatable components.

Lets rearrange that and see how it scans.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121284] Dictionary quality issues

2018-11-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121284

(In reply to NARAYAN from comment #6)
> The intent of this bug report is not just to fix one spelling mistake, but
> to evaluate the entire dictionary database to see where the words come from.

Yes, and I have just fixed it:
I added "pre" to the GB speller, so, if it is used with an hyphen, words won't
be flagged:
pre-test
pre-reform
pre-word

But I am only the GB maintainer, for the other spellers, please open a case in
Kevin Atkinson's GitHub:
https://github.com/en-wl/wordlist

Anyway, LibreOffice only updates the spellers in each major release, so this
will only be available in 6.3 since 6.2 has closed commits.

You can however download the OXT in January since I update every two months.
