Same here. I used the .D5 file and the webgui many times.
As suggested previously you might have to do a stepped upgrade.

iDRAC Service Module is installed in CentOS and it might be able to
shutdown/interrupt/reestablish communication to the NIC for -you know- NIC
firmware/reporting/diagnostic/status reasons. Just guessing here. Sorry if
