Hello Lilyponders:
I've already made this question, but now it's lost under a ton of mails,
so I'll ask again:
I've been using David Nalesnik's CenterPaperColumn function for a while
now, and I've stumbled upon a glitch with tied notes in the first staff
when one of the notes involved is
No error for me on OSX 10.6 with various recent lilyponds. FWIW, here

Hello all:
I've been looking for a way to place braces [ ] around a whole chord
without succes. The lilypond documentation
http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.18/Documentation/notation/inside-the-staff#parentheses
warns that using \parenthesize with a chord will place each note between
parentheses,

Thank you for your answer Stephen. I've already used a similar solution,
but I really need a more automated one, since I'm working in a very
large project with about 300 pieces, and would like to avoid fixing
every tie in this condition manually.
Víctor.

I am adding an attachment that includes this flat sign with number
2 in its key signature.
There's also a sharp sign with number `3'...

Hi Server,
Here's a very basic solution for your urgent matter only.
Needs a lot of improvement though !!

Hi Víctor,
you can use the function \parch from the following post at the German
LilyPond board:
Or maybe closer to your picture :
\version 2.18.2
\score {
{
\time 9/8
\key f\major %% = or whatever
r4 fis''8
}
\layout {
\context {
\Score
\override KeySignature.stencil =
#(lambda (grob) (grob-interpret-markup grob

This works very well, thank you!

Hi
I'm new to lilypond. I have two questions.
1. How do you overide the default indentation of the first staffline.
2. How do you overide the keysignature change at the end of each staff?
Best,

Karl,
1. \layout { indent = #0 }
2. Not sure what you mean by a key signature at the end of a staff. Can you
provide a snippet?

First of all thank you for your help :-)
\version 2.18.2
notes = { c4 d e f |
\key d \major
\break
c4 d e fis |
}
\score { \notes }
At the end of bar one there is a key signature marking.
I want to overide that and only have the key change in the beginning of
bar two.
Thanks,
Karl
Karl,
Welcome. The elimination of the key signature has to do with an engraver
with which I am not that familiar. Someone else on the list could help you
there. Sorry.
