Re: [Libreoffice-qa] Evaluating first 3.5.0 Bug-Hunt Session

2012-01-05 Thread Cor Nouws

Hi Rainer, all,

Rainer Bielefeld wrote (30-12-11 10:12)

As far as I understood, general BugZilla activity was about two, three
times as much as normal. 60-80 issues touched against 30 on an avarage
day.

I reworked it a little

In the mean time I had a mail from Rainer (thanks!) explaining that 91
bugreports have been submitted those days. And form those 28 from new users.

I have tried to get bulk-data from BugZilla about assignment of the
issues from Dec. 28 and 29 as most annoying.

- Sadly, I cannot add the field 'Blocks' as column in a report.
- And the field 'Depends on' form fdo#37361 shows as last four numbers
43837, 43856, 43867, and 44093. Whereas our list from Dec. 28/29 starts
with number 44203. (1)
So from the information there I have to conclude that only one is added
as 3.5.0 most annoying.
Which can indicate two things: less wrong with 3.5.0 , and/or issues not
yet looked at.

Speaking for myself: I am quite happy with the quality so far (for the
time in the process) but haven't looked a lot at the issues yet.
Even more: some 5-10 notes from myself wait for a moment to be changed
in issues in BugZilla...

I have save the query that I used (which strange enough only shows 80
issues ;-) as BHS-350-1 and made available under the Saved searched in
Preferences for people with Edit rights.

Hope to have time to do some more BugZilla work next days.
What is the idea if others?

( 1) Could it be that the field 'Depends on' has difficulty in handling
the large amount of numbers? I am quite confident that I added 44219 to
that field too, but it is not listed... )

Cheers,

why didn't you just update the existing page? (just wondering - so we now have
two pages, and nobody will know which is the actual one?)

[Libreoffice-qa] QA-Team Web page

2012-01-05 Thread Rainer Bielefeld

Hi all,

compared to other active LibreOffice teams, User-QA currently has a very
rare Web page [1] with few, outdated and not inviting contents. So we
should improve the current page.

I started a new QA-Team Page [2], what should
- be up to date
- give an overview concerning active User QA Members
  and our main activities
- Help to find experts if own skills are not
  sufficient for a particular problem
- annonuce events
- invite "normal" users to join Bug confirming activity

My work load will not leave much time for design of that page, and
unfortunately "Web design" is one of my least skills.

So you all should feel invited to create a "shop window" presenting our
activity.

Kind regards

Rainer

Hi Thorsten,

Installation on Ubuntu 10.04 x86 with langpack and help FR : no problem
All modules seem to work as expected. More tests later.

Best regards.

Great, thanks for testing!

Yes, when I was collecting the localized URLs, I asked the l10n people
both for the pre-release as well as the final release URLs, and both is
covered in the code. If it does not offer the final URL when the 3.5.0
final is available, it is a bug - please ping me in that case.

Thank you,
Kendy

[Libreoffice-qa] [ANN] LibreOffice 3.4.5 RC2 test builds available

2012-01-05 Thread Thorsten Behrens
Hi *,

for 3.4.5 RC2, we're now uploading builds to a public (but
non-mirrored - so don't spread news too widely!) place, as soon as
they're available. Grab them here:

http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/

If you've a bit of time, please give them a try & report *critical*
bugs not yet in bugzilla here, so we can incorporate them into the
release notes. Please note that it takes approximately 24 hours to
populate the mirrors, so that's about the time we have to collect
feedback.

The list of fixed bugs vs. 3.4.5 RC1 is available here

http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/src/bugfixes-libreoffice-3-4-5-release-3.4.5.2.log

, it would be nice to verify they're really fixed in the build.

Thanks a lot for your help,
