Hi Matteo.
As far as I know this is how it works.
I asked weeks ago if there's any chance to change setuid in order to
control how the files are created in the host, but at the moment I
didn't get a reply.
Cheers.

Hi.
I guess the best way to proceed here is to explain a little bit how do you
want your networking setup. You csn have a subnet for VM's and Hypervisor,
you can have NAT, you can have bridge. Do you want to leave IP addresses
and routes to Operating System or do you prefer to leave it to KVM?

Can somebody please confirm if the url to install an Ubuntu Server is

If not kindly provide the right one. I want to perform a net installation,

Bonjour Guillaume.
There's a particular reason to compile libvirt rather than install the
package for Ubuntu Server? And, there's a particular reason to use LXC?
I'm not an expert, but if you just want to start using KVM and install a VM
I can help you through a simpler method.

Hi Martin.
Can you please share the string that you use to invoke virt-manager?
I use this one:
virt-manager -c qemu+ssh://user@kvm/system?netcat=netcatsocket
And in the KVM hypervisor server I edited /bin/netcatsocket with below
content:
#!/bin/bash
socat - unix-client:$2

would say something
obvious: some kind of network problem.

Hi.
In case that you didn't did it already, and assuming TCP as transport
protocol, maybe you can try a 'tpdump -i any' and grepping by IP address of
'source' machine on 'destination' machine to make sure that there's
connectivity between machines.

Hi all.
I re-installed my KVM server with Debian stable again (squeeze) and it
works again (libvirt-bin 0.8.3-5+squeeze5).
I'll fill a bug with Debian, because maybe libvirt-bin 0.9.12-11 has
some kind of bug.
PD: I'm using RAID 1 software

Hi all.
I was using libvirt under Debian squeeze (I guess it was
0.8.3-5+squeeze4 or something similar). I was able to clone machines
with below command:
sudo virt-clone --connect=qemu:///system -o template -n
template_clone -f /var/lib/libvirt/images/template_clone.qcow2

I do suggest standard SNMP.
You should install on all the way: guest + hypervisor + router.
I can provide more info in a private e-mail if you want, since my
solution has nothing to do with libvirt.

Good morning.
Apart from accessing the guest's resources usage from virt-manager
GUI, there's any other advantage to use this layer rather than use
standard OS CPU usage via SNMP OID agent?
