I've recently got a Apple iPod shuffle 1GB (read flash
drive) which requires high power USB2.0. However I'm
runing my old PIII (993 MHz), 256MB, Linux FC3 (Kernel
2.6.9) with USB1.1 (12Mb/s full speed).
When I plugin the iPod to any of the USB port I get an
error message

I am having trouble figuring if the toshiba gigabeat (essentially, mp3
player) is supposed to work in linux or not. Simply, I would like to
copy my mp3s on it when it's connected to my computer.
