I found the following 56k modem, and I think it
should work with Linux (haven't tried yet, as I don't my old banged up box
with me :-), since it doesn't need special windows drivers (it works fine as a
standard modem under windows) and you can configure it as either PnP, or set
your own IRQ

BTW: Isn't mlm.iai.co.il a domain of the TASIYA AVIRIT (iai) ? Have they
using/starting using Linux ?

Hi
Debian, in the unstable (potato) release, has lots of stuff for the
palm pilot. Compilers, templates, applications. Don't think they have
an emulator. Look at
ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/dists/unstable/main/binary-i386/Packages.gz
and .../binary-i386/otherosfs/prc-tools_0.5.0r-2.deb.

I have 0.98 Installed, from 10/1998 (don't know what RH6 delivers),
and it's docs say :

result until now. Maybe a DPMI problem (97/03/04).

I got xemacs21 -fn heb10x20 (took some fidling with fonts.alias and

I tried under the mule menu to set language environment and to set the

I tried the option show character table for iso-8895-8 and I di

See attachment for a primitive implementation. It should work in most
cases. hrev is reversing (in fact, BiDi rendering) algorithm, and rev_d
I my self a Minivend starter and I had the same problem.
use the makecat script to create the catalog and then give it the user (which
already exist on the system) that will handle it.
You'll get their Simple catalog up running ,then all u have to do is make your
changes to the source.

Stan, the answer is correct, BU
Try from the win95 partition, from the dos command line, either
fdisk /mbr
or
fdisk \mbr
I don't remember which way the slash goes, but one of them will just do
nothing so don't worry, the other should work it will put back the
original dos mbr in place.

Hi all !
I need to get some data off very old tapes. These were known as
9-Track, 1600BPI Reel-to-reel tapes. These are the monsters that they used
in films to show "we are near a computer" in the 60s and 70s.
They were used extensively on mainframes, but also on minicomputers (early

Hi
do you make these kind of lectures at the center area (Tel Aviv ?) ?
maybe you should consider doing it ate the installation parties as a
promotion for Linux ?

Run a search on freshmeat - that's where I got these two.
Just search for "X Download Manager" and "caitoo".

Thats an easy one, and also a very FAQ one:
from Dos/Windoze just run "fdisk /mbr" and kiss lilo goodbye.

check out http://kde.tdyc.com
it's the official kde packaging project and they surely have it on their
list...
But be advised - caitoo doesn't support ftp proxy yet and has experemental
support for http proxy Kget (supposedly an older version of caitoo) did
support it , but was much less stable
