Windows Settings->System->Display->Scale and Layout->change it from 100% to another value, and restart installer. Attached is side-by-side screenshot of the dialog on 175% scaling vs. 100%. It's apparent that dialog itself, fonts, radio buttons, and top banner have scaled accordingly; while the icons stay as they were (they keep the same pixel size, not relative size). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 138872] New: FORMATTING: Currency format should display $0.00 instead of -$0.00 or $(0.00)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138872 Bug ID: 138872 Summary: FORMATTING: Currency format should display $0.00 instead of -$0.00 or $(0.00) Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.1.5.2 release Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: ralacr...@hydro.mb.ca Description: The summary says it all. Argument 1: If a number is close enough to zero, to call it zero for currency purposes, the sign of the insignificant digits shouldn't matter. It's not like we already know where a minus sign arises in a series of calculations. For example enter this formula: =23281.51-119.78-23161.73 in one cell and in another cell enter these same values in a different order with this formula: =23281.51-23161.73-119.78 You would expect the signs to be the same when you apply currency formatting to these numbers, no? Argument 2: Let's show some consistency between the "Format as Currency" tool and the "Format as Number" tool. For a number like -.0001 displayed with 2 decimal places, the currency format shows a minus sign while the number format does not. Only when the user adds enough decimal places does the number format change the displayed sign from positive to negative. Argument 3: Let's promote sanity where we can sanely control it. This is just a display formatting choice, folks. If I really care about having zero in that cell because another calculation depends on it, then I will use the ROUND() function. I shouldn't have to obsessively use the ROUND() function to change the display formatting. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enter -.0001 into a cell. 2. Select the cell containing the number. 3. Click on the "Format as Currency" tool (or Ctrl+Shift+4). Observe the value is displayed as -$0.00 3. Click on the "Format as Number" tool (or Ctrl+Shift+1). Observe the value is displayed as 0.0 without a sign. The minus sign appears when you add enough decimal places. Actual Results: First I asked myself why I still prefer to use LO Calc over Excel. Then tried this same experiment in MS 365 Excel and it's exactly the same result. Even those sums. Then I remembered that we can have the power to make LO Calc better than Excel. Expected Results: I expected LO Calc to be better than Excel. And the currency formatting to work like number formatting regarding sign and precision. Unless there's international standard that says otherwise. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 6.1.5.2 Build ID: 1:6.1.5-3+deb10u6 CPU threads: 12; OS: Linux 4.19; UI render: default; VCL: x11; Locale: en-CA (en_CA.utf8); Calc: group threaded -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84949 --- Comment #6 from QA Administrators --- Dear Ashok kumar, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 136220] Long fields lose its part on page end if external text updated

Correcting the original message: Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the attached file. 2. Try to append text on page 2 - part of the field disappears. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 138871] New: Cannot independently set color, font, Etc. of numbering of multiple lists
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138871 Bug ID: 138871 Summary: Cannot independently set color, font, Etc. of numbering of multiple lists Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.3.1 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: donnelly.jf...@gmail.com Description: I'm using the Numbered List feature with multiple lists with different font, color, etc. in the same document, with the list numbering to match the format of the list lines it's applied to. This works if I highlight the text of the list who's format I want to change and change it by selecting the new format from the toolbar; the list numbering format changes with the list. However, if I click on the list numbering (it becomes highlighted gray) and select the new colour, font, or size, this changes the format of all the list numbering in the entire document, and this is irreversible. All the list numbering in the document assumes the newly chosen format, and can no longer be formatted by highlighting and formatting the list. There is now no way to independently format the numbering of differently formatted lists. This is not reversed by the undo button. I was only able to get around this issue by copy/pasting as plain text into a fresh document. I took me a while to figure this out. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create 2 numbered lists in a document, each with different colour text. 2.Click on the list numbering on one list to highlight it gray and then select a new color. Actual Results: The format of the list numbering you did not highlight changes too, and it is now impossible to make the numbering of differently formatted lists match the format of their respective lists. The undo button does not undo this issue. Expected Results: The changing the numbering format in this way should not permanently force all list numbering in the document to use the same format. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: Fedora 33, Thinkpad P50 Version: 7.0.3.1 Build ID: 00(Build:1) CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.9; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded Happenes with hardware acceleration toggled on and off Tried resetting user profile -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Both that they > > are enabled, but also as passed into a replacement font. > > Stuart, could you rephrase that? I don't understand what's the point with > Graphite and OpenType fonts wrt the replacement table. If font features are enabled (via the Graphite appended tag mechanism) are they passed through to the replacement font? And what happens when the replacement font has no support for a particular smart font feature? Likewise, for the target font and replacement, should there be a difference between the core font and a font with its features enabled. IIUC currently we only handle the core font as target and as replacement. For example a text run in Writer in Time New Roman with Small Caps set with :smcp flag. The flag can be added to the listbox entry for the target font, but then the font will not be found. While a replacement of Time New Roman with :smcp set with Biolinum G will keep the :smcp feature formatting. But replacement with Liberation Serif will not. But this is an aside to what Jan-Marek is poking at here regards the GUI, with the enabling check box being below the font target and replacement table. And what difference between the apply 'Always' and 'Screen only' checkboxes. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50786 --- Comment #10 from Robert Lacroix --- I think a more general approach would be to allow regular expression matching to ignore parts of a sort string. Calc is already most of the way there since the Find and Replace feature has regular expression matching as an option. For people who don't know how to use regular expressions, add a modifiable list of common patterns to choose from, similar to what we have for date formats. My bug is very simple. I click somewhere on my table row to select it. It has four columns. Two checkboxes, two text columns. Every time the row is clicked anywhere, the leading check box is toggled. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138865 --- Comment #3 from V Stuart Foote --- Sorry, guess what I meant was that it was intentional for handling treelist items with checkbox and labels, that selecting the label should select the checkbox. It didn't use to. But IIUC since the Treelists were all welded and "consolidated" into vcl/treelist dialogs with treelist checkboxes and list items like the Font replacment table are also going to have the full entry selected including the first checkbox as here. It's just silly. Additionally, when user has already started the installer, it's surely too late to tell "Oh, you had that strange idea that we kept requirement to uninstall previous version top secret, and had uninstalled it? Too bad, you needed not to do that". We only must have full requirements on our download page, and various wikis. No need to list infinite list of what is not required. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 138844] UI: Label "type" & Image in the image properties dialog not really helpful (self-explaining)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138844 --- Comment #3 from Telesto --- (In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #2) In principle pro harmonization and sharing (although writer having some dedicated settings like wrap/anchoring) But I think this not simply limited to GUI and also requiring harmonization of internals: From: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107843#c3 -- "Impress 8" produces an OLE. There crop is not needed, because it is done by the frame. "Drawing Format" produces a shape. In Draw/Impress the command .uno:GrafAttrCrop contains the cropping. This command is not available in Writer. Therefore not the original image is inserted, but an image that only has the part, that remains after cropping. --> Feature request: Implement .uno:GrafAttrCrop for those shapes, that would be able to be cropped in Draw/Impress and then insert the shape in original size and crop it. "GDI" contains an image wrapped into a vector format. "Bitmap" contains an image directly. Both "GDI" and "Bitmap" contain only the part, that remains after cropping. That has always been this way, so I would say it is more a feature request than a bug. I think, that the current behavior can be improved. The images can be inserted in original size and the same cropping as in Draw/Impress can then be applied automatically. For such images cropping is available in Writer as part of .uni:GraphicDialog. I don't know, whether the clipboard already contains the needed information. Cropping is part of the style of family "Graphic" in file format. LibreOffice distinguishes between images as shapes and Writer-images, but nevertheless uses the same kind of style in file format, only naming one "gr" and the other "fr". Currently this distinction is necessary, because the capabilities of "Draw-Images" and "Writer-Images" are different. The aim should be, to get rid of "Writer-Images". This issue belongs to this aim, regardless of naming it "bug" or "feature request". --- -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

It has many styles. When I save it as ".docx", and look at it in MS Word 2016 on my MacBook Pro running macOS 10.15.7 many of the styles have all-tofu for their names. I created a simple file using the default styles using LOW 7.0.3.1 and saved it as .docx. It too has a lot of tofu (white rectangles) for the names of the styles in the Styles Pane. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 138841] Windows installer display tiny icon under high resolution
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138841 --- Comment #5 from Mike Kaganski --- (In reply to Roman Kuznetsov from comment #4) MSI does not support SVGs. I would not be so sure before evaluating. In theory, ICO has a potential advantage of supporting *several* resolutions in a single file; and it *possibly* could allow us to have it automatically choose proper resolution icon for each screen resolution - without the ugly stretching, having pixel-perfect result. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 138861] When upgrading (large or small), explicitly recommend whether or not to uninstall previous version
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138861 --- Comment #1 from Mike Kaganski --- It's unreasonable. It only makes sense to list what *need* to be done, not what is *not required*. It's not required to uninstall anything, that's why it's not mentioned. Also it's not required to put a specific desktop wallpaper, buy specific snacks, etc. The possible list of "what is not needed" is infinite, and if a user somehow decides to think "it doesn't ask me to uninstall; what if it's still needed?", it's some wrong set of mind.
