I use x3270 and one thing I found was that if a line in your
keymap file actually has a trailing character e.g. a space,
then the mapping doesn't work.
Info supplied on the grounds of just in case...

Subject:Re: x3270 Keymap
Hi Folks,
Does anybody know of a nice keymap building utility (GUI) for x3270?
Failing that, can somebody send me a sample x3270pro file (Note: does
x3270pro need to be in the user's /home directory, or will x3270 find it if
you put it in it's install directory? - I'd prefer one master override
This is my .x3270pro file. I don't know about having a global default,

could find, but to be blunt, I just didn't understand it. I'm an old 3270

From the web site I mentioned and from Joe's note I found a way to create
a useful keymap without a lot of effort:
1. open an xterm on your linux pc
2. edit (vi, vim, ...) .x3270pro
3. at the end insert the following statements:
x3270.keymap: mine
x3270.keymap.mine: #override \
KeyPrior: PF
