thank you for the replies. My problem more specifically is that I am trying to change meteres midstream. So the piece is unmetered as handwritten. But it starts in a basic 4/4 but then only specific bars on specific staves change meters. If I could go unmetered and insert bar lines as needed

Hi everyone, I am working on making some of our church’s sheet music available for overhead projection but I have run into a small issue that I cannot seem to get right. The score is an SATB hymn where the women’s and men’s voices are on separate staves. I have chosen partcombine instead of
