Can I make the linux kernel hold on to outgoing AX.25 packets for a few
hundred milliseconds or more and group any queued packets into a single
transmission? How would I do that if possible?

I have lost the link into hydra.carleton.ca 3600. I can traceroute too
filter-onet.carleton.ca but that's it. My backup link died as well. Is
there another Convers feed that I can use until Hydra is revived? Using
htpp via dynamic adsl.

I would use SLOTTIME. Then PERSISTANCE and RESPONSETIME.
This will NOT work with (APRS) digipeated frames.
The linux implementation of AX.25 may have different names
for the above TNC2 clone standards.
