Much higher capacity than the standard panasonic plus in my opinion better quality (I don't like panasonic batteries anyway:): http://www.maxxprod.com/mpi-7.htm Okay... I wonder if this 18.3mm diameter is what is helping get the 2000mAh. I'm guessing it took you a while to locate these, and you went with what you found. If there are any 16mm cells with that power rating, they're probably hiding out there in the tangle that is the web is they exist at all. Yes its usually how capacity is improved...the battery is made bigger at first. These actually seem to have improved capacity too since the runtime was twice as long. There was some argument they wouldn't fit because they were thicker than the standard panasonic 18.3mm as opposed the 16mm. However I ordered some to try since the 1200 mAh pack I had for my 70CT was shot and I wanted a 2000 mAh pack in the standard size since I didn't like the way the 2400 mAH pack stuck out and the 1200 mAh had too short battery life. Yeah... I finally got one of the bigger batteries myself. But I still lov the way the system looks with the smaller battery. The idea of packing mo power in the standard battery pack sounds very appealing! From what you've written if I recall correctly, you must have cut off the entire top of the battery pack to be able to squeeze those 18.3mm dia. cel Yes. It is wide enough but not tall enough. in there. 2.3mm is a significant amount of extra space to have to provide Was there much or any extra space available with the original cells in there? About 2 or 2.1 mm from the top of the 16 mm batteries to the bottom of the libretto case. You wrote: I took one more look at the pack and how it fit into the compartment and looks like if a person simply used a dremal tool and opened the top so th batteries can rest against the libretto case the pack'll fit just like a regular 1200 mAh. Even the two protrusions on the side which keep the battery from sagging and straining the connector will go right in place. Nobody would know the pack is any differant unless you took it out. However I can't finish mine off with this because I broke my top when I took it off I'm not clear on what you were going to do with the top of the battery cas It sounds like you purposely removed it to provide enough space to get those 18.3mm cells in there... no? The very top needs to be opened up so the 2AH batteries go through it. The correct pronunciation is muse-see-leev-ich Accent on the 2nd syllable? Man... how do you deal with getting people to pronounce that one!? By grade school, it must have gotten pretty old. :-0 M. _ Join the world-s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com ** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ - Archives ---TO UNSUBSCRIBE--- Reply to any of the list messages. H Re: Enhanced Port Replicator Hissing Noise
Date: Mon, 12 Mar 2001 08:14:41 -0800 From: "Regis Lee" [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: H Re: Enhanced Port Replicator Hissing Noise You guys are crazy. how could it be a snake? Don't you all realize that his Libretto is leaking air? I've had to troubleshoot this before and here's what you do: 1) Take 6 feet of duct tape (make sure its grey to match the libby's colors) 2) wrap duct tape around the libretto and the port replicator. Making sure all ports/holes are covered. 3) This should be enough to prevent air from escaping your system. 4) You'll also realize that when the internal pressure of the port replicator falls below 5 psi, you'll get the BSOD. 5) If you do get the BSOD, uncover the PS/2 port and blow really hard 10 times, then cover up the port really quickly keeping the air escaped a minimum. Then re-boot your computer. ta-daa fixed libby... sincerely, your libby tech, Regis - Original Message - From: "neil barnes" [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: "Libretto" [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, March 12, 2001 8:09 AM Subject: Re: Enhanced Port Replicator Hissing Noise Date: Mon, 12 Mar 2001 16:00:58 From: "neil barnes" [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Enhanced Port Replicator Hissing Noise From: David VanHorn [EMAIL PROTECTED] Reply-To: Libretto [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Libretto [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Enhanced Port Replicator Hissing Noise Date: Mon, 12 Mar 2001 07:49:52 -0800 Date: Mon, 12 Mar 2001 10:42:27 -0500 From: David VanHorn [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Enhanced Port Replicator Hissing Noise At 08:34 AM 3/11/01 -0800, Marc @ American Elevator wrote: Date: Sun, 11 Mar 2001 08:29:21 -0800 From: "Marc @ American Elevator" [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Enhanced Port Replicator Hissing Noise Has anyone ever discovered the remedy for the hissing sound that comes from the 110CT's speaker when using the EPR?
