On one account I have a local id (which can sudo to root ) to use if the client

We need to migrate all san luns from EMC vmax2 to IBM XIV.
I've been looking for doc on how to configure XIV luns with SLES11.
For example - are multiple zfcp_disk_configure commands required?
How many fcp addresses are dedicated to VM guest?
I am a bit confused about the additional paths.

Wondering how most folks handle this nowadays- for example whether use

The man page for lvconvert has me a bit confused.

What java policy are you using?
We use java gc 'gencon' policy for incremental java heap for some applications.
Garbage collection may occur more often - but less impact to application when
garbage collection does occur.
Don't know that that is your issue - but something to try.

Not quite the same but we have had issues with upgrades from SLES10 SP4 to

For mainframe dasd devices if files in /etc/sysconfig/hardware do not have the

/sbin/yast is simply a symbolic link to /sbin/yast2. /sbin/yast2 is a

In this case the upgrade process script is calling YaST2
Perhaps because we chose the ssh method rather than vnc in original parm
file
I have used YaST2 for a few years and do like it
It was nice and easy for doing hipersockets though yast maybe is as well
vnc method may have required installing
ient/viewer. Are you familiar with this?

Yet in /etc/profile I see a 3 digit value.

Is there any meaning to the fourth (really first) digit dis

Yes I should have paid more attention when others asked in the past.
I finally want to upgrade SLES10 SP4 servers on mainframe to SLES11.
I am having trouble locating the zseries instructions.
I also have a bit of a limitation in that my PC has no access to the
