Hi, I’m trying to set my monitor to a 1024x768 resolution so at you can see from the XF86Config file bellow I commented everything that is related to either 640x480 or 800x600. Trying to run the X server I receive an error which states that there is no 1024x768 mode so the X server cant load.

Yedidya: glibc is preferable, especially if you run a glibc-ed distribution (like RedHat 6, Debian 2.1...). However, any of them should work, if you have the respective libc library (just ls -l /lib and see). You can put it manually in /usr/X11R6/bin, but you'd better get a package of your
