Do you have sd_mod loaded or in the kernel? Yep, sd_mod is listed by lsmod ("used by - 0"). The dmesg output after plugging in the device seems to vary. Here's another example: usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using address 2 usb 1-1: control timeout on ep0in usb 1-1: unable to read confi
