[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118418] Should implemented scrollto, scrolltopoint, scrollsubstringto, scrollsubstringtopoint
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118418 --- Comment #9 from Samuel Thibault --- Hello, Just to make it clear: I would say that before spending money on this issue, the real remaining needs should be assessed. Ideally we'd have scroll* support on all scrollable widgets of course, but in practice we don't really need it on all of them, far from it. In orca for instance, it is essentially used when requesting to speak a whole text. So it is really needed only on the document itself and in textview pieces of dialog boxes. The current support is already enough for various use cases, notably it works for the document. Before planning to invest money on completing the support for other widgets, I would say to first check which pieces of the interface the users are still lacking support for. Possibly the current support is already really fine, and it's better to prioritize other tasks. Restoring the accessibility tests comes to my mind as a high priority. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141229 --- Comment #6 from Orwel --- I can confirm, that also MS Word 2010 shows the text correctly. But I think it is something with LO export, because I noticed this behavior only few hours ago when I posted another Bug 141228 - for me this seems to have some connection with the wrong export of highlight text, because I use LO and MS beside for years and never noticed such a behavior. If it would be a bug between MS 2003/2010 and 2019, then the same text created in MS Word 2003/2010 and opened in 2019 should bring the same result, which does not happened. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 141226] When the installer is used to update an existing installation to a newer version, it should just update using the existing configuration.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141226 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added See Also||https://bugs.documentfounda ||tion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54 ||242 CC||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- Comment #1 from V Stuart Foote --- There is only so much hand holding we can do. Simply put DO NOT UPDATE LibreOffice (or any Windows program for that matter) when it has components running (here the soffice.bin of the core LO program, a common gotcha with the Quick Start open). We could add additional MS Installer MSI logic to check for running application--but beyond that NOT A BUG. As to an enhancement, not much value in trying to make this facet of UI seamless--more to the point is solving incremental updates as for bug 54242 IMHO => WF -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
