1. The problem with your SIS card is a legendary
problem in Linux for a long time, due to the non-standard interface of the video
card. Inspite of recent fixes by Red Hat or SuSe(the one who makes the card)
...there hasn't till date
the exact fstab entry u need to specify the mount point as well
like /mnt/cdrive e.tc.
I hope u have done that , or try switching vfat to msdos
