Raj,
I thought the Linux Journal on C would be a good idea. The problem is that
they are Rs.995/- per disk per year but its probably worth it. I can chip in
the balance.

Hi! Raj,
An important aspect of LDD is being missed out, how will we let the junta
know about it. People on this list are fine, but we don't need to demo linux
to them we need to demo it to the rest of the world. Any chance that your
brother could arrange a TV spot for you? Like on Star News
Hello All,
Just a quick note to let you all know that on Sunday (19th), Linux Demo Day
is not a regualr LUG meeting. Sure all the LUG members are required to come,
but not to meet, rather to help us show the rest of the IT community what
Linux is all about. I get the feeling that many LUG
Gurgaon sounds like a good idea, specially with Suman in the news and
splashed all over the magazines these days ;)
Did you all see the latest issue of Computers Today, for a change very
positive coverage.

around Nov 25th. Does anybody have any more details ?
Thanks.
I know that Atul is going for it and also that PCQ will be there with some
copies of the issue, but apart from that I have no more knowledge of it. If

1400??

Not with me Suman, I am scared of Databases in general ;)

Try this:
Check your file /etc/conf.modules and add the line:
alias parport_lowelevel parport_pc
Also make sure that in the BIOS the port is not set to auto but rather to a
fixed address and IRQ, eg. 0378/IRQ7 and that the mode is also not set to
auto but to SPP, ECP or EPP.

SETI is a strange animal. I decided to run the version compiled for i686
and on my machine which is a PII-450 with 64MB I get an average CPU usage
time of 9 hrs.
I normally run this at the time that I am not using the machine, thats
only when I sleep, gotta do that sometimes you know ;)
Yep, the SETI server seems to be down, I finished a unit between last
night and early this morning and all day today I have not gotten another
unit.

Babu was so impressed by RMS that he has downgraded his gnu/linux from kernel 2.2.12
to 2.0.36
He is using Debian GNU/Linux 2.1
then he should be using the GNU/OS rather than GNU/Linux coz thats what
RMS talks about these days ;)
