https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126186 --- Comment #1 from Mike Kaganski --- Please provide a sample document to reproduce this. Sorry for your lost document, but we'd need the original document and the final changes you'd made to it to be able to tell anything. Should note that LibreOffice does not natively work with OOXML or MS Binary formats. Those formats must be imported via filter into the LibreOffice application. Then on saving our "native" supported format of ODF will give the best fidelity to the document when reopened into LibreOffice. As discovered using OOXML (e.g. .docx) to directly save to can have formatting issues when reopened back into MS Office product like Word. Save first to ODF (e.g. .odt), and then make a copy as OOXML. Eventually, I downloaded the installer from the former since it contained the latest one. In any case, I’m now on 6.4.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) and here are my results: - Time to open the file: 1m36s (compared to 3m51s on 6.2.4). - Time to save the file: 2m18 (compared to 3m03s on 6.2.4). And here are my observations: - Both operations are significantly faster on 6.4.0.0 than on current 6.2.4. - For the first time since I began testing the issue, saving the document takes longer than opening it. - There is still no progress bar to indicate how long the operation will take. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126176] Portuguese UI and dictionaries: AO (Acordo Ortográfico da Língua Portuguesa de 1990) and pre-AO
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126176 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added Summary|Portuguese translation: AO |Portuguese UI and |and PRE-AO |dictionaries: AO (Acordo ||Ortográfico da Língua ||Portuguesa de 1990) and ||pre-AO CC||olivier.hallot@libreoffice. ||org --- Comment #6 from V Stuart Foote --- Personally, I'm not a fan. Not as an objection to supporting non-Standards body compliant localizations or archaic forms, rather over issues of implementation and sustainability. The history and applicability of the changes are widley known [1][2]. By locale, claims of "majority" not using standards will quickly fade as irrelevant. Support becomes an academic endeavor. As to localization supporting CPLC members, their "Instituto Internacional da Língua Portuguesa" (IILP) seems to be becoming the CPLC's standards body, and provides localization / orthographic variations [3] appropriate in context of the AO. Fertile ground for preparing "standards" (CPLC) compliant localization. IMHO => WF (of course motivated volunteers with an interest are always welcome to tackle it). =-ref-= [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reforms_of_Portuguese_orthography [2] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portuguese_Language_Orthographic_Agreement_of_1990 [3] http://voc.iilp.cplp.org/ -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
