Think I'm missing something..
This is what I am doing, when trying to copy folders from one hard drive
to another. Do you have any idea what I am doing wrong? One drive is called
home and the other one is home2, however there is also a 'home'
subfolder in the 'home2' folder.
Thanks for any
Thanks for all the help---got it.

Here is the line I ended up using.
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ftwjr.com]# cp -R /home2/home/httpd/vhosts/ftwjr.com
/home/httpd/vhosts/ftwjr.com
That copied all the subfolders that I wanted it to. The only problem
is that I ended up creating a new subfolder called ftwjr.com within the
ftwjr.com
If SAS thinks there is not a market on Linux, guess they are in for a real
shocker
As for SAS going up in price on M/F's?? well that is why so many shops are
looking at Linux or just dumping the product's..re-evaluating it's REAL
worth..and what alternatives there are out there...
Yes---jail---every board member and major stockholder .past and
present...

Sorry guys--- they ,SCO, is going to win only because the courts are not
that smart and liberal to the fullest extent ...so good bye Linux hello
Windows .. oh bye the way the judges are all going on vacation paid by
? guess
ya---trolls sorry they have no sense of humor
SCO should be sued for being STUPID as well as the attorney's they
should be ??? your choice LOL
as for this even getting to the courts and wasting the time and money ?? oh
well -- par for the course ..
Yes---so true---just getting frustrated with all this that goes on in
courts and people doing this type of junk ..
I for one hope they get what they really deserve and it to be a corner
movement to nail anyone else that tries this again..and maybe bleed over to
other dumb case like suing
Well here we go---debate not even going to go there and yes I have
seen/read the doc..still hold to my statement...
Hey---cool---maybe I 'll try that and retire
Good point lower IQ because of bad nutrition Ummm not a
bad idea
cool---when ya find someone let me know---I'm 57 and ready to get out .
Think McBride should run for a political office he'd be right up there
alley
SCO has an( ace )---but spelled different
would like know as well
Good for IBM---SCO wouldn't drop it because it would drop there stock and
the board and all will have useless paper for the wall.lol
Tell that to SCO who(CEO and Board) trying to get there GOLDEN PARACHUTES
..
Here here and hope your feeling better about time someone hit the
nail on the head
Getting tired of seeing anyone sueing anyone just to get money, and also to
pad there own pockets.. getting rediculious..Linux people all over may
as well start a class action of some sort against SCO..Bring them
down--shut them down..
Well I guess the courts will decide hopefully to our (Linux) favor
tired of all this ...
If IBM is going to get nailed I guess the next question is if IBM see to
regain it's lost money by suing Gates---How about the Knowledge he gain
from the OS/2 development he took and created Windows with
Hey --- opportunity here Lets all chip in and buy SCO, everyone buy a
share of stock and place add in local news papers for everyone to buy a
share of stock , then mail proxy to IBM / HP and whom ever to deal with
Board members on our terms like fire them all without there golden
parachute ...
Only reason wouold be to fire all moron's at SCO (giveing them nothing) and
give Company to IBM/HP to control ...
Would be worth the 7bucks ...
Does this sound like another MacDonald's ???
the article came from osopinion.com
So true---If more was published on history of the mainframe and facilities
avail.it would be shocking to all the so called NEW revolutions .
Oh well---tired of always hearing Gate's beeing sue and I guess it is IBM's
time again...
Gathe SCO not making enough money for the VP's to cover all the good times
they want and can't lay off anymore people to get there bonus and
payouts
They should follow what Gate's did in the beginning---give it away and nail
ya later on Maint./upgrades.
But then again how about IBM doing something really strange ... listen to
customers getting nailed on all the pricing by third part vendors as well
as IBM because it is a MAINFRAME ...guess it
Unfortunatly still alot to go ... still being hammered to justify any
upgrades and yes third party products not making it easy nor are the
smaller server groups . Yes I gree it is getting better and IBM offering
more -- but not enough and becoming too short on delivery .. cost of owner
ship still
Thank You Steven
35yrs here and have worked on too many platforms to dismiss any of them for
there suited needs--but management has been duped for so long and they have
been blinded by there training and have not--most--worked in any other
sector of the industry nor do they have REAL experience .
not unfair -- just a reality check, as for raid having cleaner interfaces
??? think your grabbing at straws .
point is PC's or the platform of choice of today is and does have a way to
grow , and when it does over the next some odd years , it too will then
have a mainframe tag ... and yes you too
sorry--but how long have you been working on or with a mainframe..not just
operating system..but hardware on the mainframe...all of it
Nice touch---wish this comment went to IBM to wake someone up---
Been in this for 35yrs and yes it has been the little things like this and
IBM's marketing foolups that has mad Mainframes a bad word..as well as 3rd
party vendors nailing you on costs because it is a mainframe..
when will it
Throughout the 35yrs in the field I have wished the same--still do---but I
have my reasons why I like it the way it is...
But I totally agree with teaching kids that there is a real system out
there that does not crash and burn every time you turn around...and why it
will not
Also wish they
I was about to comment but after 35 years in the field , all I can say is
OH WELL
good point
Being OS/390 R10 with many AS400's and looking for means to cut cost--Linux
is being looked at, but if was support on or current platform--even under
OMVS we would be interested..This would hold true to many Intel/Unix based
products..
Figures, IBM would drop ball
As for lack for Mainframe support---figures as well--people whom do not and
have not understood a REAL operating system(s)vs. toys
