Hi Ron,
fixes welcome. This is CF that is failing. Actually it reads the data and
the data is fine, but when it jumps to the payload nothing happens.
Have you tried different CF? Different CF behave differently. Some CF
card need more delay/timeout in the IDE driver.
-Andrew

Hi Ron,
actually, as near as we could tell the data was getting in to memory. But
once it jumped to the payload it never came back.
Interesting. What payload are u using? I have been using etherboot which

I think Bochs BIOS and VGA BIOS are running with cache on.
Try changing mem.basek value from 768 to 1024 in northbridge.c,
it will report 0xC-0xF area as no ram, so it will not cached.

One of the advantages of LinuxBIOS is you can flash rom in Linux using
flash_on and flash_rom which comes with LinuxBIOS. With these utils, you
don't need mtd.

I used getpir to get new irq_table.c,but the IRQ still is 0.
Who can tell me what should I do?
Thanks.

I think your code is pretty old. These files are required. You also

Now, the question is, what's the right etherboot image for this board?
Anybody built one yet?
I put them at

It will load kernel from hda1, then etherboot.

The EPIA mini-ITX that I have boots fine with 2.4.18 with the BIOS that came
with it. Doesn't this mean that it is a bridge setup issue? Or does it not
happen on all boards?
Normal bios boots ok but not with LinuxBIOS. There could be some magic setting
for that.

Just want to confirm winfast 6300 with flash rom. It behaves as the same as
pcm-5823. Looks like copy pirq table only works with DOC. LinuxBIOS with
flash rom doesn't need copy pirq table and probably won't work with

Ron,
IDE problem: If this is a version -a1 or -1 pcm5823 it will not work. Only
version -a2 or -2 worked. What version do you have?
Can you double-check that your changes to mainboard.c for this platform
were really necessary? I am not convinced.
Mine is pcm-5823-e0a1.

So at this point can people build working EPIA from linuxbios source tree?
It can boot and no irq working yet. Pretty much the same as before except for
some code fixing.

/irq_tables.c?
That's right. irq_tables.c and mainboard.c should be at
freebios/src/mainboard/via/epia.
What about your linuxbios config file? Are you using the example.config in
epia's dir?
Do you have mainboard and target setup right?
