On z1.11 I have the NFS client and server up. I am trying to mount from
Linux-390 to mvs and getting some errors. Not much help from the Network File
System Guide and Reference guide either. Getting a Linux error msg, any help is
appreciated. See below, tks Matt
[root@lndb2con /]# mount -o

Also!
On the target definition, change it from 27.1.xx.xx:st1mat to
27.1.xx.xx:/st1mat
Therefore:
# mount -o ver=2 27.1.XX.XX:/st1mat /mnt

Matthew,
Supress the second -o from that command, right before the IP Address.

I think you want to drop the -o after ver=2 ? mount is thinking the nfs
address is an option -- and so thinks you want to mount just /mnt... and
doesn't know what should be mounted to it.

Removing the second -o helped but then I got bad parm msg. So then I just
entered mount 27.1.39.74:/st1mat /mnt and did not get any error. I did get a
permission denied when trying to cd to /mnt after the mount. The permissions
for /mnt are
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Mar 17 12:04 mnt.
How are the permissions defined on the target NFS mount? Which is the
output of # ls -la /mnt?

I modified the nfs server attribute file so no SAF security checks will be
done. I then reissued the mount 27.1.39.74:/st1mat /mnt command. I was then
able to cd into /mnt and do an ls command. I do get a list of files on the mvs
server.
2 questions
Is this mount 27.1.39.74:/st1mat /mnt

Trying to install Fedora 15 under z/VM. Has anybody come up with a good

Thanks.

I just finished installing this morning on our z/VM system. What problems are
you having? All I did was:
1. Take 2 .img files from the website; Modified the parm file
2. Punched the files to the virtual reader of a 2GB virtual machine (it
probably would've worked with 1GB)
3. IPL'd and
