Also crashes with Server Installation of Version: 4.0.0.3 WIN10
Build-ID 7545bee9c2a0782548772a21bc84a9dcc583b89; Special devUserProfile

REPRODUCIBLE with Installation of Version 7.2.4.1 (x64) / LibreOffice

normal User Profile

a) I did some more research concerning reasons and details, selected a range
form
Top of a page tobottom of page:
26-52 B
38-52 nb
32-52 nb
29-52 nb
28-52 B

28-40 nb
28-46 nb

nb means: no bug reproducible
B means: Bug REPRODUCIBLE, will not delete page contents

28-51,5 nb
28-59,99 nb
It is necessary to include very last line of page contents to see "no deletion"

Finally I saw that it is necessary to include area from caret position behind
Heading "Anglesey (AGY) Parishes" (page 28) to very last line to reproduce the
problem.

b) For a test area where the bug is reproducible
b1) The part "copy to clipboard" for works fine: you can
paste highlighted contents to a different document
b2) but there is no deletion and so no visible change
b3) Also and then will show the bug
b4 So it seems that the core of the bug is"Deletion of selected range with
pages 28 ... END of document does not work with enabled change tracking
c) Problem seems not related to active page header ad page footer.
Bug is also reproducible with reporter's sample document with disabled
page footer and disabled page header

d) seems not to be a general problem, but related to some very particular
properties of the sample document. I copied complete

to a blank new document: not reproducible

e) I don't know what exactly causes the problem.

OTOH, simply having a specific decoration for the missing font in the preview

P.S. Two more clarifications:
1. I meant not adding, rather changing art-x-interslv to art-Latn-x-interslv.
Maybe I did not formulate it well, so I am reiterating to be on the safe side.
2. Would you need help with providing a list of translations for the entry? I
mean like:

Wow, thanks a lot for adding the codes directly! Huge thanks from our
volunteers team!

As for the idea with adding an explicit `art-Latn-x-interslv` code - well, it
sounds reasonable, as the official site of Interslavic language states:

> Both orthographies are equal, and in published texts, it deserves
> recommendation to provide versions in both Latin and Cyrillic, so that they
> can be understood on both sides of the frontier.

If it is not too late, I'd say that it is indeed better to add an explicit
Latin script extension. Thanks in advance!

1. You may enter any name into the box, and it will be "used" and substituted
on the system where that name is missing, and will be saved. Adding document
fonts to the list is IMO wrong, since using "italics" is not enough to
disambiguate the font from other fonts also using "preview" in drop-down.

2. You also may use Carlito, and the Carlito will be used as main font, but
Calibri will be also written to the file as fallback - since LO knows about
that.

WF IMO...

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 36709] For first line indent using Ch (Characters) as unit, the indent value should change when font-size changes

2021-12-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36709

By the way, with the fix for bug 129448 (patch currently under review:
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/125627), the first line indent will not
be effected by line space, thus when first line indent is set to Auto, then it
will always be precisely 2-characters indent, and the indent will be updated
upon font size change.

*This* bug is a little different as it only relates to when the "Use character
units" option is enabled and one inputs an first line indent of e.g. "2 Ch" in
the Paragraph Properties dialog. In other words, this bug is about the manually
set first line indent, not Auto first line indent.

Dear Fabien08FR,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to

- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

The fix for this is already in the code. The same function used to assign sort

Eike Rathke committed a patch related to this issue.
It has been pushed to "libreoffice-7-3":

https://git.libreoffice.org/core/commit/c25067e46d7d849a584295de365e32c6c7af11bf

Resolves: tdf#145853 Add Interslavic Latin|Cyrillic to language list

It will be available in 7.3.0.0.beta2.

The patch should be included in the daily builds available at
https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/ in the next 24-48 hours. More
information about daily builds can be found at:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Testing_Daily_Builds

Affected users are encouraged to test the fix and report feedback.

In LibreOffice Draw, I created the shape. Then I copy+pasted that to my ODT
document. Then I moved around the XML a bit. The XML you see in the file are
legitimate XML generated by LibreOffice, and edits if any are "minor" or
"minimal".

Btw, you need to copy+paste the drawing from LibreOffice Draw UI, as opposed to
inserting the Draw file in to LibreOffice writer. Copy+pasting with clipboard
will only copy over the shape with relevant parameters, but inserting a draw
object will also copy over the page size of the draw object.

I can reproduce this on Fedora 34 on current master branch, gtk3 Wayland.

I can only select a "spacing" or "overlap" value using mouse-click. It is not
possible to type in a number manually. This means that to select a value of 0 I
need to click the spin button 100 times.

When you open a document with missing fonts (eg. it using Calibri on a system
that doesn't have MS Office installed), the font name is shown in italic in the
font picker. However that font can't be set, if a piece of text is in a
different font, the other font won't appear in the font picker.

Since you might want to pass a file between LibreOffice and MS Office, it'd be
nice if the user was allowed to freely "use" those missing fonts, and then when
opened in Word, those changes will appear in the familiar font.

Or one could even set up their font substitution table for the common MS fonts
they want to use regularly, and in LO those font names could appear in the font
list and be used even when starting an empty document.

@Heiko
Me confused why "Keep with next paragraph" matters here. Help says: "Keeps the
current paragraph and the following paragraph together when a break or column
break is inserted."

This doesn't really add up with the behaviour seen here, in my perception. But
well this bit of aregular use of headings.. so no clue about the bigger purpose

I believe this report should be marked NOTABUG or INVALID.

Correct code would be like the following.
===

Option Explicit
Option VBASupport 1 ' without this line vbYesNoCancel is not defined.

Sub Message_Box_Test
dim iResponse as Integer
dim strNotes as String

' Correct Enum member would be vbYesNoCancel, not YESNOCANCEL
' Also, I added colon to indicate named parameter.
iResponse = MsgBox("Are there special notes that need to be added to
this report?", Buttons:= vbYesNoCancel, "Special Notes")
If iResponse = 7 Then
MsgBox "No"
ELSEIF iResponse = 2 Then
Exit Sub
ELSE
strNotes = inputBox("Enter the special notes as they should
appear:", "Special Notes")
END IF

msgBox strNotes
End Sub

Could confirm BaseDocumenter doesn't document internal Firebird databases.
Works only with HSQLDB.

Documenting Firebird database quits with
BASIC-RuntimeError.
Property or method not found: ConnectionInfo.

This part of the code is marked:
SetProperty("JavaDriverClass",

… no wonder.

Tested with LO 7.2.5.1 on OpenSuSE 15.2 64bit rpm Linux.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 144639] PARAGRAPH: Impossible to set a precise paragraph indent

2021-12-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=144639

The cause seems to be the conversion of measurements - whether inch,
millimeter, point - into what I assume to be twip unit. Rounding performed
after the calculation changes the measurements. Therefore, the result of the
operation is not equal to what is displayed on the screen. To summarize:

A (mm) + B (mm) = C (mm)

but after conversion and rounding:

A (twip) + B (twip) ≠ C (twip)

I don't know what to think about it considering that the use of twip
measurement unit is not even proposed for LibreOffice documents. The
enhancement proposed in bug #138109 could be the solution to this issue.

Navigator accepts non numeric characters, page navigation dialog does not.

UX should decide which is correct behavior. My opinion: reject non numerics.

Indeed, I would expect consistent behavior.

4.0.0 did not accept non numeric characters
