I just signed up for a voip service Directtalk and they sent me a
Telco box and it says that it is a gateway.
In either case the setup screen had me enter my user name password and
actcoms servers address.
but I could never get the device to work.

Yes, and it is locked. The CISCO units can be easily unlocked, but then
they don't work on Vonage

i just bought in Ebay Linksys PAP2 for testing and i made it clear to
the seller that i don't want it to be locked... and of course i got an
original Vonage package, DAMN!
