Sorry,I had overlooked this option:
(make sure that Use cygwin is checked in the options.)

I had to change some \ to / manually in jEdit plugin options.
Now I get this message:

I've just downloaded an upgrade of version 2.5.29
for windows (from 2.4.3), but can't install it properly; the Cygwin setup only
gives me the option to uninstall, keep or reinstall version 2.4.3. I've
re-downloaded the setup programme, uninstalled LilyPond and tried to reinstall,

hanging?
on macos 10.3.9 the binaries for lilypond 2.5.29 and 2.5.30 just hang
when i drag and drop something on the icon. they give me the little
rotating wheel which never goes away.
the 2.5.28 binary works perfectly.

I'm trying to learn lilypond via Studio to GO which at the moment
distributes 2.2x lilypond.
One thing I cannot decipher/find is how to get the title of the piece
onto each page. It seems that there is a limit on the footer so it
cannot go clear across the bottom of the page and
(...i meant the 2.5.27 works perfectly. i never downloaded the 2.5.28)

tetex-extra package.

You read the manual section 10.1.5 Vertical spacing. It's in the
output formats, paper output section. How was that difficult
to find?
