Hi Manu, I was rather busy lately. I just picked up reading on the mailinglist again. Saw you have been busy lately. :) I thought I'll give it a try. Got your latest tree (of today). I have a TT3200 card. Zapping DVB-S works 9 out of 10 times. Zapping DVB-S2 5 out of 10 times. Looking at the state of the driver a couple of weeks ago I must say I am very much pleased with this result! I am willing to help out to get it 100% stable. Were do I start? Should I send you some logs like Arthem? Just let me know. The driver has the same issues like the old driver on getting a LOCK
on both DVB-S and DVB-S2 channels.
In stb0899_drv.c. where you see SearchRange=3MHz, try increasing it to
10MHz and see whether it makes any difference ?

Can you please get the log for (with STB0899 and STB6100 with verbose=5) a) 3 Mhz 1) a complete cycle with a LOCK, including where it calls track. 2) 3 complete cycles where it fails to LOCK, including where it calls track. b) 10 Mhz 1) a complete cycle with a LOCK, including where it calls track. 2) 3 complete cycles where it fails to LOCK, including where it calls track. with both DVB-S and DVB-S2 modes, for the same frequency for each. Please be careful as not to mix up the logs. I got 73 LOCK's and 7 FAIL's out of 80 tries to tune the same channel. I will run the same test with 3 MHz tomorrow. Let's see if there is a big difference between 3 and 10 MHz. What exactly does this parameter do? The name of the term defines exactly it's role, It is the window. This fixed the loading problem.
The modules loads correct (see modprobe.log), but sometimes (very
seldom) it fails to load (see error.log).
I am also not able to remove the modules (see rmmod.log).
Tuning to channes does not work with the original szap (see szap.log.gz).
It also does not work with the modified one - I am getting a kernel ooops (see
ooops.log.gz).

Please load the stb6100 module also with verbose=5
so you can do something like this
modprobe stb6100 verbose=5
modprobe stb0899 verbose=5
modprobe budget_ci
And get the error messages again the same way. Just need the szap and the oops
messages.
