[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 58440] EDITING: moving columns/rows with <alt+drag> overwrites instead of ousting
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58440 --- Comment #38 from LC--- Using a Mac - alt/option copies, but doesn't move the rows/columns. Any idea when this will be fixed or is this not perceived as a problem? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 58440] EDITING: moving columns/rows with <alt+drag> overwrites instead of ousting
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58440 --- Comment #37 from moln...@gmx.net --- I can confirm this behavior on LibreOffice Version: 6.0.2.1 on Mac. Since making a copy by pressing the option-key (also named 'alt'-key) is commonly used in Mac OSX system-wide, it makes sense that a column also gets copied that way. But if I press option+command while pasting in Finder for instance: then it moves the previously selected file there. On the other hand: in Numbers app moving columns works simply by pressing and holding the primary mouse button on the column title and then drag and drop it to the desired destination. I would suggest that way as the most intuitive way to do it in LibreOffice on Mac. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58440 --- Comment #35 from Iain--- I can confirm that this still exists in LibreOffice Version: 5.4.0.3 on MacOs 10.12.6 Dragging a column as described, while holding the alt key results in the column being copied rather than moved. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58440 --- Comment #34 from cpohle--- Confirm the bug still exists in 5.3.3 on macOS. Dragging with CTRL+ALT copies instead of moves a column, although no "+" icon is shown next to the mouse cursor. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present on a currently supported version of LibreOffice (5.2.7 or 5.3.3 https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the version of LibreOffice and your operating system, and any changes you see in the bug behavior If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a short comment that includes your version of LibreOffice and Operating System Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to "inherited from OOo"; 4b.
