While I've been using Linux for many years, I recently found myself with
the first instance of needing USB support for one of my systems. After
repeated power outages taking my servers offline rather un-gracefully, I
decided to obtain a UPS - and picked up a Tr
Hmm, I'm running the same board but have no problems with USB.
I did notice that I had to move to a 2.4.22 kernel to get the UDMA to work.

In general, I believe that any modem that is "hardware based" or says it
has an "onboard DSP" ought to work in linux. I am using a Best Data 56K
"Smart One" (Model 56USB-SP / 56USB-SPMAC / 56USBP).
My experience is that it works flawlessly for dial-out, but for dial-in

to be the only one having this cam.
After hours infront of google, i finally found the camera supported in

Hello,
Some late follow-up on the Lexar Jumpdrive Pro 2.0 256 MB on Red Hat Linux

on Mac OS X and Win2k/XP. See inline for my success.

"Something like" isn't very helpful but I suppose it quickly disappears?
I had very similar problems with
Hello all,
Subject says it all, when modprobe ehci-hcd system locks up. Only line I get
on console is something like:
10.4 VIA USB 2.0
Is this a known problem?
What other info should I provide?

What does such a modem need to work under linux? If it has a Lucent
(Venus) chipset will it work or can there be other difficulties? Can
somebody tell me some vendor who has USB modems working with linux?
TIA,

Hi all,
I'm building a NAS device and I thought it would be cool if I could connect
through USB in a way the client would recognize the server as a USB storage
device. Is this possible in Linux? Does anyone know about such a project?
TIA,
