init sequence
Hi, I added a second hardrive to an existing system. I moved there three directories which should be mounted at boot, and I added the corresponding entries in /etc/fstab. Trouble is that during the e2fsc stage of the boot, I often get the message nonexistent device˝ for their mount points. Apparently udev is slow to detect them: If I comment out their entries in /etc/fstab and e2fsc them after the end of the boot sequence, and subsequently mount them, it works allright. Any suggestion ? Re: init sequence
Hi, I'm not familiar with 'e2fsc stage', but I solved a similar problem a while ago by labelling the partitions and specifying the mount command with LABEL=abc instead of an actual device name. UUID also serves the same functiuons. Rony On Sun, Nov 20, 2011 at 12:10 PM, Avraham Rosenberg for.avra...@gmail.comwrote: Hi, I added a second hardrive to an existing system. Israeli Linux Friendly Compatibility List?
Hello All, Is there a resource I could check for Israeli friendly Linux apps / sites? For instance: I'd like to use a personal finance program like KMoney, but customized to Israel (Hebrew interface, default settings for ILS, Israeli banks pre-installed and so on Thanks, Amichai. ___ Linux-il mailing list Linux-il@cs.huji.ac.il http://mailman.cs.huji.ac.il/mailman/listinfo/linux-il

It also allow you to convert currency from one currency to another, but it understand and does not allow you to convert the default currency to itself :) I did not look for Hebrew translation though. I only brought up KMoney as an example... I am looking for a complimentary resource I can tap into as a post-install resource to make a vanila Linux installation Israli friendly Somewhere I go to after installing Linux and grab whatever I need to customize the app to Israel (i.e: import the Israeli banks list to KMoney) Amichai. In the meantime, either I'll e2fsc and mount manually, or write in the rc.local three commands to the effect if that partition is not mounted, then e2fsc it and mount it (one for each one), or better, then execute again /etc/init.d/checkfs.sh and /etc/init.d/mountall.sh.
