When writing 10 measures for the piano its helpful if the other instruments
auto print empty measures to retain the overview in the second break.

Don’t you have to tell both Finale and Sibelius how many staves and measures
you want, and in what time signature? I don’t recall either program
"auto-printing empty" anything.
