Hi, when lyric syllabes are close to each other, LilyPond can remove the hyphen, which is nice. But unfortunately, there sometimes remains a small space, which can be confusing because the syllabes then look like two words instead of one. (E.g. try this in 2.12 or 2.13) \relative c' { c4.
