Ctrl-Alt-1, Ctrl-Alt-3, ... can directly switch to certain Chinese input method, and then Ctrl-space can switch back to English. BTW, that's why the shortcut key "Ctrl-space" in Calc can not be used in CJK because it conflicts with our input method engine. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 100961] After inserting Fixed Date, and saving in DOC format, the date is not fixed anymore
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100961 --- Comment #13 from Mike Kaganski --- (In reply to Aron Budea from comment #12) > I checked what's possible in Word, and it appears Word inserts fixed dates > as a piece of text, and nothing else. Perhaps it's just an unsupported type > in DOC formats. However, in that case possibly the old behavior was the > correct one, which turned fixed dates into a piece of text - the fieldness > is removed, but the date remains fixed. Saving a test document to DOCX results in correct roundtrip (wrt this specific issue that is about const-ness of fields); Word also opens the generated DOCX with fields in it, having const values. Then, you can save the DOCX to DOC using Word, and get a DOC with const fields - so the DOC format supports the const date/time fields. But opening the resulting DOC (generated by Word) using LO gives non-const date/time fields - so it's at least import filter issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 122499] New: Reopening document changed & superimposed content
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122499 Bug ID: 122499 Summary: Reopening document changed & superimposed content Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+ Master Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: dpen...@gmail.com I was making a document principally by copying and pasting blocks of text from pages using the Brave browser. Each block of text was spellchecked, then converted to my preferred font, text size, and paragraph formatting immediately after pasting. After sleeping the computer, on waking and reopening the document a block of text in the original font and formatting when copied is superimposed on another portion of the text. It was not the most recent item on the clipboard. Trying to put the cursor after lines of the misplaced text does nothing. It did not change after closing and reopening the document. It carries over into the print preview. "Track Changes" is mostly grayed out. Re-sleeping did not change it either. It has been autosaved several times before this happened. I have no idea how to fix, or troubleshoot it. Not knowing how it occurred and never having seen it before, I don't know how to reproduce it for a test document. Please note that due to sensitive proprietary content in the document I cannot submit the original. Should it reoccur in another document I will submit it if possible. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 50699] Template Changer: Allow ability to change a document's associated template
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50699 --- Comment #64 from Jon Grossart --- The main reasons to relink a document to the a different template (besides the ones where it doesn't link to a new change -- and I've definitely had template links get broken even with the template still exists) if you occasionally change your default template and want old documents to be easily updated to the new format. Currently, that involves: 1. load the styles from another document 2. create a document from the new template 3. copy and paste over so that the correct styles are supplied If you just copy and paste the text over, you either keep the old text (because it keeps the extra formatting on top of the style version) or you past unformatted, but then you need to go back and fix everything. For me, I run a small business, and there are times when I want to keep a document linked to header from a specific time, but then easily copy the document over and update to the new header as well. Think for things like generating reports and such. I need to keep both header templates around, not just change the base one. As mentioned, writer and Impress probably need this the most, but other apps can benefit from it as well. And seeing as how the basic functionality is already in LibO (since it can update styles) and it would help give parity to Word/MS Office (which can use Quick Styles which is essentially super fast template switching with preview -- but there is an enhancement request for that), I don't see why there so much against this request. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
