Are you talking about the printed page or just the .pdf file on the screen?
Sometimes the barlines on the screen look awful in different pdf viewers but
then they look right when printed.

Dear community,
is it possible to define a \unacorda command that has an effect to the
midi-output?

Yes, the unaCorda command does perform the appropriate midi event.
I think the question is: is it possible to include custom MIDI
controller commands in the MIDI output? I think it is not yet, though
would be very useful.

Stefan,
Yes as David so eloquently put it, I made a mistake in my example. Sorry
for the confusion.
Instead of
\char ##x009
It should have been
\char ##x0e9
However it can also be
\char ##x00e9
Which is the actual value in that link I gave you.
Here is another example just to prove the

That's complete garbage. If your six-sentence description is
correct, then this problem can be reproduced in less than 8 lines
of lilypond code.
Since you're not willing to even *try* to clarify the issue, I
don't see how you can expect anybody else to work on it.

Hi Athanasius,
How can I get the dynamics (i.e pp fff) above the music instead of
below where the lyrics are?
Lillypond seems to keep putting them below.
Use the \dynamicUp macro.
Hope this helps!
Kieren.

From the docs on quoting other voices:
Only the contents of the first Voice occurring in an \addQuote command
will be considered for quotation, so music cannot contain \new and
\context Voice statements that would switch to a different Voice.
Here's a short example:

Hi James,
Nick wins!

A word of warning: Nick's solution mixes content (dynamic) with
presentation (dynamic placement).
Put another way, if you ever wanted to switch *all* dynamics to go

Hello!
I've set a piece of music and the stanzas of the lyrics are too close
together for me.
I've looked into the documentation ... but my obtuseness prevents me
from understanding just how to fix it. I'm including the code for the hymn.
TIA.

Hi,
2009/12/22 Athanasius Pelletier athp...@gmail.com:
How do I change the meter (Andante, Allegro) in the middle of a song?
\tempo Andante, \tempo Allegro
See the Notation Reference manual, section 1.6.3 Metronome marks.
Try removing the tempoMark at the beginning of that measure and do it
again. Rehearsal marks do not cooperate with spanners in my
experience. (not tested, just a hunch)

Like I said, I really gotta start reading those new features things.
Is there a way to force lilypond to include two key changes back to back,
separated only by a \bar :|. I get the two simultaneous key-change event
error but would like to override or find a work around if possible. The piece

Yes, you are right. Thank you.
